Chapter V: Action (I)
After dark, I asked Lukovic and Aliang about their progress. They told me that the work was nearing its end and that it was almost done.
Hearing them say that, I immediately asked Christovic to bring Sharif over and ask him to call his men. Before the phone call, I asked the old wolf to choose the place where the car would be delivered, and he set the place outside the Grand ThéÒtre de Bordeaux according to the conditions I had proposed. Because according to him, there are a lot of people there at this time, able to provide us with enough cover.
After Sharif informed his men, I took Christovic out with Salim and Sharif. After walking two blocks out of the road, we flagged down a taxi. Just in case, we also brought a travel bag with two G36 rifles and ammunition.
After about twenty minutes, we arrived in the central area of Bordeaux. It's much more lively than the rest of the city, which makes the traffic difficult, and there are long queues of cars waiting to pass at every intersection, and our taxi is naturally stop-and-go, and even the driver says that he shouldn't drive here at this time.
After seeing the Grand Theater from a distance, I asked the driver to pull over and get out of the car. This is not because of road congestion and waste of time, but more importantly, from a safety perspective.
The three of us sandwiched Sharif in the middle, and Salim walked unhurriedly to the opposite side of the Grand Theater with his bag on his back. After a look around the Grand Theater, he asked Sharif to dial his men's phones.
"Ask your people to drive the car. Stop by us. I said
Sharif took the phone, looked at me as if plucking up the courage to say, "Did you let me go when you got the car?" β
I glanced at him and smiled, "It's not the time yet, but I won't embarrass you if you don't play tricks." You'll be free tomorrow at the latest. With that, I motioned for him to call immediately.
Sharif looked a little disappointed when I said this, and reluctantly dialed his man's phone. After a brief description of where we were, we hung up.
I took the phone in his hand and handed it to Christovich on the side, "Don't be so worried. I said that if you let it go, you will definitely release it. Unless you look for your own death. β
About five minutes later, two cars were pulled over. It was a sedan of two Renaults. The two men driving slowed down as they approached us, and only quickly stopped the car on the side of the road in front of us when they saw Sharif on the side of the road.
"You two go back first." Sharif cooperated as the two got out of the car and said, "Remember, don't mention it to anyone." β
The two men who were sending us nodded immediately after looking at us, turned around and quickly disappeared into the crowd without saying anything
γ
Instead of getting into the car right away, we asked Salim and Christovic to check the on-and-off of both cars. Although I don't think there will be any tricks in these two cars, I have to be more careful and cautious at this critical moment before the operation, which will only do us good and not harm.
Moments later, after both Salim and Kristovic had told me there was no problem, we got into the car. Salim drove the back one, and the rest of us got into the front one, with Christovic driving.
It's not easy to get in this city center, and it's the same way to get out. It took nearly half an hour and minutes for our two cars to get out of the central congestion, and it took about the same amount of time to get back to the slum where we had stayed.
"Shall we just drive back?" Christovic asked.
"Yes." As I spoke, I took out my phone, "I'll take everyone out of here as soon as I get back." β
"In such a hurry?" Christovic asked as he drove the car.
"It's not urgent." I shook my head, "We've been there too long, so be careful." "Actually, I'm more worried about what D said in the museum, which is that the guy in the photo I was carrying felt that we were hiding in a place where there was a lack of surveillance equipment and the police would not go very much.
I dialed Lukovich's phone, and as soon as he answered, I said, "Is the bomb ready?" β
"Almost. Have you got your car? Lukovic asked rhetorically.
"It got it, it went well. You immediately pack up your things. As soon as the things are ready, take them out of there with them. I said.
"Understood." I hung up after Lukovich answered.
I put the phone away, and my mind couldn't help but think about the police station in action. It's not much use to think about it, but we've done so many things, isn't it just for the purpose of that? Let's hope everything goes well tomorrow when the operation begins...
While I was thinking in the car, our car passed through an intersection and officially entered the slum where we were hiding. Just as we had crossed the intersection, another car came in from the intersection on our right, and quickly overtook us after a while. At the same time as the car was overtaking, another beam of headlights shone into the car from the rear.
I looked back and saw another car behind us sandwiched between our car and the one Salim drove afterward. The car, like the previous one, had been following us for a while, accelerating and passing over us.
The appearance of these two cars made my heart furry for a while... Because there are very few cars in this place. In particular, even fewer go to the slums. Why did you walk two blocks to take a taxi before? Not only for safety, but also for the sake of safety, but more importantly, there are no taxis willing to come in. During the time I spent in this place, I saw only a few cars in total, and I can say that I knew them all. That's why I think this place is good, because it's easy for people from outside to see it.
And the two cars just now are obviously unfamiliar. What are they doing in this area at this time? And it's such a special moment. Of course, maybe I'm thinking too much, but I still say that it's always wrong to be cautious and cautious.
"Pay attention to the distance from that car." I looked at the taillights of the car in front of me, "Pay attention to the direction they are going." β
"There's a problem with the car?" Christovic asked.
"Don't ask so much. Don't be careless. I said, pulling out the phone and dialing Salim's. As soon as he answered the phone, I said, "Follow us." Gun in your car, get ready. β
"Understood." Salim didn't ask much, just answered.
I hung up the phone and looked at the taillights of the car in front of me, the two cars were getting farther and farther away from us, and after walking for a while they turned towards an intersection on the right, temporarily disappearing from view.
But I didn't dare let my guard down, and as we passed through the intersection, I made a point of glancing toward the way they turned. The two cars seemed to slow down after entering the road and slowly approached the side of the road, apparently about to stop. Didn't I come to us because I was too nervous?
