Lin Dan Khan suffered heavy losses in this crusade.
Although he defeated the Alu tribe, Huang Taiji, who led a large army, gave him a head-on blow.
The two sides fought for several months, and finally Lin Dan Khan was defeated and fled in a hurry.
Lin Dan Khan, who fled to Karamangnai, did not want to provoke Wang Zezhi, he wanted to gather the tribes he could still control to cross the Yellow River and go to Qinghai.
In the first year of Chongzhen, Lin Dan Khan formed an alliance with the Tsuktu Taiji (Chotu Khan) of Mobei Outer Khalkha, the Tibetan Zangba Khan, and the Baili Tusi Yuedun Dorjee of the Kham District, because they did not believe in the Yellow Religion, so they were called the "Anti-Yellow Religion Alliance".
Lin Dan Khan tried to use this alliance to make a comeback.
After Lin Dan Khan fled to the Karamangnai steppe, he immediately ordered his subjects, who had two or more oxen and two sheep, to gather at Karamangnai and follow him to Qinghai.
The reason why Lin Dan Khan dared to garrison troops in Karamangnai was because this area had always been his territory.
Even if Wang Zezhi conquered Guihua City, he couldn't manage it here, and the emaciated camel was bigger than the horse.
Lin Dan Khan, who fled to this place, was unwilling to be occupied by Wang Zezhi in this way, and he sent several cavalry to harass him from time to time.
They harassed the attacks while delivering messages.
Lin Dan Khan ordered the herdsmen who remained attached to him to follow him and cross the Yellow River as far as they could.
The subjects who followed Lin Dan Khan had been without food since the loss of the city of Guihua.
The garrison he remained at the junction of Mongol and Khalkha was annihilated by the right-wing forces that resisted him.
Lin Dan Khan defeated the Alu Department thousands of miles away, and the grain and grass that he had finally snatched were captured by Huang Taiji.
In the current Lin Dan Khan camp, there is not even food, and he has no choice but to give an order to kill war horses for food.
The morale of the soldiers under his command was extremely low.
In the second year of Chongzhen, at the beginning of April.
On this day, the Transkhalkha tribes sent envoys, and they were afraid that Lin Dan Khan would come to attack them, and they had the intention of showing goodwill.
Lin Dan Khan was defeated several times by the hands of Wang Zezhi and then by the hands of Huang Taiji, and now he knew that the garrison he left behind was also annihilated by the right-wing tribes, and in a fit of anger, Lin Dan Khan beheaded the messenger sent by Transkhalkha and hung the body of the envoy outside the tent.
Lin Dan Khan's vast yurt was filled with the leaders of various tribes.
In the yurt, there were bursts of talking, and if it was a Ming people, of course, the people would not understand it, because they spoke all in Mongolian.
"Now that we are suffering from the enemy, the Jin people and the Ming people are always ready to take the opportunity to retaliate against us, what should we do?"
Tashhai, the chief officer of the two wings, asked worriedly.
His words resonated with everyone, and for a moment, the leaders of the big tent all looked at Lin Dan Khan.
"We're moving right away." Lin Dan Khan didn't want to reply immediately.
"Where are you moving?" Another two-wing chief officer, Hu Luke Zhaisang, asked.
"Qinghai, Qiuketu Taiji, Zangba Khan, and Yuedun Dorjee have an alliance with me, and we can rest and recuperate there." Lin Dan Khan said.
"But the Ming man blocked our way, and Naiman, Ao Han, and Alakzhuot voted for the Jin, and Haozit, Uzhumuqin, and Sunit went to the Khalkha people in Mobei. Let's have a book
We are far less powerful than we used to be, can we move safely? ”
Tashhai, the chief officer of the two wings, said worriedly again.
After the Battle of Quang Ninh, the Later Jin offensive against the Ming Dynasty was temporarily stopped, and the internal contradictions of Mongolia gradually became prominent.
The intermarriage and oath between Nekhalkha and Houjin aroused the suspicion of Lin Dan Khan.
He severely accused the minister who was in charge of the 30,000 households of the left wing, Sirhunak Dureng Hongtaiji, for his ineffective control, and even suspected that he had secret contacts with Nurhachi, and was ready to take necessary measures against Sirhunak Dulenghongtaiji and other Zhutaiji.
This actually accelerated the division within Mongolia, and originally after Lin Dan Khan converted to the Red Sect, the Mongolian tribes that respected the Yellow Sect had become inseparable from Lin Dan Khan's appearance and began to act on their own.
In February 1622, the special minister of the left wing, who managed 30,000 households on the left wing, had a disagreement with Lin Dan Khan, so he led more than 3,000 households to Liaoyang City and surrendered to Nurhachi.
Affected by this, in the first month of 1623, the Inner Khar Karabashi Shib, Sonomu, Mangguo, Dalai Taiji and others also led 500 households to Liaoyang City.
At this time, the Uzhumuqin tribe of Weng Gundu Lalzi Dorji Chechen Jinong and his uncle's son Sereng Erdeni Taiji also led their troops to defect to Mobei Outer Khalkha because of discord with Lin Dan Khan.
