A little bit of confusion

In the middle and late Warring States period, the Fuso people fought wars, and the firearm has become the mainstream long-range weapon.

However, the Fuso lacked everything but sulfur, including lead for bullets and nitrate for gunpowder.

Before the start of the Battle of Wanli Goryeo, the commander of the Second Army, Kato Kiyomasa, specially transported a large amount of silver to Nagasaki and asked for 1 to 20,000 catties of lead from foreign merchant ships in Nagasaki.

During the Goryeo War, Kato also wrote letters urging saltpeter and lead many times, and once even wrote a special letter urging 500 catties of salt. It was basically the same as Fuso in the Toyotomi period, which shows how severe the supply of saltpeter and lead was during the Oda period.

The question is, lead was a very famous export product in the late Ming Dynasty, why is there a shortage of lead as a base metal?

"Hanxing" is a little puzzled is in the hand, please wait a moment,
