Chapter 65: Assassination
The corners of the ninja's mouth twitched, visibly relieved, and the two paused for a few seconds, continued to climb down, and after three minutes landed safely on the hillside, the ninja looked up and made an OK gesture at us.
"Next group!" I waved my hand, and Hades and the devil stepped forward, and it was a bit adventurous to go down the cliff in the rain, especially at night, but it was also a common thing for us, but the guide was a little frightened.
Standing on the side, looking at the dark scene below, the rain mixed with the night wind blowing on his face, a wave of fear suddenly rose, and he hesitated for a long time and did not dare to go down.
I didn't have time to waste time on him, so I put away a rope and tied it around the guide's waist and tied it in a dead knot, and then I and the Titan King Kong, the three of us, dragged him down from the top of the mountain little by little, and he just had to hold on to the cliff with both hands to prevent him from hitting his head and breaking the blood.
Half an hour later, everyone gathered halfway up the mountain, and we only had to run five kilometers along this ridgeline, and we were not far from the goal.
I looked at the time, and at half past one in the morning, there was still an hour and a half left before the planned time, and if there were no accidents, I could continue with the plan.
After a brief gearing and a quick set-up, we continued our journey, now on a path where the mountains are connected, with bare rocks underfoot, occasional large trees, and downhill on both sides, but the slope is gentler and not dangerous.
We quickened our pace, and all we could hear was the crackling of military boots in the water, and the group was like a ghost in the dark rain curtain of the night.
Forty minutes later, we crossed the ridgeline and came to the foot of the mountain, where we could already see the light in the distance from the hillside, which was our destination.
I took out the map and confirmed the location, as long as I passed through the forest in front of me, not far away was the town of Ladelman, and the visual distance was up to two kilometers.
After running all night, even I felt a little tired, the Titan and King Kong, who were carrying hundreds of kilograms of weight, were even more out of breath, and the demon who had nothing to do was also panting at the moment because of the extra RPG bazooka.
Although I was a little tired, I was still far from the limit, so I untied the kettle around my waist and poured saliva on my head, and the cool feeling flowed into my stomach and relieved the heat of my body.
After a three-minute break, we set off again, the road in the jungle was relatively much easier, due to the wrist injury of the charge, the head wolf and the ninja opened the way in front, the terrain was high here, the road was not waterlogged, we accelerated our speed, ran all the way, and walked out of the jungle in ten minutes.
A short distance away the lights loomed in the darkness, and we took advantage of the heavy rain to quietly reach a hill on the outskirts of Ladelman.
Lying in the muddy water, I took the night vision binoculars to observe the whole town, saying that it was a small town, but in fact it had completely become a rebel station, and many of the houses on the periphery had collapsed, and there were many bomb craters scattered around.
There are two L-shaped streets in the town, both of which lead to the small square in the center, one of which leads to the entrance of the town and is the only way to enter the town, and the other leads to the back of the town, which I can't see from my vantage point.
Since it was late at night and it was raining heavily, it was impossible to determine how many rebels were entrenched here, but they should all be living near the small square, where a dozen pickup trucks were parked, as well as two infantry chariots.
There are also two trucks on the side of the road leading to the outside of town, one covered with canvas and the other with four oil drums, presumably containing fuel for these vehicles.
"This group of rebels is well equipped, look, there are also infantry chariots!" The Grim Reaper pointed to the small square.
"That's Russian!" The Titan touched his chin and stared at the cannon above with his eyes shining.
"Russia's BMP-1 infantry tank, equipped with the Soviet army in 66, participated in the Gulf War, and is equipped with 73mm smoothbore guns and 30mm machine guns, but now they are outdated." As a Russian wildcat, he knows his country's equipment best.
"Captain, there are snipers on the tower on the right side of the small square!" As a sniper, the Ghost is most concerned about finding the enemy's sniper and killing him, which he feels is the most rewarding thing to do.
I looked in the direction he was pointing, and at the top of the tower there was a sniper position stacked with sandbags, and I could vaguely see a soldier sitting inside, but he seemed a little sleepy, and kept slapping his face.
It's not his fault either, three o'clock in the morning, when it's almost dawn, is the most sleepy time for human beings, which is the main reason why I chose this time to attack.
There were not many rebel guards, and there were four guards in the corridor in front of the square, smoking leisurely, and the red cigarette butts could be clearly seen from 300 meters away.
Two soldiers were chatting in the canvas-covered truck, except for a man shaking in a lighted house on the west side of the square, and no sentry was found elsewhere.
After knowing the general situation, I gathered everyone together.
"Guys, are you ready to fight?" I asked with a smile.
Everyone looked at each other, and they all showed a bloodthirsty smile, and the young guide on the side shivered unconsciously when he saw the expressions on everyone's faces.
I glanced around, then put away my smile and said, "The Ghost and Charge stay here to set up a sniper position, cover our movements, and take out the fish that slip through the net." ”
"Elves and Rogues are in charge of the trucks, Ninjas and Phoenix are in charge of the corridors, Death is going to take out the snipers in the towers, Titans and King Kong are going to grab the chariots, Hades and demons are cleaning the barracks to the east, Wildcats and Devils are cleaning up the north, the princess and I are in charge of the west, and the Immortal Bird and the Wolf are in charge of the south, is there a problem?" I looked at everyone and everyone made OK gestures.
"A few of you will support the others immediately after solving the sentry, King Kong and the Titans occupy the passage at the entrance of the town, ensure that the retreat route is clear, remember, fight silently, you are not allowed to shoot unless you are discovered, if it is exposed, open fire in full and finish the enemy as quickly as possible!"
Since I don't know how many rebels are hidden in this stronghold, if we open fire blindly, we may stab the hornet's nest, and in addition, such a large stronghold, so many houses, once the fire is exchanged, the rebels hide and put cold guns, and we can't get in, let alone find someone.
"Do you understand?" I looked around at the crowd.
“yessir!” The brothers replied in a whisper.
"OK, check the gear, act in a minute!" I snapped my fingers.
At three o'clock in the morning on May 6th, the battle began, and fifteen men, unloaded their backpacks, went into battle lightly, and quietly entered the town of Ladelman in the darkness of the night, under the cover of heavy rain.
When we came to the junction, the fifteen men quickly dispersed, and under the cover of the houses, approached the targets for which we were responsible, and the princess and I went round the small square, and came to the back of the barracks on the west side by the path behind the houses, and hid in a dark corner, waiting for the others to take their places.
It was a good location, through the gap between the two houses, you could see the small square, and even the four soldiers chatting in the corridor.
