Chapter 9: The First Battle (I)
Yugovich took me back to the little dirt slope where we set off and told Milk what I thought. Milk agreed, after a brief consideration. There's no other good way to do it, and it's nice to have a way. We agreed to give priority to Milk's attack tomorrow morning, and the attack time was set at about four o'clock. Feints, the bigger the momentum, the better. We attack from here after they have made a feint. Milk's side quickly leaned over after an exchange of fire with us, flanking from both sides to quickly push the other side back.
After we had discussed it, I took the three of us back to the spot where we were going to attack. All three of them had participated in the Georgian operation, and one of them was the one who had set up defenses on the ground floor and on the streets after we stormed the building, and who kept in touch with us at all times. His name was Mirosh, and he was nicknamed Captain because he used to be a boatman. The other two are named O'Brien, nicknamed Mole because he is a miner, and the other is called Bata, a nicknamed director, who used to be a theater lover.
As soon as I arrived, I began to allocate manpower, and the old guy naturally wanted to follow me. I left the gardener here, it's a vantage point, and it's a good place to play what he does best. In addition, I left one person for him, the police. Responsible for providing cover for him or being a secondary shooter.
For the others, I decided to leave the old guy Yugovich's men on it first, continue to attack on it, attract the attention of the other party, and cover me and the people I brought with me. The men who began to replace Yugovich after I went down began to attack, and continued on with the cooperation of the gardener and the police. And Yugovich and his men came down at this point, and then let them go straight to the frontal attack, or take a detour to see when the time came.
After the assignment was completed, I arranged for the sentinels, and everyone began to rest in place, and it was forbidden to walk around, talk or smoke casually. Because we are close, we are about to launch a sudden attack, so we must not be detected by the other party.
But after we had been quietly lurking for more than an hour, there was a faint noise from below. I looked at Yugovic next to me, and Yugovic pointed down, and it seemed that he had heard it too. The voice looked like someone was talking, and I couldn't make out what it was saying, but it seemed to be laughter.
Laughter? Does this mean that the other party is relaxed? This operation was not a surprise to them and was not passive? I don't know if that's the case, but for now, it's impossible for me to talk and laugh in such a situation. It wasn't long before the sound faded away, and we were back in a long wait. It's actually very torturous, and I can't sleep or do anything. In fact, everyone is excited about the upcoming battle, whether they are afraid or eager to fight. But now we can only wait, waiting for the time to do it.
At about two o'clock in the morning, another scattered burst of gunfire came from Milk. After a brief exchange of fire, it calmed down again. After listening carefully, Yugovic approached me and whispered to me that this should be another temptation from the other party, and it was not a big problem.
I think so, immediately signaled everyone not to be nervous and continue to be quietly on standby. After this temptation, the other party was completely quiet, and it was almost four o'clock when Jugovic touched me and pointed to my watch, indicating that I was almost at the end of the day.
I nodded to him and motioned for everyone to get ready to get moving. Everyone is in good shape, everyone is ready. Gardeners and policemen are already in place.
After a while, gunshots came from Milk, and they started to move. Immediately after that, there was movement below, and the enemies here began to move. They began to communicate, to move.
Yugovich and I came to the gardener and the policeman, and the sky was slightly bright, and from here, in addition to the bright light from the shot, we could see some moving shadows, but it was still impossible to see the ambush without moving.
"How? Want to get started? Yugovic asked.
I shook my head and said, "Wait." Don't worry. "Yugovic listened to me say this, looked at me and didn't speak.
As Milk's voice grew louder, the sky slowly grew brighter and brighter, and the shadows and shots that could be seen below became more and more visible. I looked at the gardener next to me and said, "Can you see clearly?" ”
The gardener nodded at me and said, "Almost." ”
I looked at the time, now
It was already half past four. I looked at Yugovich and said, "Let's do it." As previously arranged. ”
Yugovic nodded, "Understood." ”
I turned around and patted him at the oil bottle, and he immediately beckoned the others to get moving. Jugovic led us to the cliff, pointed the way and turned back.
It wasn't wide, and I was the first to jump over. After that, there was a very steep downhill climb, and we quickly went down the downhill road. Just as we were marching, gunfire rang out from Yugovich above.
The enemy below immediately exploded the pot, and such a blow should have come completely unexpected. There are various shouts from below, as if they are organizing defenses in rapid communication.
We quickly came to the bottom, and about fifty meters below we could see several figures moving under cover to the depths of the woods, from here, it was not easy to attack on the cliff, but it was quite easy to fight from above and below.
"There seem to be quite a few of them." As he spoke, the oil bottle pointed to the moving figures in the forest.
I looked, and it was, and there were at least a dozen of them. I turned around and said, "The team spreads out on my right hand side, first eat the gang in front of me, and then the lights Yugovich and them come down and follow the retreating people to catch up for a while." ”
"Understood." The oil bottle said yes, and immediately let the others disperse and prepare to start.
After the personnel dispersed, I picked up my gun and continued to walk down, and everyone pulled out and pushed down towards the enemy who was shooting in the direction of Milk, who were shooting on the cliff and Milk.
After twenty meters I stopped, almost. It's time to get your hands dirty here. I raised the muzzle of my gun, quickly aimed at a firing shadow and pulled the trigger.
As soon as I shot here, everyone else pulled the trigger. A dense volley of bullets struck the men in front of them in the backs. Although the sky is not bright at the moment, the vision is not very good, but you can also feel that this round of shooting has put down several people.
"Advance!" I shouted to my right, and I shot as I walked forward.
The group of enemies below quickly gave up their resistance under the sudden blow, and quickly got up one by one and began to run towards the woods. They came out of hiding, in fact, it was easier for us to shoot. It's just a moving target.
I stopped and pulled the trigger from time to time at the moving black shadows, and from time to time I shot bullets from the cliff, and after a while I heard footsteps from behind us, dragging oil bottles beside me and saying, "Yugovich, they're coming." ”
"Onward! Follow behind these people and let them lead us to their companions! I said as I got up and chased after him.
Soon I saw corpses on the ground, about six or seven scattered among the trees. The other party did not leave anyone to hold on, but all retreated into the forest, without even some decent cover and resistance.
Milk's side quickly attacked from the front, and after meeting up with them, I slowed down, and Yugovich chased after him from behind and said, "They probably retreated to the abandoned barracks." You can see it through the woods. At this moment, the sound of gunfire came from the direction of the enemy's retreat, and this shot was not close to us, not attacking us. Soon the gunfire became very intense.
"Those two idiots aren't going to be breaking through, are they?!" Yugovic said with some annoyance.
