Chapter Forty-Six: Painting on Evenyuan Street
Most of the shops dealing in antique calligraphy and painting in Qingzhou City are concentrated in Dooyuan Street and Qinyuan Street. Pen ~ fun ~ pavilion www.biquge.info
In fact, the two streets are next to each other, that is, the north and south ends of the same street.
Most of the shops on Qin Yuen Street deal in jade, porcelain, gold and silverware, bronze and other antiques. Most of the shops on Doyuen Street are engaged in calligraphy and painting, although some shops also sell pen, ink, paper, inkstone and framed calligraphy and paintings.
Zhong Hao and Xu Feng first went to Qinyuan Street for a while, but they didn't find the antiques they liked, so they came to Dooyuan Street again, intending to see if there were any suitable famous calligraphy and paintings.
Yesterday, when Zhong Hao and Xu Feng were chatting in Ye Yihan's Tingxiang Xiaolou, they learned that he was quite good at appreciating antique calligraphy and paintings, so he specially pulled him to help him pick an antique calligraphy and painting as a gift today.
Zhong Hao planned to thank Cui Lao. Cui Lao not only helped himself get out of the cage, but also helped him to enter the Songlin Academy, Zhong Hao felt that he had to thank him, otherwise he really didn't want to go.
Zhong Hao's later generations were relatively proficient in Song culture, and he also studied the antiques, calligraphy and paintings of the Song Dynasty, but his knowledge of things before the Song Dynasty was limited. Cui Lao helped himself a lot, Zhong Hao wanted to find a better antique calligraphy and painting to send him, the age of this dynasty is too recent, except for the handwriting of famous artists, some others can't be used, Zhong Hao thinks it is best to find an old antiquity, so he pulls Xu Feng to help him choose. Of course, with the wealth of the Cui family, Cui Lao may not be able to see the little thing he finds, but it is always his own heart
Zhong Hao's house is not far from Deevenyuan Street. The courtyard he originally rented was separated from the Doll Garden Calligraphy and Painting Street by a street, and Xu Feng came to Zhong Hao's house first this morning, and the two of them came together.
When Xu Feng came to Zhong Hao's house this morning, Feng learned that he was the son of Xu Shanchang's family, and he really gave him a warm reception, and she was very happy that Zhong Hao could have a relationship with Xu Feng. Hearing Xu Feng personally say that Zhong Hao was indeed admitted to Songlin Academy, Feng completely believed Zhong Hao's words, and his heart was also settled. When Xu Feng and Zhong Hao came out, Xu kept telling Xu Feng to come to play often in the future.
Zhong Hao and Xu Feng visited several shops on Dolyuan Street in a row, but they didn't find any suitable famous calligraphy and paintings.
It wasn't until he reached the sixth shop called "Wen Han Zhai" that Xu Feng stopped in front of a painting hanging on the wall of "Wen Han Zhai" and stood there to admire it.
Zhong Hao saw Xu Feng stop in front of the painting, and also stepped forward to watch. I saw an ink landscape painting hanging in front of Xu Feng, the painting was vertical and horizontal, the pen was dense, the mountain peaks in the painting were towering, and the river was turbulent, which was very spectacular.
Zhong Hao went to look at the inscription, inscription and seal of the painting. I saw that there was no inscription on the painting, and the inscription and seal turned out to be Gu Kaizhi's. Zhong Hao naturally knew Gu Kaizhi, who was a famous calligrapher and painter in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. However, whether this painting is really his painting or not, with Zhong Hao's level, it is difficult to judge. Zhong Hao only knew that the paintings of the Eastern Jin Dynasty did not have inscriptions. Inscriptions began to be written on calligraphy and paintings, which became popular in the Tang Dynasty.
Xu Feng looked at it for a while, then shook his head slightly, obviously thinking that the painting was a fake.
An old shopkeeper in the store, when he first saw Zhong Hao and the others tasting paintings there, he didn't come to disturb, just stood and waited. After seeing it, Xu Feng shook his head after looking at the painting, as if he had seen the doorway and did not like this work. The old shopkeeper took out a piece of paper from under the cabinet and said: "The distinguished guest must not like Gu Sanqi's landscape painting, I wonder if the distinguished guest can deliberately Gu Sanqi's calligraphy works?" Distinguished guests, please take a look. As he spoke, he handed the piece of paper to Xu Feng to look at.
