But in the past few days, I have a lot of confusion, since the first emperor established the monarchy system, the dynasty has changed more than 20 people, hundreds of emperors, this set of monarchs and nobles can continue to this day, so it seems that there are more important things behind the monarch and the society, and please ask the two masters to point out the maze. β

This tax system was the financial cornerstone of the feudal dynasty, and the agricultural tax accounted for the lion's share. Lai Zongdao heard that the little emperor was going to tilt taxes towards commerce, for fear of shaking the country's foundation, so he sorted out his thoughts and said:
"The saint has great ambitions, and the old minister should be his own liver and brain. In the early years, Chen had seen many large textile manufacturers in his hometown, with no less than 1,000 looms and thousands of employees.
Now that the policy of reopening the mining tax and increasing the commercial tax has been implemented in various localities, preliminary calculations have made it to this year's annual income of the imperial court in this regard by 2 million taels of silver, accounting for 40% of the total annual income. If the Holy Lord wants to continue to develop commerce, or even to trade by sea with the West, the proportion of income will continue to increase.
This is the positive side of developing business, and the Holy One should also see the negative side. As Master Fan just said, the two main bodies of the country are the scholars and the peasants, and the Holy Lord seized the Donglin Academy through the Jingcha fraud case, which has a great influence on the scholars, and if the teacher system is abolished, it is not conducive to the stability of the bureaucracy. If the development of commerce is encouraged, then the peasants will have no intention of farming, resulting in a large-scale movement of population, which is not conducive to social stability. β
Although he came to Zongdao to represent the interests of his own scholars and doctors, he was inevitably a little alarmist, but his concern that the development of commerce would cause too rapid population flow was still very accurate, which is why Zhu Yuanzhang, who had great talents, wanted to implement the household registration system, not only to settle the people in one place, but also to let their sons inherit their father's business.
From ancient times to the present, there are two emperors who want to break this system, namely the new Taizu Wang Mang and the Sui Yang Emperor Yang Guang. They appear in history books as negative textbooks, so most people do not have an in-depth understanding of the background of their time and some of their deeds.
Let's talk about Wang Mang first, there is a "Wang Mang reform" in history, which basically takes all the fields into state ownership, releases slaves and maids as commoners, distributes fields according to capitation, and pays rent and grain directly to the imperial court. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty had already nationalized salt and iron in the early period, and the princes were weakened after the Tui'en order, and the right to mint coins became a unique privilege of the country.
Historians also say that since Wang Mang usurped power, he has been attacked by the Quartet, but the world was still in turmoil for decades after Wang Mang's death, and he did not see those patriots who rose up to surrender to the Liu clan. What's even more ridiculous is that Wang Mang's head has been collected by the royal family after his death, until a fire burned it down during the reign of Emperor Hui of Jin.
As it can be seen, these opponents of Wang Mang are the victims of those interests in the restructuring, and they came out to overthrow Wang Mang in order to protect their own vested interests, and even hid his head privately to warn future generations, which is what those Taoist gentlemen who read the books of the sages did. If Wang Mang had not implemented the new system and continued to safeguard their interests, then the world would be the same whether the surname Liu or the surname Wang would be the same.
Let's talk about Yang Guang, when this old man is mentioned, everyone's impression is almost incest and murder, engineering crusade, arrogance and lasciviousness, and finally the people are bored. In fact, there are more important records than these in the history books, Yang Guang was made the crown prince in the twelfth year of the emperor's reign, and he was the legitimate heir of the Sui Dynasty.
The capital was moved to Luoyang at any cost, in order to weaken the control of the Guanlong group over the imperial court. Book lovers who know the history of the Sui and Tang dynasties know that there is a Guanlong group, how powerful is this huge group? The eldest Yu Wentai is the founder of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Yang Zhong is the father of Emperor Wen of Sui Yang Jian, Li Hu is the grandfather of Tang Gaozu Li Yuan, Dugu Xin is the most powerful old man in human history, his eldest daughter is the queen of Yu Wenyu of the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the fourth daughter is Li Yuan's mother Empress Yuanzhen, and the seventh daughter Dugu Jia Luo is the queen of literature of Emperor Wen of Sui. Both of these emperors were unusual in history, and many book lovers also like to compare them to time-travelers. In fact, they were just the elite of that era, wanting to do things that others did not dare to do, although they failed, but these reforms were continued, such as the imperial examination system became the only criterion for taking scholars from the Tang Dynasty onwards, and the land was nationalized after the founding of New China.
Then the question arises, why does the same top-level wisdom do the same thing, and there will be different results? In fact, it is the system that Fan Jingwen mentioned, which is called Shinong Industry and Commerce in feudal society.
Scholars are the bureaucratic system and the noble group, and they study hard for fame or profit, and students from all over the world flock to them. This class has fixed privileges and parasitic abilities, and dynasties have changed, but many prominent families still flourish.
Agriculture, that is, the group engaged in agricultural labor, needs to bear heavy taxes and forced labor, and working to death is just to support the family, as Zhang Yanghao said, 'Xing, the people suffer; Death, the people suffer'. Although the social status of the peasants was higher than that of artisans and merchants, they actually lived the hardest life.
Workers, that is, craftsmen, the emperor to build palaces, mausoleums need masons, social road and bridge construction also need craftsmen, the development of handicrafts in the later period of the demand for craftsmen increased sharply, there was a shortage of labor, the need to settle a large number of displaced people to supplement the labor force of this class.
Shang is a merchant engaged in commercial activities, who is exploited by the imperial court and squeezed by society, but is bustling under the drive of interests. Commerce itself is the way of heaven to make up for the deficiency of the surplus and the deficiency, but the businessmen are strange and can live in strange goods, blindly chasing profits, and being unkind to the rich.
Shinong industry and commerce is the social order of every feudal dynasty, and those who dare to challenge this order have no good end, although these kings have great talents, but why did they all fail? The reason for this is that the contradiction between the productive forces and the relations of production has not been clarified.
At present, although the germ of capitalism appeared in the Ming Dynasty, the overall social productive forces did not yet have the conditions to break this system. Although Zuo Zhan mastered a certain amount of modern knowledge, if he wanted to lead the Ming Dynasty to the top of the world, he must face up to this system, promote the development of productive forces through local adjustments, and in turn improve the relations of production, otherwise he would repeat the mistakes of Wang Mang and Yang Guang.
