At the same time, it is strictly forbidden for the temple to engage in economic activities, not to operate handicraft workshops, nor to operate money lending and commercial activities, they can only cultivate a little land by themselves, self-sufficient, and even do not rent out the temple's house, let alone engage in vegetarian food sales, in short, you just believe in your Buddha and recite your scriptures, don't think about the rest, think about it is a violation of the precepts.

They are not allowed to marry wives, take concubines, gamble, or engage in prostitution, nor enter the neighborhoods, nor enter the market. You are allowed to do some rituals and so on, but you have to report it. Donations are permitted, but the amount is limited.

In short, if you want to borrow the skin of the monk and live a free life, it is absolutely not allowed, and even if the monk breaks the law, the crime will be added to the crime.

Once the law and discipline are violated, they must take back their ordination, deprive them of their monastic status, and force them to return to the laity, return to the lay monks, and no longer be allowed to shave the ordination.

The imperial court believed that in addition to those who really had such beliefs, those who were indiscriminate would definitely show their original form and be screened out.

It is your business to believe, and you can have wooden statues of mud, but it is forbidden to have bronze statues and golden bodies, and it is forbidden to paint them, and even temples are forbidden to be built in cities and villages, even beside them, and they must be far away from the mountains where the people live, and they must not occupy fields, etc.