Xu Feng took it, just watched it for a moment, then smiled, and then handed it to Zhong Hao, saying, "Wenxuan take a look, what do you think?" β
Zhong Hao looked at it, and it was written on the paper that it was a sonorous and powerful essay, and the author's writing was even more powerful, dense and dense, which was very good. Look at the seal, it is also Gu Kaizhi's. This paper is very well preserved, although it has been yellowed, it is still intact, and it is quite tough, and the characteristics of the famous paper "ε‘paper" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty are quite similar. "Rattan paper", also known as rattan paper, is made of wild rattan rattan bark unique to Yanxi, so the toughness is very good, and it is not brittle although it is long. However, Zhong Hao only heard of his name, and did not see the real thing, so he did not dare to judge.
Zhong Hao said to Xu Feng: "Senior brother, this book seems to be written by Gu Kaizhi, and it seems to be written as a text of the Eastern Jin Dynasty's crusade against the Southern Yan Kingdom. The younger brother is only a shallow learner, and he can't tell the truth from the fake, so he has to invite the teacher! "After a conversation about wine yesterday, Zhong Hao and Xu Feng quickly became close. Zhong Hao is a disciple of Xu Shanchang, and he is commensurate with Xu Feng's senior brother to show his intimacy. Although Xu Feng is quite talented, he is easy-going and funny, which is very much in line with Zhong Hao's appetite.
Before Xu Feng could answer, the old shopkeeper said: "The capital of this Southern Yan Kingdom is our city in Qingzhou, Gu Sanqi once followed the Eastern Jin Dynasty general, later Emperor Wu of the Song Dynasty Liu Yu to the Northern Expedition to the Southern Yan Murong Clan, he wrote this "Sacrificial Tooth Text" inscription, it is estimated that it was in our Qingzhou at that time!" β
Xu Feng said with a smile: "Old shopkeeper, don't fool us." Hehe, since it is a text for sacrificing the flag, it was naturally burned to the sky and the earth before the army, how can there be a real work? β
Xu Feng pointed to the ink landscape painting he had just seen, and said to Zhong Hao: "This painting is made with a dense brush, which is obviously intended to imitate Gu Sanqi's dense body painting method, but the brush is sluggish, too much imitation, and lacks charm." And you see this payment, is the first year of Yixi, at this time Gu Sanqi has reached the twilight of his life, his painting method to achieve the greatest, less youthful publicity, return to the simple, brushwork such as spring silkworm silk, like clumsy victory, Fu with a strong color, slightly embellished, and the spirit is fluttering. This painting imitates his early paintings, which are excessively sharp, but this inscription is written in his later years, and it is undoubtedly a fake. Alas, these two works are not Gu Sanqi's real works! β
Zhong Hao couldn't help but admire and said: "Senior brother is talented, junior brother admires." Zhong Hao appreciated calligraphy and painting, he really had to be fur, and after listening to Xu Feng's comments, he was really a little surprised, but he really admired Xu Feng's insight.
Xu Feng turned his head to the old shopkeeper and said, "Uncle, don't fool us with some fakes, if there is a genuine masterpiece, take it out and let us have a look." If we like it, we buy it. If we don't have a good product, then we'll go somewhere else. β
The old shopkeeper was listening to Xu Feng's tasting, and when he saw that the head was the way, he knew that although the two of them were young, they were connoisseurs, and he couldn't help but put away his contempt.
Fakes are absolutely unflattering, so they have to take out their own town store treasures. The old man took out a roll from a cabinet next to him, took out a scroll of paintings from it, and handed it to the two people: "The distinguished customer is also a person who knows the goods, the so-called goods selling experts, this is the treasure of the store in the town, the son appreciates it, if you like it, you will sell it to the child." β
Xu Feng took the scroll and slowly unfolded it on the long case next to him. Zhong Hao saw on the side that he painted a picture of a pavilion landscape figure. The inscription is the general chapter for three years, and the seal is Yan Liben's. This Yan Liben, Zhong Hao is very impressed, and he is definitely very famous in his time. There is his "Bu Yuan Diagram" in middle school textbooks, as well as the twenty-four heroes on the Lingyan Pavilion in the former Tang Dynasty, which is said to have been painted by him.
