"Taishang Induction"
Taishang said: "There is no way for good and evil, but people call themselves; The retribution of good and evil follows you like a shadow.
It is a god who has a fault in heaven and earth, and according to the severity of people's crimes, it is counted as taking people.
If you calculate the reduction, you will be poor and depleted, and there will be many troubles; Everyone is evil, and the punishment will follow, and the auspicious celebration will be avoided; Death is the end of the count.
There are also three Taipei's fighting gods, on the heads of people, recording people's sins and taking away their records.
There are also three corpse gods, in the human body, every Gengshen day, the decree of the heavens, the sin of people, the day of the moon, the god of the stove is the same.
Mortals have had it, and the big ones will take the discipline, and the small ones will take the calculation. It is too big and small, there are hundreds of things, and those who want to live forever must avoid them first.
If it is the way, it will advance, and if it is not the way, it will retreat. Do not follow the evil path, do not deceive the dark room;
Accumulate virtue and merit, and be compassionate to things; loyalty, filial piety, friendship, and self-righteousness;
Caring for the lonely and widowed, respecting the old and cherishing the young; Insects, plants and trees should not be hurt.
The evil of mercy, the goodness of pleasure; Helping people in urgent need and saving people's dangers.
See what others gain, as you get yourself; See the loss of others, as your own loss.
Don't show off people's shortcomings, don't show off their strengths; Curbing evil and promoting good, pushing more and taking less.
Humiliated, not resentful, flattered. Kindness does not seek retribution, and there is no repentance with others.
The so-called good people are respected by everyone, blessed by heaven, far away from evil, and guarded by gods; The heart is done, and the gods can hope for it.
Those who want to be immortals should establish three hundred virtues. Acting unjustly and betraying the courtesy;
Take evil as power, endure and cruelty; The thief is good, and he secretly insults the king's relatives;
Slow Mr. Qi, betray his business; slander ignorance and slander classmates;
falsely accusing and attacking clan relatives; strong and unkind, ruthless for self-use;
Right and wrong, well-behaved to the north; abuse to take merit, and flatter the will;
I don't feel the favor, and I don't complain; contempt for the people of heaven and disturb the affairs of the country;
reward and righteousness, punishment and innocence; Kill people for money, and take positions from others;
punish and kill, degrade and rank the virtuous; Ling is lonely and widowed, abandons the law and accepts bribes;
Take the straight as the curve, and the curve as the straight; Entering the light is heavy, and seeing the killing is angered;
Do not change when you know what you have done, and do not do what you see; self-sin leads him, and he is clogged;
slandering the sages and violating morality; Shoot away and sting;
Fill the hole and cover the nest, hurt the fetus and break the eggs; May people lose and destroy people's success;
Danger people to their own safety, reduce people to benefit themselves; Evil is easy to good, and private is abolished;
The ability to steal people, the goodness of people; The ugliness of the shape of people, the selfishness of others;
Consume people and goods, and leave people's flesh and bones; Invade what people love, help others;
Willful, humiliating others to win; ruined seedlings and broken marriages;
Rich and delicate, free from shamelessness; admit favor and push, blame and sell evil;
Buying false reputation, covering the risk of danger; File people's strengths, protect their own shortcomings;
taking advantage of coercion and coercion, arson and killing; Cutting for no reason, indecent cooking;
Scatter grains and disturb sentient beings; Break the house of the man, take his treasure;
Breaking water and setting fires to harm people's houses; disorder the scale, in order to defeat the merit;
Artifacts that harm people are used by the poor; When you see him glorious, may he be degraded;
When you see him rich, let him be scattered; Seeing that he is beautiful, he is selfish;
Bear his goods, may he die; If you don't succeed, you will curse and hate;
When they saw that he had lost his stool, they said that he had been;
Laugh at him when he doesn't have a physical appearance, and suppress it when he sees that he can be called;
bury Gu and disgusting people, and kill trees with medicine; angry with the master, against the father and brother;
Forcibly take and demand, invade and rob; plundering to get rich, cunning and seeking relocation;
Rewards and punishments are uneven, and pleasure is excessive; Abuse his subordinates and intimidate him;
complaining about the sky, scolding the wind and rain; fighting and litigate, vainly chasing friends;
using the language of wives and concubines, violating the discipline of parents; Forget the old and be duplicitous;
greedy for money, deceitful of it; Speak evil words and slander people;
Destroy people and call them right, and scold God for righteousness; abandon obedience and reverse, back to proximity;
refers to heaven and earth with contempt, leading the gods and learning from obscenity;
Regret giving, pretending not to pay it back; Extraordinarily demanding, forcefully established;
Excessive lust, poisonous heart; Filthy food feeds people, and the left way confuses the public;
Short ruler narrowness, light scale small liter; to match the truth with the false, and take profit;
Suppress the good for the cheap, and abuse the fool; greedy and insatiable, cursing and seeking righteousness;
drunken disorders, flesh and blood disputes; Men are not faithful, and women are not puplicated;
do not live with his room, do not respect his husband; Every good boast is always jealous;
Nothing to do to his wife, rude to his aunt; despise the spirits of the ancestors and disobey the commands of the gods;
As useless, harboring an external heart; curse him, hating and favoring;
The more wells are burned, the more people jump to eat; Abortion of damaged children, many secluded;
Obscure singing and dancing, Shuodan's anger; spit and drown on the northern slug, chant and cry on the stove;
He also burned incense on the stove, and made filthy wood for food; Naked at night, eight executions;
The saliva meteor refers to the rainbow, refers to the three lights, and looks at the sun and the moon for a long time;
The spring moon is hunting, scolding the north; Killing turtles and snakes for no reason......
