Liao Hua (?) -264), whose real name is Chun, the character Yuanjian, was a native of Zhonglu County, Xiangyang County, Jingzhou (now Xiangyang City, Hubei Province). A general of Shu Han during the Three Kingdoms. He was the master of Guan Yu, and after Guan Yu was defeated, he was assigned to Sun Wu, and returned to Shu Han with a trick of defrauding death, and Liu Bei was appointed as the Taishou of Yidu County. After Liu Bei's death, he joined the army as prime minister, and later as the governor of Guangwu, moved to Yinping County Taishou, and participated in the Northern Expedition of Shu Han many times. After the fall of Shu Han, he migrated to Luoyang and died of illness on the way. Liao Hua was known for his courage and uprightness, and was an important general in the late Shu Han period.
In the winter of the twenty-fourth year of Jian'an (219), Sun Wu attacked Jingzhou, Guan Yu was defeated and killed, and Liao Hua was also included in Sun Wu. Liao Hua missed Liu Bei, the lord of the Han Dynasty, so he cheated to death, and people believed it to be true at that time, Liao Hua took the opportunity to take his mother to the west day and night, and went to Shu Han.
In the spring of the second year of Zhangwu (222), Liu Bei personally led the generals to the east to conquer Sun Wu and met Liao Hua in Zigui. Liu Bei was very happy to see Liao Hua and appointed Liao Hua as the Taishou of Yidu County. Liu Bei then marched to Yidao County, with Liao Hua as his other governor, and confronted the Wu army led by Lu Xun. But in leap June of the same year, Liu Bei's army was broken by Lu Xun, and Liao Hua retreated to Shuzhong with the defeated army.
In September of the first year of Yanxi (238), Liao Hua led his troops to attack the camp garrisoned by the Wei State Shoushan Qiang Hou Tangfu, and Guo Huai, the assassin of Wei Yongzhou, sent Wang Yun, the Taishou of Guangwei County, and Youyi, the Taishou of Nan'an County, to lead troops to rescue, and the two armies divided their troops along the east and west sides, wanting to flank the Liao Hua army. But at the same time, the weakness of the scattered forces was exposed, and many of the camps of the Youyi army were stationed in non-dangerous places, Liao Hua seized the opportunity to attack and defeat Youyi, and Wang Yun was also killed by arrows in the battle.
In the autumn of the fifth year of Jingyao (262), Jiang Wei led the people to the northern expedition to Cao Wei, and Liao Hua said: "If you do not restrain your soldiers, you will definitely suffer the consequences", which is Boyo (Jiang Weizi). How can you survive if you are outwitted and weaker than the enemy, but you are not satisfied with the use of soldiers? The Book of Songs says, 'I was born neither early nor late, but just in time for this time', which is talking about the present. Sure enough, in October of the same year, Jiang Wei was defeated by Deng Ai in Houhe and retired to garrison in Yuzhong.
In November of the sixth year of Jingyao (263), Zhuge Zhan was defeated by Deng Ai in Mianzhu, and the whereabouts of the later lord Liu Chan were unknown, so Liao Hua and others followed Jiang Wei eastward into Brazil County, and retreated to the area of Guanghan County and Yu County to find out the truth and truth, and soon got the edict of the later lord Liu Chan to surrender, so he and Jiang Wei waited until Fu County to surrender to Zhonghui. In the spring of the fifth year of Jingyuan (264), Liao Hua migrated inward to Luoyang with Zongpre, and died of illness halfway.
There is no general in Shu, and Liao has become a pioneer
It is a metaphor for the lack of good hands in handling affairs, and let people with average ability come out and be responsible. But historically, Liaohua's ability is not mediocre.
In the romance:
There are many differences between the image of Liaohua and history. Liao Hua first appeared in the 27th round, at the beginning of the Yellow Turban Army, because of the chaos of the world, more than 500 people, looting for a living. Guan Yu searched for his brother for thousands of miles, and Liao Hua's companion Du Yuan went down the mountain to patrol the sentry, and mistakenly looted Liu Bei's two wives up the mountain. Du Yuan wanted to share one of his wives with Liao Hua, but Liao Hua wanted to send them back, but Du Yuan refused and was killed by Liao Hua. After that, Liao Hua wanted to follow Guan Yu, but Guan Yu was worried that his yellow scarf background would not follow, so he said goodbye.
When Liu Bei entered Yizhou, Liao Hua led the army to take refuge, and Liu Bei ordered him to help Guan Yu defend Jingzhou. Later, Guan Yu attacked Xiangyang, with Liao Hua as the vanguard, and there were several merits. After Jingzhou was attacked by LĂź Meng, Liao Hua broke through and went to Shangyong and Chengdu for help. Liu Bei raised troops to attack Wu, and Liao Hua followed him. The latter lord succeeded to the throne, Liao Hua became the general of Feiwei, and followed Zhuge Liang on the Northern Expedition as a deputy general. Later, he was a pioneer with Guan Xing, and made many military exploits, and once defeated Sima Yi, won his golden helmet, and recorded it as the first merit. Zhuge Liang died, and Liao Hua served as a pioneer several times, following Jiang Wei's Northern Expedition. Later, he was the general of the right chariot cavalry, guarding Hanzhong.
After the death of the Han Dynasty, Liao Hua followed Jiang Wei to surrender to the Wei general Zhonghui, but he was defeated, and Dong Ju couldn't afford to be ill, and soon died of worry.
