Chapter 77: Badu
After spending the night in a hut on the shore of the prairie, Siberis got up early in the morning and saw the sea approaching the ship again. Before the water could lift the boat, she climbed back into the boat again, and gathered some small objects such as water bladders.
When she realized that there was nothing useful left on the ship, digging up the sprouts from the potatoes and slicing them into thin slices was the only thing she thought she could do here that would help her survive.
Sibeliss looked at the half-bucket of potatoes, and she knew that they would last a few more days. However, there was no jerky or anything else to eat on the ship, except for a few water bladders, and Sibriss felt that Nohibi would have a hard time surviving.
However, Nohibi soon proved to Siberis that she was wrong, and while Siberis was munching on potato chips, she swaggered back from afar with a prairie hare in her mouth.
At noon, Sibelis wandered aimlessly with Nohibi to a grassy knoll. She couldn't help but feel a little intoxicated as she looked at the picturesque prairie, and she sat on the grass and watched the grass under her feet stretch out like a magic carpet to the sky. This was the first time in her life that she had admired this kind of grassland scene, and after the arduous rafting of the previous few days, Xi Baili felt that this vast grassland scene was far more intimate than the endless sea scene. At least, it's stable.
Looking at the horizon in the distance, Si Baili curiously took out the "True Eye" from the cloth bag on her waist. She took the "True Eye" in her hand and looked at it before holding it up again, looking into the distance through its lenses.
Grassy fields, endless grassy fields. Even if Siberis looked into the distance through the "True Eye", there was nothing else as far as the eye could see, it was still this endless grassland.
Just as Xi Baili was feeling bored, she suddenly saw a small silhouette appear in the distance. She steadied her arm and looked at the silhouette, and then she realized that the strange silhouette was none other than a man on a horse coming straight to her.
Seeing the man keep coming this way, Si Baili felt a little nervous at first, she was afraid that he would hurt her. Nearer, Nohibi saw the man coming, and he ran up to him, wagging his tail and roaring at him.
Siburis took a few steps forward with Nohibi, and when she looked at it again, she could clearly see the man's face and clothes.
Just as Sibriss was trying to identify the man more closely, she suddenly saw that the man's crotch mount had fallen abruptly and had flipped over. The overturned horse fell to the grass along with the rider.
Nohibi turned back to Siberis and called out a few times, as if he was waiting for Siberis's instructions.
"Let's see, Noshibi." Sibeliss said and quickly put away her eyes of truth. She walked briskly towards the place where the man had fallen, while Noshibi rushed in front of Sibris, looking for it first.
Along the way, until she came to the place where the horse had turned, Sibeliss never saw the horse or the man again, and either of them rose from the grass.
Before she could find the man lying on the grass, Sibeliss saw the horse first. The horse's eyes were bloodshot, his limbs were stiff, and his mouth was foaming at the mouth, apparently exhausted.
Not far from the horse, Siberys saw the fallen man. She saw that the man lying on the grass was a young man with long black hair, a brown leather jacket, and a ruddy complexion. At this moment, his eyes were closed, and he seemed to pass out.
After calling out to him a few times, Sibriss saw that he did not respond, so she crouched carefully on the grass beside him. She looked at his snort, and examined his surroundings carefully, and Sibriss felt that the man's coma did not seem to be the result of a trauma, but perhaps he was too tired and fell into a deep stupor.
After a few moments, Siberis decided to wake him up, and she reached out and nudged him, greeting and shouting at him in Garland.
It wasn't until Nohibi stepped forward and licked the man that he frowned, and then he slowly opened his eyes tiredly.
The moment he opened his eyes and looked at himself, Siburys felt that he was different from his eyes.
"Who are you?" He raised his head slightly and asked Cyblices.
"Are you okay?" Sibeliss didn't understand his words, and she instinctively asked him in Garland.
"Who are you?" He asked again.
"Are you okay?"
Seeing that the two of them don't understand each other's language. After hesitating for a moment, Si Baili chose to ask him again in Fetun, "Are you okay?" Can you understand me? β
"You're a Phaeton?" He asked Siberis in a slightly jerky Feyton language.
Sibriss saw a hint of hostility flash in her eyes as he spoke to herself. Siberis hurriedly shook her head, "I'm not from Feiton, I'm from Garland. β
"Garland?" He hesitated to ask in Pheton language, "Are you from Garland?" β
Sibeliss nodded, "I'm from Garland, but I speak some Phetton. β
"Oh... Garland people. β
Sibelis nodded.
"How come the Garlandians are here?" He asked Siberis vigilantly.
"I am.... Wandered here. Sibriss thought for a moment and said.
"Are you really a Garlander?"
"I'm really from Garland." Sibeliss emphasized again.
"Whewβ" he breathed a sigh of relief after receiving an affirmative reply from Sibelis, he lay down and leaned his head on the grass, then looked at the sky and said to himself, "Immortal Heaven bless me." β
"My name is Sibelis, what about you?" Seeing that he said something inexplicably, Xi Baisi asked him with concern, "You don't look good, do you need any help?" β
"What? West Baralux? He sat up again and said, "Your name is ugly. β
Si Bai Li was stunned for a moment, and then said, "My name is Xi Bai Lisi, what should you call it?" β
"Badu." He pressed his sore waist and said.
