A note about Journey to the West

Journey to the West was not a banned ~ book in the Ming Dynasty, but a bestseller. I can't send a book review, so let's start a single chapter.

I don't know why some people think that Journey to the West was banned in the Ming Dynasty ~ book. Let's explain.

There are many versions of Journey to the West, such as Shidetang, Yang, Tang Seng, etc. Many editions were printed during the Jiajing period.

Our current version of "Journey to the West" is based on the Ming Dynasty and Qing version, which is based on the Ming Dynasty Jinling Shidetang Edition, with reference to the Ming Dynasty Li Zhuowu Commentary, Zhu Dingchen, Yang Zhihe, Tang Seng Edition, Yang Min Zhai Edition, Min Zhai Tang Edition, Qing Dynasty Enlightenment Edition, True Interpretation Version (Cuiyun Mountain House Kangxi Inscription, Qianlong 45th Inscription and Huaixinlou Inscription), New Narrative Edition, Original Purpose Edition, and Positive Purpose Edition, as well as the contemporary scholar Mr. Li Hongfu collated the proofreading version, Mr. Li Tianfei proofreading the proofreading, and Mr. Cao Bingjian's research treatise survey and proofreading. It is also known as the full collector's edition of "Journey to the West".

In fact, more than a dozen Ming Dynasty publishing houses have published Journey to the West, including the manuscript of the Zhou Dynasty.

The prince printed the forbidden ~ book? Nonsense.

Only one copy of "Li Zhuowu's Criticism of Journey to the West" was banned, and that was because Li Zhen was involved. I don't need to say more about who Li Zhen is.

"I want to be a pavilion elder" about the description of Journey to the West is being typed, please wait a moment,
