Chapter 229: Patronus Spell
"The handout is the knowledge of the Patronus Charm, please read it carefully. Alan said gently.
The Ravenclaws flipped through the handouts in their hands, looking more serious than they had been in Professor Flitwick's Charms class.
The classroom was extremely quiet, and Alan watched with satisfaction.
After most of the young wizards put down the handouts in their hands, Alan drew his wand.
"The Patronus Charm that I'm about to show you is a very advanced form of magic—far beyond the average wizard. ”
Alan just wanted to explain the difficulty of the spell, but the little wizards below looked at each other with blazing eyes and seemed more interested.
Not to be outdone, the clever Ravenclaws looked at Alan intently.
Alan continued, "The Patronus is a positive force, an externalized manifestation of the things that the Dementors live on—hope, joy, the desire to survive—but it doesn't feel despair like a real person, so the Dementors can't help it. ”
"This spell may be too advanced for everyone, and many skilled wizards have not been able to grasp it. So don't be discouraged if you don't succeed in mastering it. Allen added.
"You can think about what makes you happiest. Because to recite this mantra, you have to focus all your thoughts on a particularly pleasant moment for the spell to take effect. ”
The little wizards are racking their brains for a pleasant moment.
This is very easy for Alan, every time he completes a task and gets a reward, his excitement and joy are beyond words.
"The spell is-" Alan cleared his throat, "Calling the Divine Guard!"
"Are you all focused on that pleasant memory?" asked Allen.
"Call God to protect you—"
"No, the guard—"
"Ah, wrong!"
"Calling the gods, calling the gods—"
Suddenly, something sprang out from the tips of some of the young wizards' wands, looking like a cloud of silver-white gas.
The little wizards looked very excited.
"Very well," Alan said with a smile, "So- are you ready to practice on the Dementors?"
"Students who are ready, you can come forward to practice in a while, everyone line up and pay attention to order. ”
Alan noticed Luna clenching her wand tightly and followed a few of her seniors to the middle of the empty classroom.
"She's a little bit self-conscious!"
"I'm not optimistic about her!"
"Isn't that the crazy girl?"
Whispers rang out in the classroom.
Alan looked over and saw that Luna's roommate, Marietta Ekmo, was among them, gloating with a grim face.
Eren looked at her quietly, turned her head, and gave Luna an extremely warm smile.
Alan was the first to stand in front of the cabinet, and with a finger of his wand, the door of the cabinet opened silently, and the white-clothed and black-haired Ga Coconut appeared in front of everyone.
The horrified look and expression made the wizards of the other grades who I met for the first time gasp.
Eren activates Occlumency, and tries to imagine what the Dementors look like.
Boggart was successfully fooled by Alan, and with a "snap!" sound, he turned into a Dementor.
Its hooded face turned toward Allen, a gleaming, scabies hand clutching the cloak.
The lights in the classroom flashed a few times and went out.
The Dementors began to silently approach Eren quickly, with a low, purring gasp.
A chill that penetrated the bone marrow enveloped the young wizards present.
Eren stepped out of the way and cast a bewilderment charm on the dementor-transformed Boggart.
In this way, Boggart will think that the other little wizards are Allen, and the most feared are Dementors.
Maybe Alan did more, because when the Dementors appeared, many young wizards couldn't remember what they had feared the most.
Of course, I can't remember the joy I once had.
Several of the senior Ravenclaws retreated with pale faces, and Penelope hurriedly handed out the chocolates that had been prepared in advance to them.
Finally, it's Luna's turn!
Alan noticed that the girl named Marietta Ekmo was rushing forward with a gloating expression.
I don't know what I saw, Luna's trance expression gradually disappeared, she looked terrified, cold sweat on her forehead, and the hand holding the wand trembled constantly.
Her large, silver-gray eyes were fixed on the Dementors.
"Woo the Gods!" Luna shouted, "Hoo Guards!
The Dementors were rapidly closing in on Luna, who collapsed to the ground, her long unkempt blond hair obscuring her face, making it impossible to see her expression.
Allen, who was closest to Luna, stepped forward and helped her up.
Marietta Ecmo's comical expression with a forced smile froze on her face.
The Dementors got closer and closer to Luna, and just as Eren was about to strike, the tip of Luna's wand changed—a cloud of silver-white gas came out.
Unfortunately, the gas had just left the wand and vanished.
Alan felt that Luna's robe was soaked with cold sweat.
Alan realized that she couldn't practice any longer.
Suddenly, Alan felt a light in his hand, and Penelope grabbed Luna and shoved a large piece of chocolate into Luna's mouth.
Eren blinked, and the Dementor in front of him suddenly turned into Ga-Coconut and quickly pounced on Alan.
Alan reflexively kicked the kick, and Gamma Coconut was kicked to the side.
A scream was heard, startling the young wizards in the classroom.
Everyone looked at where Boggart was, and Ga Coconut pressed against Marietta Ekmo's body, staring at each other "affectionately".
"Ah, sorry, I didn't mean to. Alan hurriedly walked over and pulled up Ga Cocon.
Seeing this, Penelope's eyes flashed.
Luna, who was relieved, also had a smile on her lips.
"Maybe we should end here tonight. This spell is particularly profound...... I shouldn't have let you go through this ...... right now," Alan blamed himself.
"Dementors probably won't give us time to prepare, will they?"
"We only improve if we practice again and again. ”
"Am I the only one who thinks the female ghost that Eren conjured up is more terrifying than that Dementor?"
"And my ......"
The little wizards opened their mouths to comfort Alan.
Alan seemed to remember the Ga Coconut in his hand.
Out of the corner of his eye, he was staring at him with an eerie smile.
Alan hurriedly shook her off and yelled, "Funny funny!"
With another finger of his wand, Ga Coconut seemed to be dragged back to the cabinet by a huge force, and his hands were still grasping in the direction of Allen.
Alan was secretly frightened, and he was not afraid when Ga Coconut turned his back to him.
But that glance just now, that feeling, really made his soul fly out of the sky, and it was hard to say!