"Badu.." Cybeliss asked him again, "Badu, do you need any help?" β
"Help," Badu said after a moment's thought, "no, I'm just too tired, just rest for a while." β
Looking at Siberis's innocent eyes, Badu hesitated for a moment and then said, "Child, if you have some food at home that you can sell me, that's fine, go get it, and I'll double the amount of silver to your parents later." β
Listening to Badu's words, Sibriss thought that he might think of her as the child of the people who lived in the neighborhood. Siberis shook her head and said, "Badu." I don't have a home and I don't have any parents. If you need food, I can go back to the Pheton ship and get some for you. β
Badu looked up in surprise, and he nervously asked her hurriedly, "What did you say?" The Pheton Ship? Are you a Garland from the Phetton ship? β
Sibelis nodded.
Immediately, Badu sat nervously and stepped back, and he looked around vigilantly.
"It's just me, and it." Sibriss looked at Nohibi on the side, and then turned to the nervous Badu, "It's just the two of us around here, and there is no one else." β
"Only you?" Badu hesitantly withdrew his searching gaze, he looked at Sibris, then at Nohibi beside her, and then he asked with a little surprise, "You and your dog, you two came here by boat from Phyton?" β
Sibelis nodded.
"How is that possible," said Badu, "you must be lying, tell me how many people you have in one boat?" β
"How many people .. I didn't count. Sibriss hesitated and said, "However, they are all dead, and there are really only the two of us left on the whole ship." β
"What? He's dead? Badu asked in surprise, "How did they die?" β
After Siberis explained to Badu in detail about the eruption of Mount Talon and his own encounter at sea, Badu looked at Siberis again with a surprised gaze.
Looking at Xi Bailis, who was dressed in a fat woolen shirt, he asked her suspiciously, "Did you really get here after nine days of wandering at sea?" β
Sibelis nodded.
"Unbelievable, a little child, who has been adrift alone at sea for nine days, has come from Featon to Segou." After Badu looked at Sibris, he turned to the sky and said, "It must be the Immortal Heaven that is blessing you." β
"What's that?" Sibriss also looked up at the sky, but she saw that there was nothing in the sky. Turning back, she whispered to Badu, "Badu, is that the one you are talking about, also a god?" β
Badu didn't answer Siberis's question, he turned to look at Nohibi, and said, "Your dog is good, it's a breed I haven't seen." β
As soon as Badu said this, Si Baili also turned to look at Noshibi, and Noshibi also approached her in recognition of Xi Baisi's look. Sibriss stroked Noshibi and said to Badu, "It's called..."
"Tell me, how old are you?" Badu interrupted Sibris, and he asked her.
Sibriss put her arms around Nohibi's neck and looked at Badu, and after hesitating and thinking for a moment, she replied to Badu, "Probably... Ten years old: Eleven years old. β
"Hmph, you don't even know your age. It seems that you really are a child without parents. β
Siburys nodded silently, and she looked at Noshibi and didn't say anything more.
"A child without parents, I ask you, would you like to sell me your food?" Badu asked again.
"Sold to you?" Sibriss looked up at Badu, then shook her head and said, "I'm not going to sell it to you, and you don't have to pay, but if you're hungry, I'll go and bring the food, and you can eat it." β
Badu frowned, then said, "That's how you want to help me?" You don't even know me. β
Sibriss looked at Badu a little dazedly, and then said, "I only have potatoes for food there, and even if you really want to buy something, I have nothing to sell you." All I can do is bring you some potatoes. β
"Ahh Badu sighed and lay down on the grass.
"You must be hungry, I'll go get you potatoes to eat." Siburys said as she stood up and prepared to walk back.
"Immortal, could it be that this stupid boy is the messenger you sent to help me?" Lying on the grass and looking at the sky, Badu muttered in Segu, "Immortal God, I really don't understand what you think, you didn't send anyone to help me at the Little Kuriltai meeting a few days ago, so that I was not only defeated, but also almost killed, and now, when I don't need any help at all, you have such a strange little stupid boy to help me, what is your intention?" β
Si Bai Lisi turned her head to see Badu lying on the grass and muttered in a language she didn't understand at all, until Badu stopped muttering, and then Xi Bai Li tentatively asked him, "Badu, what's wrong with you?" Did you fall somewhere? β
"Immortal Heaven, do you favor me or abandon me, what do you want me to do?" Badu ignored Sibelis's words, and he muttered again.
Looking at the murmuring Badu, Sibriss was worried that he was either starving or in pain from falling somewhere, so she said, "Hold on, Badu. I'll be back soon. β
Badu raised his arm, ignoring Silberis and going with her. But at the same time as he waved his arm, Xi Bailisi's words made him realize, and he immediately turned over and knelt on the ground, looked up at the sky and said, "Immortal Heaven!" You're asking me to keep going, aren't you? I understand that all this must be your test for me, I accept the test, and I will not give up. β
"Wang, Wang..." Nohibi screamed twice. Siberis didn't say anything, she just looked at Badu silently, she felt that Badu was kneeling on the ground at this moment and telling the sky that it was sacred, and he must be praying for something to his gods.
"Go ahead, get me something to eat." Badu knelt down, looked at Siberis and said, "I'll wait for you here." β
"Well, I'll get it back for you soon." As she spoke, Siberis turned to greet Nohibi, and walked towards the small shed on the shore.
