Chapter VII: Chang'an Rebellion

Dong Zhuo during the Three Kingdoms period, everyone must know it. He was a famous thief during the Three Kingdoms period.

After Dong Zhuo entered Beijing, he did all kinds of evil. The emperor was replaced, and he was in a state of desolation, robbing property, and committing adultery with women.

Dong Zhuo also set fire to Luoyang City and went to Chang'an.

In the end, he was killed by Wang Yun and Lu Bu.

So what happened after Dong Zhuo's death?

In April 192, Situ Wang Yun and Dong Zhuo's subordinates Lu Bu. Plot together to kill Dong Zhuo.

After Emperor Xian recovered from his illness, he gathered the ministers in the Weiyang Palace, and ordered Li Su, a fellow villager of Lu Bu, to bring more than a dozen people and dress up as guards. disguised as a guard to guard the city gate, after Dong Zhuo came, he was stopped by Li Su and others. Dong Zhuo shouted Lu Bu. Lu Bu said: "I am ordered to kill thieves!" Lu Bu killed Dong Zhuo with his own hands, Dong Zhuo's three clans were wiped out, and the rest of Dong Zhuo's party also died in prison, and the people of Chang'an all applauded.

Dong Zhuo died like this, and a generation of "anti-thief" Dong Zhuo has since fallen in the long sky of history.

So what happened after Dong Zhuo's death?

Since Dong Zhuo's death, because of Yuan Shao's side, the princes from all walks of life have different aspirations. Asunder. They all pulled out the village and left. The once-famous anti-Dong coalition was disbanded in this way, and each went to develop its own forces. Liu, Guan, and Zhang returned to Pingyuan County.

After Dong Zhuo's death, Wang Yun ordered Dong Zhuo's body to be thrown on the street. Let the common people vent their hatred. Cai Yong was grateful for Dong Zhuo's kindness, and cried on his corpse. Wang Yun wanted to kill Cai Yong, but the officials said that Cai Yong was very talented and asked him to continue to write the history of the Han Dynasty. Wang Yun didn't listen and beat Cai Yong to prison and killed him.

After Dong Zhuo's death. Chang'an chaos.

When Dong Zhuo died, Dong Zhuo's son-in-law Niu Fu was not in Chang'an. He ordered his subordinates Li Dao and Guo Yan to plunder Chen Liuyingchuan. Lü Bu wanted Li Su to destroy Niu Fu, but Li Su was defeated and killed by Lü Bu. Later, Ushisuke's subordinates betrayed him, which caused the entire battalion to betray him, so Ushisuke fled with his jewels and cronies. The cronies were motivated by wealth and killed Niu Fu.

Li Su turned out to be Dong Zhuo's advisor, and Dong Zhuo died. Lu Bu thought that it was useless to ask for Li Su. let Li Su destroy Niu Fu, but it didn't happen. He was later killed by Lu Bu.

After Dong Zhuo's death, his subordinates Li Dao, Guo Yan, Zhang Ji, and Fan Chou fled to Liangzhou, Shaanxi, and the four of them also sent people to Chang'an to make a table. asked the emperor for forgiveness, and at this time Situ Wang Yun said angrily: "Dong Zhuo is flying and domineering on weekdays, and he relies on these four people to help him abuse; Now it is a universal amnesty, and these four people cannot be pardoned. ”

Li Dao and others saw that they could not beg for forgiveness. He listened to the plan of the strategist Jia Xu, gathered more than 100,000 horses, and killed Chang'an. There is another way of saying it. Dong Zhuo is a native of Liangzhou, so there are rumors. Lu Bu wants to kill all the Liangzhou people in Chang'an. Niu Fu's subordinates Li Dao and Guo Yan and their troops were all panicked.

At this time, Jia Xu appeared. Jia Xu was also born in Liangzhou. is an authentic Liangzhou person. At that time, Jia Xu also served in the Niu Fu military camp. Li Xun and others wanted to escape back to their hometown. Jia Xujin said: "It is rumored that in Chang'an, the people of Liangzhou will be killed as much as possible, but if you abandon the crowd and go alone, a pavilion chief can catch you." It is better to lead the troops to the west and collect soldiers along the way. Attack Chang'an again. ”

Later, Li Dao adopted Jia Xu's suggestion to go west to recruit troops, and within a few days he had gathered more than 100,000 people, and Li Dao and Fan Chou, a subordinate of the former Dong Zhuo, sent troops to besiege Chang'an.

These two versions of the offense of Chang'an. The reasons are different. But the result is the same. One of them is the version of "Romance" and the other is the version of "Three Kingdoms".

Li Dao led his troops to besiege Chang'an. Ten days later, they attacked and besieged the palace. This is June. Lü Bu was defeated in Chang'an, 60 days after Dong Zhuo's death. With hundreds of cavalry. Escaped from Wuguan.

So how did Wang Yun die?

