Asai Lanxiang is naturally happy. On the one hand, his actions were highly recognized, but on the other hand, it was a step forward in revenge against the important ministers of the Oda clan and the enemy of the Asai clan, Hashiba Hideyoshi! So he went out beaming.

On the morning of the third day, I met this famous daimyo monk, Honganji Xianru, at the base of the Hakata Shokai Shokai!

Speaking of Honganji Temple, there are many interesting places worth introducing. This "high monk" was born in 1543, his young name is Tea, and he is the eldest son of the 10th generation master of Ishiyama Honganji Temple, Honganji Temple, and the 11th generation master of Honganji. Due to the early death of his father, he succeeded him at the age of eleven.

Here is a bit of popular science, in fact, I have never understood before, why can a monk in Dongying marry a wife and have children? He even has other identities - such as Honganji Xianru, another identity is the Sengoku Daimyo, and he was also given the official position of "Quan Monk Masa" by the imperial court, why is this?

In fact, this starts with the history of Buddhism being introduced to Dongying. In the 6th century, Buddhism spread from the Korean Peninsula to Dongying and developed very rapidly. The enthusiasm of the masses to participate in Buddhism in Dongying is so high, not because of the "wisdom root", but because of the encouragement and guidance of the imperial court policy.

At that time, Dongying strongly implemented the "Dahua Reform", that is, to learn from the Tang Dynasty in an all-round way, and implemented a tax system called the "Bantian Collection and Granting Law". This idea is very good, but what is the level of agriculture in the Tang Dynasty, and what is the quality of agriculture in Dongying, after the tax rate of the Tang Dynasty is copied to Dongying, it is unusually high all of a sudden!

And Emperor Suiko, who reveres Buddhism, issued a very interesting imperial decree: within the Dongying area, monks can be exempt from taxes! In this way, the people of Dongying can't wait to all become monks!

In the eighth century AD, foreigners visited Dongying and saw the wonder of "monks and nuns half the world"! With such a large group of monks, it is natural that there are a large number of "monks" who are indiscriminate and have impure motives. They wore monk's robes, drank wine and ate meat in the temple, monks and nuns slept together, and the nuns went home to give birth when they were pregnant with a child, gave birth to a baby, and then came back to continue chanting after breastfeeding, so that they could continue to avoid taxes.

In addition, there is another reason - when Zen Buddhism and Pure Land Buddhism were introduced to Dongying by the Japanese monk Kukai, these sects from the "Middle Earth Upper Kingdom" were "serious Buddhism" in the traditional sense, and they adopted a strict attitude towards the "five precepts" of Buddhism, which are not to kill, not to steal, not to commit adultery, fourth not to lie, and five not to drink.

However, Japan later derived a "Pure Land Shinshu" - its founder was the "Dongying High Monk" Qin Luan during the Kamakura period, that is, the Yuan Dynasty in China.

This Venerable Master Qinluan is a second-generation official who is a serious official, but he likes to engage in these mysterious things. When he was young, he began to participate in Zen and enlightenment, and he kept eating fasting and reciting Buddha until he was twenty-nine years old. It is estimated that he has matured in all aspects, and he has been stimulated by someone or something, and one day, during a meditation session, he claimed that the image of Prince Shotoku, who had suddenly appeared in front of his eyes and incarnated as a Bodhisattva of salvation.

Who is this Prince Shotoku? To put it simply, he was a great monarch in the history of Dongying, who had studied the laws of the Sui Dynasty in depth and formulated the first constitution in the history of Dongying.

And Prince Shotoku, who appeared in front of the Venerable Master and incarnated as a bodhisattva, left four verses for Qinluan: "The walker has set up a female prisoner, and I have become a female prisoner, and I have become a jade female prisoner, and I can guide the life of bliss at the end of my life." ”

Translated, it means, "If a practitioner is with a woman in this life because of karma in a past life, then please treat that woman as my incarnation, spend your life purely*, and before you die, I will come and extradite you to Elysium."

In modern language, it's "Let's get married!" ”

So after hearing these four words of Prince Shotoku, Qin Luan immediately married the daughter of Dongying Taizheng Guan Bai as his wife......

Naturally, such a foolish sect was not tolerated by the orthodox sects, and after the Venerable Master "listened to the words of the Bodhisattva" and married his wife, he was besieged by the Sangha, and he was exiled to the Niigata area, where he was forced to return to the world.

After returning to the world, the Venerable Master married another wife, and he and his two wives gave birth to a total of four boys and three girls...... Based on his ideas, his youngest daughter founded the "Pure Land Shinshu", which was also known as the "Honganji Order" at the time.

Ironically, unlike other Buddhist groups, the Honganji Order is not forbidden to marry because the patriarch of the mountain has passed down the system of "marriage and wife" so that the bloodline of the clan can be continued...... By the time of the eighth generation, Honganji Renru, Toei entered the Warring States period, and the monk Renru took the opportunity to hype up the teachings of the Pure Land Shinshu, forming a potential armed force that was half peasant and half soldier.