The Sunit Division, Susai Batu Lujinong, the Haoqi Special Division, the Celing Yilden, and the Abagar Division, Dusi Garza, Saktu Jinong, each led their own divisions, and also defected to Mobei.
At that time, although the Fifth Inner Khalkha Department allied with Nurhachi, it still communicated with the Ming Dynasty, and at the same time, Nurhachi asked Nekharkha to sever relations with Chahar, which was also opposed, so Nurhachi launched a punitive attack on Inner Khalkha in April 1623, killing the hardliners against the Later Jin - Zalut Department Taiji Angan.
The leader of the Inner Khalkha Five Alliance, Zhuo Liktu, sent people to Lin Dan Khan, hoping to take revenge together, but Lin Dan Khan did not respond.
Lin Dan Khan did not dare to confront Houjin head-on, which chilled the hearts of the five departments of Inner Khalkha and also laid the nail for future differences.
Lin Dan Khan's desire to unify Mongolia could not but threaten the interests of the Mongol feudal lords, among which the Korqin tribe led by Obataiji and the Chahar tribe of Lin Dan Khan were the most tense, and at the same time, they became increasingly close to the Later Jin, and by 1624 they simply abandoned Lin Dan Khan and formed an alliance with Nurhachi.
The alliance between Korqin and Houjin was different from that of the previous Inner Khalkha, which was an "important alliance" under the coercion of the Later Jin and had little effect due to the resistance of the Inner Khalkha; Korqin, on the other hand, took the initiative to form an alliance and explicitly targeted Lin Dan Khan, so Horqin bore the brunt of Lin Dan Khan's unification.
In October 1624, Lin Dan Khan first sent the Gyirji Lama to negotiate with Oba, but the result was an unhappy part.
In November, Lin Dan Khan led an army to conquer Korqin, and Oba was defeated by the Chahar army, so he hurriedly sent people to report to his ally Houjin.
Nurhachi personally led the minister of Baylor to help, and after arriving at Zhenbeibao, he ordered Mang Gurtai to lead 5,000 troops to Nong'an Tower, but in fact it was just a bluff, and did not mean to protect Korqin. However, after Lin Dan Khan received the news of Houjin's reinforcements, he was unwilling to confront Houjin head-on, so he hurriedly retreated, and the siege of Korqin was resolved.
In the spring of 1626, after the defeat of the Battle of Ningyuan, the Later Jin resented the Nekhalkha Yin to help the Ming Dynasty, and it was the second crusade against the Nekhalkha, and the Nekhalkha was defeated, and its leader Zhuoliktu met Lin Dan Khan when he was defeated by the Xilamulun River, and Lin Dan Khan severely rebuked Zhuo Liktu for his disloyalty to himself and the matter of the Nekharkha between the Ming Dynasty and the Later Jin Dynasty, and took the opportunity to merge the rest of his army, so that one of the five Inner Khalkha tribes, the Fried Flower Department (Uziyet) no longer exists.
In August 1626, Nurhachi died, Huang Taiji inherited the throne of Houjin Khan, in October of that year, Huang Taiji repeatedly robbed and killed the envoys sent to Korqin by Houjin in the five Inner Khalkha tribes for the third crusade against the Inner Khalkha, Lin Dan Khan took advantage of the fire again to rob, attacked the remnants of the Inner Khalkha, the obedient raised it, and the enemy was killed, and the five Inner Khalkha departments fell apart under the attack of the Later Jin and Lin Dan Khan, leaving only the Bahrain Department and the Zalut Department.
With the Korqin Department having been thrown into the Houjin camp and the Nekhalkha Five Divisions were destroyed, Huang Taiji began to infiltrate Lin Dan Khan's Chahar Department.
In order to alleviate the antagonistic relationship between the two forces, Naiman and Ao Han were sandwiched between the forces of Lin Dan Khan and Huang Taiji, and in order to ease the antagonistic relationship between the two, they were willing to act as mediators, so they sent the Qierji Lama to Shenyang in early 1627 to negotiate peace with Huang Taiji.
Huang Taiji not only hinted at the return of the two Etoks to Houjin, but also asked to communicate directly with Lin Dan Khan.
When Lin Dan Khan learned of the fact that his two Etoks had paid Houjin, not only did he not understand their thoughts, but instead crusaded against Naiman and Ao Han, who were under pressure from Lin Dan Khan, betrayed Lin Dan Khan in June 1627, returned to Houjin, and made an oath with Huang Taiji.
Since then, Lin Dan Khan has rebelled on the left flank.
On the other hand, Huang Taiji was becoming more and more prosperous, and Guangning, the stronghold of trade between the Chahar Department and the Ming Dynasty at that time, had fallen, and Lin Dan Khan wanted to take the rich "city reward" given by the Ming Dynasty to the right wing by annexing the right-wing tribes for himself.
As a result, Lin Dan Khan was forced to move west and began to fight against the right-wing tribes.
Until now, after years of fighting, Lin Dan Khan is no longer Wang Zezhi's opponent at all.
