Chapter 587: Infiltration

On the afternoon of September 5, with the joy of wittily taking a stake in Nokia, Chen Dao arrived in the town of Sosnovo on the southeastern border of Finland. Pen @ fun @ pavilion wWw. biqUgE怂 ļ½‰ļ½Žļ½†ļ½

The town of Sosnovo was one of the closest towns to the front line after Finland declared war on the Soviet Union.

Less than fifty kilometers along a road south of the town of Sosnovo will lead to the northern outskirts of Leningrad.

On the way to the town of Sosnovo, Chen Dao looked at the endless green on both sides of the road and began to sympathize with the Finnish army.

Forests and shrubs with no end in sight, swamps all over the ground, rivers of all sizes that cross the forest, and lakes of all sizes scattered on the ground like mirrors, are typical of easy-to-defend and difficult-to-attack terrain.

It's no wonder that the Finns don't want to move on, and if it were me, I would have the same idea.

Chen Dao, accompanied by a Finnish major, looked south of the town of Sosnovo for a while, but saw only a large forest.

According to the Finnish major, five kilometers to the south was a small town called Orakov, which was the closest Soviet position to Chen.

"It's really bad terrain, for us and for the Soviets."

Chen Dao did not stay long, but got into a truck, turned around and headed east, until he reached a village called Piacher.

The village of Piacher is filled with soldiers of all stripes.

Finnish servicemen in dark green uniforms, German servicemen in green, yellow, brown camouflage uniforms walk around the village.

In the open space in the southeast corner of the village, four FA-223 Dragon helicopters and two FI-282 Hummingbird helicopters are parked side by side.

Soon after Chen Dao arrived at the village of Piacher, twenty soldiers were soon gathered on the tarmac in the southeast corner of the village.

Chen Dao looked at the soldiers lined up in two rows and listened to the introduction of Colonel Hegel, the head of the Blackwater Special Investigation Group.

"They were the first twenty soldiers to set off in this infiltration, sixteen of our men, four Finns, and they were all snipers."

Pointing to one of the lieutenants in the ranks, Colonel Hegel said, "This is the captain of the commando, Lieutenant Conings. ā€

"Lieutenant Conings looks so young, is he twenty years old this year?" Chen Dao said.

"Lieutenant Conings is twenty-three years old, not very old, but very sophisticated."

Chen Dao walked over and shook hands with the twenty commandos one by one, and then the helicopter crew.

"We have a common enemy, and that is the evil Russians. Go to their rear, harass them, intimidate them, and then kill them, leaving them in fear forever. The people of Germany and Finland are waiting for the good news of your victory, and good luck, gentlemen. ā€

After Chen Dao sent his blessings, Colonel Hegel shouted: "After the review, go and prepare, we will see you tomorrow morning." ā€

Chen Dao stayed overnight in Piacher Village at night.

At five o'clock in the morning the next day, Chen Dao came to the tarmac in the southeast corner of the village.

In a barn next to the tarmac, Chen Dao met the commandos again.

In one night, both German soldiers and four Finnish soldiers were transformed into Soviet soldiers.

In addition to wearing Soviet uniforms, their weapons were replaced by Bobosha 41 submachine guns, SVT-40 semi-automatic rifles and Diggalev light machine guns, and four Finnish snipers were armed with scoped Mosinagan rifles.

Chen Dao walked among the soldiers, looking at this, looking at that.

"Your uniforms are more shabby and rude, so you look more like Russians."

Encouraged by Chen Dao, the commandos spent their last days before departure.

Twenty commandos, got into the cabin of two FA-223 helicopters.

Subsequently, the propellers on the two FA-223 helicopters and the two Hummingbird helicopters began to rotate one after another, and loud noises and flying dust filled the air.

Two Hummingbird helicopters took off first and flew straight southeast of the village of Piacher.

Two FA-223 helicopters followed, and four helicopters disappeared into the hazy light of the early morning.

Five kilometres east of the village of Piacher is Lake Ladoga, four helicopters flew over Lake Ladoga, turned south, and flew for about 10 minutes along the shoreline of the lake, then turned southwest and re-entered the land.

The two FA-223 helicopters flew very slowly, just to ensure that the Hummingbird helicopters flying in front did not get out of view.

It wasn't until one of the Hummingbird helicopters stopped moving and hovered in the air that the two FA-223 helicopters picked up speed and approached the Hummingbird helicopter.

Also hovering in the air, two FA-223 helicopters lowered their altitude, and Lieutenant Cornings looked through the open door of the cabin to see a country dirt road sandwiched between the jungle on the ground.

After flying southwest along the rural dirt road for three kilometers, a T-junction appeared on the dirt road.

"That's it, let's go down." Lieutenant Conings signaled.

Two FA-223 helicopters fell to the dirt road, and the commandos jumped to the ground one by one, with Lieutenant Conings at the end of the line.

"Lieutenant, let me tell you a piece of news, the hummingbird tells us that there is a village in the southwest of here, about four or five kilometers away, and you can find that village by following this road all the way forward."

Conings nodded in thanks to the crew before jumping out of the helicopter.

The helicopter completed its mission, shook and pulled up the altitude, then turned around and flew straight north.

The assault team divided into two groups and walked on the left and right sides of the road.

Lieutenant Konings walked at the back of the line and whispered to a Finnish sniper named Carl Heyer.

"Karl, did you participate in the last war against Russia?"

Karl shook his head.

"I didn't participate, I was still training at the sniper school at that time, and by the time I finished training, the war was over, but my brother participated in that war."

"Oh, so you have all your combat experience accumulated in this war?"

"Yes, I've already killed twenty-four Russians. Compared to my brother, it is still far behind, not even a fraction of his. ā€

Lieutenant Connings asked curiously, "How many Russians did your brother kill?" ā€

A look of pride flashed across Carl Heyer's face.

"He killed five hundred and forty-two Russians."

Karl's German was not standard, and Lieutenant Connings thought he had misheard.

"You say he killed 542 Russians?" Are you sure it's 542? ā€

"I'm sure it's 542." Carl Heyer said.

One of the German soldiers who had walked in front of Karl Heyer turned his head, stared Karl Heyer up and down a few times, and said a word with his eyes.

I don't believe it, you're bragging.

Another Finnish sniper, sensing the meaning of the German soldier's eyes, interjected, "Karl's brother is Simon Heyer, and he's a celebrity sniper here. ā€

"542, that's a staggering number. I wish I could have been on a mission with him and see his marksmanship for myself. "Lieutenant Conings is very yearning.

"Mr. Lieutenant, I'm afraid you won't be able to fulfill this wish, the last time the war was nearing the end of the war, he was shot in the head by an enemy sniper, and that damn Russian used a dummmy bullet."

"Your brother is dead? What a shame. Lieutenant Connings asked.

"No, he came back to life, but half of his face was smashed, so to speak, disfigured." Carl said.

"Thank God, it's a miracle that he survived the dum."

"Lieutenant, the village was found ahead, and we need your orders?"
