To take refuge in the Buddha is to be enlightened and not deluded; To convert to the law is to be righteous and not evil; Taking refuge in the Sangha is to be pure and undefiled. The Master who presides over the refuge ceremony is only to give you a witness, not to take refuge in Him. ”

Xiangzi smiled at her gently and said, "There is a wise man who once said: 'If the root of the grass is medicine, its stems, leaves, flowers and fruits are all medicine; If the roots of the grass are poisonous, its stems, leaves, flowers and fruits are poisonous. As the parable, the heart is the source of good and evil, and the source of happiness and suffering.

If the heart is good, then the body, speech, and mind are good; If the heart is evil, then the body, speech and mind will be evil. This principle is both simple and incomprehensible. Therefore, there is 'sin from the heart, confess the heart, and if the heart is empty, sin will also die.' '. ”

Xiuzhi nodded contemplatively and said, "In other words, people's thoughts determine the good, evil, and bitterness of their actions. ”

Shoko looked at her with approval and said, "It is said that there is a couplet in front of the gate of hell, and the upper couplet is: 'If you have a heart to do good, you will be good.'" The following line is: 'Evil is not punished if you do evil without intention.' In other words, the key is to be mindful. Be kind, wholeheartedly for all sentient beings, even if you kill people and set fires, they are all good; Harboring evil intentions, cursing others for oneself, even if burning incense and worshiping the Buddha is evil. ”

If the mind is pure and sees the Buddha, the heart is not dirty, and the Buddha is not gone. With people's hearts being pure, the Buddha has no place to go.

Verdant bamboo, always Dharma body, lush yellow flowers, nothing more than general. That is to say, the Dharma Body is all over the Void Dharma Realm, and every grass and tree is in the sea of Nyora. ’”

When Xiuzhi heard this, she pouted and muttered, "This matter is too difficult for me." My heart, which is messed up all day long, has never been idle. It is only when riding a horse, shooting a gun, and practicing martial arts that the heart can be withdrawn. ”