After the rise of Oda Nobunaga, due to his opposition to Buddhism, there was an irreconcilable contradiction with the Honganji Order, so the Honganji Order scorned Oda Nobunaga as an "enemy of the Buddha"! He also called on the monks of the whole world to confront the Oda family. As a result, it was not until 1580 that Ishiyama Honganji finally lost to the powerful Oda Nobunaga, and the Honganji Temple was declared to have fallen with the departure of Honganji Manifesto.

Today, when I met the 11th generation master of the "Pure Land Shinshu", Honganji Shinru, although he tried his best to show a calm and detached appearance, I did not see the slightest innocence of the Dharma in his eyes, from his expression between the lines, I saw full of greed and vengeful anger.

So I know, I've got the right person! What I need is not a monk who saves the world, what I need is an avenger with energy!

After the meeting, Honganji Temple greeted me in accordance with the Buddha's rites, and I also returned a folk salute. A long look at each other ensued. This greedy monk was afraid that if he spoke first, he would make this game of interests disadvantaged, so he tried his best to put on an unfathomable appearance.

Watching him pretend to be X, I was secretly amused in my heart. In this way, I will be the owner of a woman who has lost her footing, and I will set up a memorial arch! So I smiled slightly and said, "Master Jiuwen has profound metaphysics and boundless mana, and he is really a high-ranking monk!" Especially advocating 'his own will' and 'the right opportunity for the wicked', he is really in Buddhism and has the world in his heart! ”

This sentence praised him on the face, but in fact it exposed his foundation. As this kind of player who lives by fooling people's hearts, the most disliked and disgusting thing is that his foundation is seen through by others. And the two propositions of "his own power and will" and "the right opportunity for the wicked", which he has always regarded as a faΓ§ade, are ostensibly the Buddhist principles of persuading good, but at this time, I have broken the worldly nature of his heart by one word.

Honganji Xianru obviously didn't expect that the young man in front of him would come up and be a blow to the head, which made his attempt to pretend to be a monk collapse in an instant. So he recited the Buddha's name and said in a deep voice: "Suzuki's benefactor has won the Buddha's teachings, and he is gratifying!" As the benefactor said, the world's own practice cannot achieve the eternal transcendence of Nirvana, and it needs the help of other forces, which are the Amitabha Buddhas! There is no Amitabha Buddha in the south who has sinned deeply. It is also the responsibility of a poor monk! ”

I sneered in my heart, but he explained those two sentences in a high-sounding manner! But on his face, he said very reverently: "Exactly! Just as the mage said, there are people with extremely serious sins in the current world, and they need the mage's guidance, and I hope that the mage will be suffering in the world, and he will not hesitate to act as soon as possible! Those of our generation who are committed to the Dharma must look forward to the day when the Dharma Master will succeed! ”

These few words have actually blocked the back road of Honganji Xianru. Aren't you a universal being? Aren't you a great monk? All right! Right now, there are people who have sinned so much that you need to use the power of the Dharma to transcend them, and this is your own opinion, what's the matter? Why do you have to charge for it?

Honganji Xianru obviously felt that it was a little difficult to accept these words, and after muttering for a while, Fang recited the Buddha's name and said: "It is really the responsibility of my generation to lead the people who have committed serious crimes, but the current sinners are powerful, and they must be dealt with well!" ”

I said in my heart, admit it? Or is it better to retreat and advance? He snorted coldly on his face, pouted and smiled: "I'm still wondering, how can I say that there has been no movement for half a day, and I have been making trouble for a long time, is the mage's mana not enough?" ”

Hearing this, Honganji Xianru stopped pretending, stared at me and whispered: "Whether it is chanting excessively, or one hair and one stroke, without the support of incense money, how can the monks work together!" ”

I laughed in my heart, the fox's tail is finally revealed! After all, it's not about asking for money? But this money can't be mine! So I smiled and said, "Naturally, there is money for incense!" However, it is up to the mages themselves to fight for it! ”

Xianru squinted, stared at the tatami mat and asked, "Where is the incense money?" ”

I teased, "The incense money will be after the fall of the Hashiba clan and the day of the restoration of Honganji!" This sentence gave Xianru a big pie.

Honganji Xianru, who started by fooling people, obviously didn't eat this kind of painted cake, but smiled: "How can the blessings of the future drive today's Buddha's fate?" It's still not enough! ”

I stared at him with a smile and asked, "Then according to the Master's opinion, how much incense money can drive today's Buddha's fate?" ”

Honganji Xianru put on the appearance of a monk again, and said for a while: "If it is enough, it must be 3,000 runs!" ”

I laughed and said, "Too many! The donor is only 1,000 at most! ”

Honganji Xianru smiled and said, "A thousand kan is definitely not enough!" It's better for the donor and the poor monk to take a step back, two thousand times! ”

I looked at him with a slight smile and folded my hands. Honganji Temple immediately understood, and also folded his hands and recited Amitabha!

And just like that, our deal was closed. And those 2,000 kan happened to be two-thirds of the military funds provided by Shibata Katsuya! Everything is under control!
