Shi Shouxin and the others were horrified and hurriedly asked why, and Song Taizu continued: "It's not difficult to know, who doesn't want my emperor's throne?"

Shi Shouxin and the others heard that there was something to say, so they hurriedly kowtowed and said, "Your Majesty, why did you say this, now that the destiny of heaven has been decided, who would dare to have a different heart?"

Song Taizu said: "Otherwise, although you have no dissenting intentions, but your subordinates want to be rich and noble, once the yellow robe is added to you, even if you don't want to be the emperor, you will not be able to help yourself."

These generals knew that they had been suspected and that if they didn't get it right, they would lead to death, and they all cried in horror for a while, begging Song Taizu to show them a "way to live".

Song Taizu said slowly: "Life in the world is as short as a white horse, so Song Taizu thought that he wanted to get rich and noble, but he just wanted to gather more money and have more entertainment, so that future generations would be free from poverty." It is better for you to release your military power, go to the localities, and build more fertile land and beautiful houses, and establish an immovable property for your children and grandchildren. At the same time, I will buy more singing and dancing girls, drink and have fun day and night, so that I will marry you again all year round, and there will be no suspicion between the monarch and the minister, and the upper and lower levels will be at peace, isn't this very good!"

Shi Shouxin and others saw that Song Taizu had made his words very clear, and there was no room for maneuver, at that time, Song Taizu had firmly controlled the central forbidden army, and several generals had no choice but to bow down and obey orders, expressing their gratitude to Taizu for his kindness.

The next day, Shi Shouxin, Gao Huaide, Wang Xianqi, Zhang Lingduo, Zhao Yanhui and others claimed that they were sick and asked to be relieved of military power. The forbidden army is commanded by the front of the palace, the commander of the guards and horses, and the commander of the guards and the infantry, that is, the so-called three ya.

After relieving Shi Shouxin and other generals of military power, Taizu chose some other people with little seniority, low personal prestige, and easy control to serve as generals of the forbidden army. Especially in foreign wars, we must not relax our armaments for a single day. If anyone does not offend me, I will not offend, but if anyone offends me, I will offend. If you should fight, you have to fight, rely on tribute, and sooner or later the country will not be a country.