The husband's heart starts from goodness, and goodness does not do anything, and the auspicious god has followed;
Or the heart arises from evil, and evil is not done, and the evil god has followed.
He has done evil things, and then he repented, and he did not do all evil, and all good deeds were pursued, and he would be blessed for a long time; The so-called turning misfortune into blessing.
Therefore, Ji people, good words, good regards, good deeds. There are three virtues in one day, and the blessings will come down in three years;
A murderer speaks evilly, sees evil, and does evil. Three evils in one day, three years of disasters will fall from heaven. Reluctantly?
Shoko was completely impressed by the induction chapter and Boao's profound righteousness.
He chewed and tasted it over and over again, as if it were not words written on the wall, but a magical magic mirror.
Shine on yourself, your whole body is transparent, and your body is incomplete.
He was overjoyed, ashamed, and repentant. The expression is focused, and the text is self-checked.
The old Taoist had been standing silently behind him for a long time, but he didn't even realize it.
The old Taoist leader, seeing him scratching his head with doubts on his face, sang leisurely: "Immeasurable Heavenly Venerable! ”
Shoko hurriedly twisted his body and bowed.
The old Taoist elder looked at Xiangzi with a smile and said, "Can you realize the beauty of it?" ”
Shoko smiled excitedly and ashamedly, and said, "That's a good point, it goes straight to the heart."
It's just that there are some places that I don't quite understand yet. This title feels profound. ”
The old Taoist smiled slightly, stroked his silver beard and said: "Taishang is Lao Jun, surnamed Li Ming'er and Boyang, that is, the sage Lao Tzu of the Zhou Dynasty."
After becoming a god, he was called Tianlijiao and the ancestor of Taoism. It is the supreme saint of heaven.
The induction chapter is a sacred text for Taishang to educate the world, change evil and do good.
Feeling is inspiration, and it should be retribution. Tell people that the cause of the inspiration of good and evil will surely be rewarded with good fortune and retribution from heaven.
As the saying goes, there must be a response to the feeling, and there is a response to the feeling.
It is used to highlight the truth of good and bad in heaven, and inspire the awe of the world.
Let people know that if they do good, they will receive the good reward of the blessed longevity and immortals. Therefore, the heart asks for something, and the courage to do it;
Let people understand that if they do evil, they will receive evil retribution of calamity and sickness. Therefore, the heart is afraid, and does not dare to do it.
That's why I took induction as the title of this article. ”
After a pause, the old Taoist chief continued: "There is no way for good and evil, but people call themselves." The retribution of good and evil follows you like a shadow.
The four sentences are the general outline of this article, and they are also the purpose of the Taishang training.
When we talk about the hearts of the sages, we do not pray for good fortune and avoid calamities, and then we stop evil and do good.
When it comes to the principle of creation, as long as it is good, it will surely bless the descendants; And if it is evil, it will surely bring disaster to future generations.
That is what the Book of Changes says: 'The house of goodness must have afterglow; If you don't accumulate goodness, there will be aftermath. 'The truth.
And there's never a single mistake! ”
Then, the old Taoist chief explained it word by word, and finally said: "This induction article is the foundation of Taoist practice.
Just like Confucianism's "Disciple Rules" and Buddhism's "Ten Good Karma Tao Sutras".
"Disciple Rules" starts from one hundred and thirteen things to teach people how to behave and settle down.
The "Ten Good Karma Sutras" are refined from the three aspects of human body, mouth, and mind.
That is: the three karma of the body: not killing, not stealing, not committing adultery;
The four karma of the mouth: no lying, no evil mouth, no gossip, no double tongue;
Three karma: not greedy, not angry, not stupid.
It seems that there are only ten, but it encompasses all kinds of people's actions.
The "Induction Chapter" starts with cause and effect, the "Disciple Rules" starts with rituals, and the "Ten Good Karma Tao Sutras" starts with precepts.
Therefore, if cause and effect are gone, there is no way.
If there is no etiquette, there will be no Confucianism.
In the same way, if the precepts are gone, the Buddha is gone. ”
The old Taoist paused for a moment, looked at Xiangzi kindly for a while, and then said: "Back then, when Shakyamuni Buddha was extinguished, his disciple Ananda asked for advice.
He asked the Buddha, 'When the Buddha was alive, we took you as our teacher; After the Buddha was extinguished, who did the disciples take as their teacher? ’
The Buddha said, 'Take the precepts as the teacher, and the suffering as the teacher.' ’”
Seeing Shoko, he looked at himself with curious and admiring eyes.