One theory is that Li Dao, after Guo Yan entered Chang'an. Surround the palace. The ministers panicked and asked Emperor Han Xian to go to Xuanpingmen to stop the rebellion. Li Dao and others wanted to coerce Emperor Xian to hand over Wang Yun before they were willing to withdraw from the army. Because the emperor was reluctant to sacrifice Wang Yun. Hesitant. At this time, Wang Yun took the initiative to ask for help. said to Emperor Xian: "The minister designed to kill Dong Zhuo for the sake of the world's society, and now that things have developed to this point, you don't have to affect the safety of the entire country because of pity for the minister." Let me go and see those two rebels. As soon as Wang Yun finished speaking, he jumped from the gatehouse, and was hacked to death with a knife. A generation of loyal ministers Wang Yun died like this.

From the above two statements. The author himself is more in favor of the first statement. Because the second statement is somewhat fictional. It's unlikely. After Wang Yun's death, Li Dao and Guo Yan did not retreat. Instead, he entered Chang'an City. Connived at the looting of the soldiers. The people of Chang'an suffered numerous casualties. The two of them wanted to avenge Dong Zhuo. exposed Wang Yun's body to the city.

In 194, Ma Teng wanted to kill Li Dao and others. And it didn't work out. Li Dao and others plundered around Chang'an. After that, the contradiction between the two intensified and fell into cannibalism.

Why did Ma Teng kill Li Dao and others? The result?

Xiliang guarded Ma Teng too much, and Han then received a secret edict from the emperor. Raise an army to fight the thief and kill Chang'an. Ma Teng's son, Ma Chao, is only seventeen years old. But heroic. Killed several generals under Li Dao in a row. But in the end, because the soldiers and horses ran out of food and grass, the Xiliang army had to retreat at this time.

Then why did Emperor Xian write a secret edict to Ma Teng and others?

This is because after Li Dao and Guo Yan entered Chang'an City. Do it with the emperor and the official. Emperor Xian had no choice but to agree. Since then, the power of the imperial court has fallen into the hands of Li Dao, Guo Yan and others, and they have been rampant since then, bringing disaster to the country and the people. is better than Dong Zhuo before. Emperor Xian was worried. That's why I wrote a secret edict to Ma Teng and others.

So what happened after that?

In 195, Li Dao and others had their own ghosts, and there was infighting. Li Dao and Guo Yan met each other outside Chang'an City. Fights arose. Li Dao's subordinate Yang Feng rebelled again, and Li Dao's power weakened. Zhang Ji went to persuade. At this time, Emperor Xian successfully escaped from Chang'an City.

At this time, Jia Xu advised Li Wei not to kill the minister. Guo Yan wanted to take the emperor back to Chang'an. Emperor Xian adopted Yang Feng's strategy. As a result, Yang Feng defeated Guo Yan. At this time, Li Dao and Guo Yan continued to chase after the emperor and started a war with Yang Feng. After the victory, he tortured and killed the ministers and hundreds of officials. Plunder the palace maids.

Where did Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty flee to since he escaped from Chang'an? The answer is Luoyang. This may also be the day when Emperor Han Xian missed Luoyang very much. He has a soft spot for Luoyang.

The thoughts of Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty. We don't know.

So what did Emperor Han Xian do when he returned to Luoyang?

Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty had just returned to Luoyang at that time, and he heard that Cao Cao had many soldiers in Shandong. Powerful. So, he issued an edict to Cao Cao and asked him to come to Luoyang to assist Emperor Han Xian.

Cao Cao was recruiting talents in Shandong at that time, and there were constantly Wenchen and Wu who would vote for him in the future. With strategists like Guo Jia, Xun Yu and other fierce generals such as Yu Ban, Xu Huang, and Xu Zhu, Cao Cao's power is getting stronger and stronger.

At this time, Cao Cao received the emperor's edict, so he led an army of 200,000 to defeat Li Dao and Guo Yan and enter Luoyang City, which was originally a prosperous capital. Later, Dong Zhuo set fire to it, and the city wall collapsed. The palace was in ruins, and the streets were overgrown with grass and desolate. Cao Cao didn't want to stay here for long. After discussing with the strategists, he took the emperor and the ministers and moved the capital to Xuchang.

After Dong Zhuo's death, Chang'an was in turmoil. It seems that Dong Zhuo's remnants had not been completely wiped out at that time. Later, Lu Bu defected, Wang Yun committed suicide and other incidents. You can see how chaotic the political situation was at that time. The Eastern Han Dynasty has come to an end.

Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty returned to Luoyang from Chang'an, which was a great opportunity. At that time, among the princes, it seemed that only Cao Cao really cared. Cao Cao seized this rare opportunity. It is the later allusion of Cao Cao's "coercing the Son of Heaven to order the princes".

Li Dao and Guo Yan, two small people under the former Dong Zhuo, made a big mess in Chang'an City. This made the emperor at that time, Emperor Han Xian, feel uncomfortable, so he had the idea of returning to Luoyang. After all, that's where your roots lie. But Luoyang City at that time was also burned by Dong Zhuo. Therefore, after Emperor Han Xian returned to Luoyang, he was helpless. That's why I thought of another Cao Cao.

After Cao Cao entered Luoyang, he opened a new era of his own. "Coercing the Son of Heaven to order the princes" should have been a very unique move at that time. So how did Cao Cao do this? Please follow below.
