Because it was produced in the factory, it was pushed out of the factory building, pushed onto the runway outside, and began to fly test.

At this stage, we must first see whether the aircraft can fly, and at the same time, see what defects there are in the aerodynamic layout, partially modify the design of the fighter, and repeatedly test the fighter through test flights, so that the design flaws can be exposed and modified one by one, and then test flights will be carried out again.

The process is long and the intervals are long, but the end result is a fighter with excellent aerodynamic performance. Only after all aspects meet the standards, the fighter will rush to the special test flight research unit for finalization test, and this also means that a new type of fighter has entered the engineering development stage from the verification aircraft!

In later generations, due to the strong technical force of the factory, many projects that need to be tested in the test flight institute will also be tested in the factory.

However, the role of the test flight institute cannot be replaced, and all the finalized test flights are completed at the China Test Flight Research Institute in Yanliang, Shaanxi Province, because a large number of elite test pilots in China are concentrated here.

This stage is the riskiest, most time-consuming, and most subject-to-subject flight test phase. At this stage, everything from the basic flight performance of the aircraft to the marginal subjects, from the avionics system to the on-board weapons, is thoroughly tested according to the flight test syllabus.

Many intensity boundary subjects and special state test flights are very risky, such as stalls, spirals, low-altitude dive test flights, etc., which need to be tested here.

After the finalized test flight is completed, it is necessary to conduct a test flight of combat effectiveness before formally equipping the troops. For example, various weapons are delivered in the battlefield environment, target shooting tests, and the actual effectiveness of the weapon system is verified, as well as the proficiency of the combined use of weapons by man and machine.

This stage is often carried out by the troops that are about to be installed, and the flight program has already been prepared, and the troops that are ready to receive it will be trained according to the program subjects, and only after all kinds of subjects have been flown can they be regarded as having completed this kind of test flight, and after passing this hurdle, they will be regarded as forming their initial combat capability.

Now, the finalized test flight of the J-8 has finally ended, and everyone has let out a long breath and finally completed the task assigned by the superiors.

The turbojet-15 test bench of Plant 410 was tested in July 1979, and the performance, speed characteristics, parameter measurements, anti-asthma tests, cruising characteristics tests, acceptance curve tests under different atmospheric conditions, starting, and adjustment tests were carried out on two engines.