The old Taoist elder smiled indifferently and said, "Are you strange that I am a cultivator, why do you know how to talk about Buddhism?" ”
Seeing that Xiangzi nodded in admiration and joy, the old Taoist elder glanced at Xiangzi compassionately and said, "You are a member of Buddhism, so I want to praise the Buddha and increase your confidence in learning."
In fact, many theories of Buddhism and Taoism are the same.
Both Buddhism and Taoism have revealed a very important fact to the world, that is, 'all dharmas are empty, and cause and effect are not empty.' ’
Confucianism teaches people to be polite, rude and shameful;
Taoism pushes cause and effect directly, which is intimidating;
Buddhism, on the other hand, teaches people to regain their own nature, in order to break away from the six realms and transcend life and death forever. ”
As he spoke, he took Shoko's hand and the two sat opposite each other on the futon.
Xiangzi said sincerely and curiously: "May I ask the Taoist, the Buddhist scriptures say that as long as you have the three qualities of faith, wish, and action, and recite the name of Amitabha Buddha wholeheartedly, you will be able to rebirth in the Western Elysium."
Gu Dade also said, 'Ten thousand cultivators will go', is this true? ”
When the old Taoist heard this, he stared at Xiangzi calmly for a long time before he said in a low and slow voice, "Suspicious? ”
Suddenly, Xiangzi's heart was in severe pain as if it was poked by a wooden stick, and she hung her head in shame.
The old Taoist chanted "Immeasurable Heavenly Venerable!" ”
He continued: "The 'faith' mentioned in the Buddhist scriptures means believing that you are a Buddha and that if you study according to the method the Buddha said, you will be able to become a Buddha in your lifetime. That is, to believe in him with confidence.
'Wish' refers to the heart's earnest wish, which is not mixed with any distracting thoughts, but only wishes to die, and does not think about anything else.
'Doing' refers to one's own behavior, which should be the same as the Buddha said.
What the Buddha tells us to do, try to do; And what the Buddha doesn't let us do, we resolutely don't do it.
If this can be done, it will be ten thousand cultivators. ”
The old Taoist paused for a moment, looked at Xiangzi calmly for a while with deep and wise eyes, and then said: "The Buddhist scriptures also say, 'You can't be born in another country without good karma.'" ’
In other words, there are conditions for rebirth in Elysium.
It's not like you can go by chanting the Buddha's name a few times without intention.
If you want to become a Buddha in the future, you must first be a good person in the present.
And the standard of being a good person is the items required in the "Disciple Rules", "Induction Chapter" and "Ten Good Karma Path Sutras".
Otherwise, unless you have special karma. Other than that, there is no other way to become a Buddha.
Today's human nature is far inferior to that of the ancients, and it is difficult to be effective by persuading the good alone.
Therefore, it is particularly important to preach the "Induction Chapter".
Let people know the cause and effect, and dare not act recklessly.
The importance of the "Induction Chapter", as Emperor Wenchang said: "Today, I advise the people of the world to recite the Taishang Induction Chapter once a day, follow the practice, and write a day and night view."
Practice in this way, and after two years of practice, all sins will be eliminated;
After four years of practice, all blessings are gathered; In the past 20 years, children and grandchildren are prime ministers;
Thirty years of practice, indicating the immortal register; In the fifty years of practice, the gods are respectful and rank in the immortal class. ’”
Xiangzi looked at the old Taoist leader respectfully. Every word spoken is deeply rooted in the heart.
I secretly determined: For the sake of my parents, but also for myself, I will be reborn in Elysium.
After being silent for a while, Xiangzi seemed to suddenly remember something, and muttered: "May I ask the old Taoist, the goal of a Buddhist cultivator is to be reborn in the Elysian World, will the cultivator also go to the Elysian World?" ”
The old Taoist elder smiled and said, "The ancestor is the Heavenly Venerable, and after the cultivator is completed, he must go to the heavens to serve the ancestors.
As for whether or not you will die elsewhere in the future, it depends on personal chance.
No matter where you die, you must cultivate the kung fu of controlling your mind.
If you want to be reborn in bliss, you can only die with one thought or ten thoughts. ”
Xiangzi perked up and hurriedly asked, "How can I cultivate that kind of kung fu?" ”
The old Taoist chief stared at Xiangzi for a long time before he said in a slow tone: "I can see through it, I can let it go." ”
After a cool silence, the old Taoist chief continued: "You just need to see through all the ways of doing things, like a dream bubble.
Gradually let go of the miscellaneous things in your heart, and over time, you will only have the thought of Amitabha Buddha in your heart.
Other thoughts are like smoke and dew, born and thought at will, and disappear after the thought is finished, without leaving the slightest trace.
If this is the case, why not worry about not being able to die in bliss. ”
The old Taoist chief's words made Xiangzi feel empowered, and his body and mind felt cool and comfortable.
At the same time, the accumulation that has accumulated in the heart for a long time is also like frost and mist meeting sunlight. For a moment, it disappeared without a trace.
While rejoicing, Xiangzi was secretly opening his heart, ready to absorb the rain and dew from the old Taoist.