Xu Feng carefully tasted the painting in front of it, slowly smiled, and said to Zhong Haodao: "Wenxuan, what do you think of this painting?" β
Zhong Hao looked at it for a while, but he couldn't tell the truth or falsehood, and said with a smile: "The younger brother is only a shallow learner, and he is really not proficient in appreciating calligraphy and painting." This painting looks like Yan Liben's authentic handiwork, and I ask my senior brother for more guidance! β
Xu Feng listened to Zhong Hao's words, and couldn't help but feel a little fluttering, his junior brother is a great talent, and it is a very cool thing to be admired by him. At that moment, Xu Feng tried his best to show off and said: "Senior brother, although I have never seen Yan Liben's genuine paintings, I have read Yan Youxiang's biography and some wild history essays. Yan Youxiang inherited his family education at a young age, and later studied under Zhang Sengqiu, whose painting style was deeply influenced by Zhang Sengqiu, and followed Zhang Sengxiang's sparse style. And Zhang Sengqiu's sparse painting style, Mrs. Wu Ziwei's "Pen Array Diagram", and Yan Youxiang and Zhang Sengqiu's master and apprentice both like to write inscriptions in Zhong Wang style. Wen Xuan, you can see that the inscription of this picture of the tower looking at the river is deeply rooted in the essence of Zhong Wang's style, and it is very similar to the book sticker of Yan Youxiang that I have copied, and I can basically conclude that this painting is Yan Youxiang's real work. Of course, it is a bit biased to draw conclusions from only one point. But you look at the brush of this painting, the brushwork is round, the rhyme is vivid, and the charm of the characters is outlined by chatting a few brushes, and the buildings and rivers are also very bright, and the essence of the sparse body painting method is deep. In addition, this inscription has the charm of Zhong Wang's body, so I conclude that this painting should be genuine. β
"Listening to the words of the senior brother, the younger brother's knowledge has risen greatly!"
The old shopkeeper who was listening to Xu Feng's tasting also nodded frequently.
Xu Feng said to the old shopkeeper: "This painting is good, we want it, let's make a price." β
The old shopkeeper said: "Listen to the distinguished guests, but also the person who knows the painting, this is the treasure of the small shop town, the price is 100 times." If you have any intentions, you can take it. β
Zhong Hao listened to it and said: Yan Liben's paintings are naturally good, and they are all priceless treasures in the future generations, and a hundred times is not a loss, but Zhong Hao still asked very casually: "Can it be cheaper?" β
The old shopkeeper glanced at him and asked, "Do you want this painting?" β
"Ahh
"You buy it, you have to get one hundred and twenty!"
"Why, just now it was a hundred times, you are not falling but rising!"
The old shopkeeper didn't answer, but silently rolled up the scroll and put it into the tube.
Zhong Hao couldn't help but be speechless, this old man has a big temper, don't you just ask for a price, why is he still so angry, is this going to be sold? In fact, Zhong Hao really doesn't know the mentality of the literati, if you meet an expert in this painting, they may sell it to you cheaper, which is called selling goods. But you are a mallet, and if you sell it to you, it will be a pearl covered with dust, and people will not want to sell it to you if you add money.
In other words, this old shopkeeper used to be a literati, and he also saw just now that Zhong Hao's appreciation of calligraphy and painting was only half-understood, and the sale of this painting to him was really a pearl.
Xu Feng hurriedly persuaded the old shopkeeper and said: "Don't be angry, a hundred times is a hundred times, this painting is not for my junior brother, but for a respected elder!" β
The old shopkeeper was in good spirits and agreed to sell Zhong Hao this picture of Yan Liben's tower looking at the river.
A hundred is really not a small amount, and Zhong Hao really can't take out that much money.
Zhong Hao's main income is the dividends of the natural residence, and the dividends in June are the most, but Zhong Hao bought a shop, and the dividends in September have not yet reached the time of settlement. Zhong Hao's dividends in July and August are only sixty or seventy yuan, and it seems that he has to borrow some from his two apprentices.
Zhong Hao is now looking forward to the dividends from the printing and sale of his three books in Yunmen Study, and quickly divide it, alas, the money will be used when it is used.
