Chapter 3: The Change of Myself
On the second day of October in 1629 (the second year of Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty and the third year of the Later Jin Tiancong), Huang Taiji, who ascended to the third year of the reign of the Later Jin Khan, led the army from Shenyang, detoured through Mongolia, and "broke through the wall and entered the fortress" from Longjing Pass and Da'ankou in the Jizhen Defense Area, breaking through the Great Wall defense line of the Ming Dynasty for the first time. At that time, the frontier fortress of the Ming Dynasty, Jizhen, "fell into decay, and the army was in ruins", and the Houjin army did not encounter any decent resistance.
In the panic, the Ming court urgently ordered soldiers and horses from all over the country to gallop to aid the Beijing division, and Yuan Chonghuan, the governor of Jiliao, led the reinforcements of Zhulu to resist the war ineffectively, and was arrested and imprisoned by Emperor Chongzhen, and his subordinate Zu Dashou fled with 15,000 people of the Guanning army. Huang Taiji took the opportunity to attack Lugou Bridge at night, beheaded about 7,000 people under Shen Fu, the deputy chief of the Ming army, and defeated the 40,000 Ming troops under the command of the Ming general soldier Man Gui outside the Yongding Gate, and the two general soldiers of Man Gui and Sun Zushou were killed. At the beginning of 1630 (the third year of Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty and the fourth year of Jin Tiancong), Huang Taiji waved his army to the east, connected several cities, and divided his troops to garrison Zunhua, Luanzhou (now Luanxian County, Hebei), Yongping (now Lulong, Hebei), Qian'an (now Hebei), and returned to the capital Shenyang with the main force.
The year 1929 is the year of Jisi according to the traditional Chinese Ganzhi chronology, so this event is called the change of Jisi in history. After this incident, the vitality of the Ming Dynasty was greatly damaged, and almost all of the defense systems built around Beijing after two hundred years were severely damaged, and the people suffered greatly. More importantly, after the retreat of the Later Jin army, the Ming Dynasty began civil strife, in addition to the beheading and punishment of responsible officials, the cabinet center was also purged by a large number of dismissals, officialdom was shaken, and the administrative system began to collapse. From the perspective of the historical process, with the occurrence of the change of Jisi, the result of the fall of the Ming Dynasty was already doomed.
Yang Ming still knows a lot about the history of Chongzhen's early years, but he never thought that he would travel into this history, will his arrival bring about changes in history?
The remaining child in the village is called Wang Cheng, and a few days ago, the Jin soldiers came here to plunder, and the old, weak, sick and disabled people in the village who dared to resist were all killed, and Ding Zhuang women, grain, grass, wealth, and even goods and utensils were taken away. In the bitter cold land of Houjin, the productivity was low, and there was a shortage of materials, such as livestock, farm tools, iron pots, clothing quilts, etc., all of which were the targets of the Houjin soldiers. It was a long time after Jin Bing left, and he dared to come out and dig some rice, wheat, bran and beans in the ruins and ruins to barely survive. When Yang Ming entered the village, Wang Cheng was looking for food everywhere, but he couldn't find anything to eat, if Yang Ming came a few days late, the child would probably starve to death.
"My lord, save the little one." Wang Cheng pleaded with Yang Ming.
"Go find some water to wash, and come with me." Yang Ming was a little clean, looking at this child's dirty body, he felt a little uncomfortable.
After searching again and making sure that there were no survivors in the village, Yang Ming took Wang Cheng out of the village, let him sit in the passenger seat of the Humvee, turned the car around and drove away from the village, and the child sitting in the passenger seat shook helplessly as the body shook.
"Fasten your seatbelts." Yang Ming said to the child.
Wang Cheng turned his head sideways and looked at Yang Ming, a pair of big eyes showed surprise and uneasiness, he didn't understand what Yang Ming meant, for a child less than ten years old, all this in the cab was too shocking, Wang grew up so big, he hadn't even sat in a carriage, and today he sat in a modern car all of a sudden, and the surprise and doubt in his heart were unimaginable.
"Sit down, it's fine." Yang Ming reached over sideways to pull the child's seat belt, and Wen Yan comforted him.
The vehicle was driving fast in the field, and suddenly, through the front windshield glass, Yang Ming faintly saw a team of people and horses moving on the official road in the distance.
He stopped the car, pulled the door, stepped onto the hood at the front of the car, and held up his binoculars to observe.
It can be seen from the lens that the team in the distance stretches for more than a mile, and the main body of the team is the ordinary people of the Ming Dynasty who were escorted by the Houjin soldiers, all of them in rags and staggering. In addition to the people, the procession was mixed with all kinds of livestock, and even a camel, dozens of carts and wheelbarrows were loaded with all kinds of looted supplies, pushed and pulled by the common people who used to be forced laborers, and marched along the potholed official roads under the whipping of the Houjin soldiers. On both sides of the procession, the rangers of the Houjin soldiers paraded back and forth to prevent anyone from escaping, and the cavalry on the patrol approached the team from time to time, giving the slower walking civilians a whip.
"Do you hate Tartar?" Back in the cab, Yang Ming asked Wang Cheng with a smile.
Wang Cheng looked at Yang Ming, hesitated, gritted his teeth, nodded and said loudly: "Hate!" The Tartars kidnapped my father and my mother, and killed so many people in the village, and I hated them. ”
"Look, they're coming." Yang Ming pointed to the team in the distance and said.
Wang Cheng stretched out his head and looked in the direction of Yang Ming's finger, and his face suddenly showed extreme fear.
"Don't be afraid," Yang Ming slammed on the accelerator, and the jeep engine roared and rushed out.
"Let's go kill the Tartars."
