Cai Yong: "A person's behavior must be ashamed, and a shameless person cannot be called a scholar." ”

Liu Bei: "So, what kind of behavior is called shameful." ”

Cai Yong: "Filial piety is filial piety, loyalty is loyalty, friendship is faithful, and hometown is lovely." Poverty does not lose righteousness, and it does not deviate from the way. This is the person who knows shame, and he can be called a scholar. ”

Cai Yong: "For example, Yu Rang, in order to avenge Zhibo, he disfigured himself and swallowed charcoal to change his voice. His friend said to him: 'With your talents, if you take refuge in Zhao Xiangzi, you will definitely become a close confidant, and then you will do whatever you want, isn't it easy?' Why bother to mutilate yourself to this? The cost of trying to get revenge in this way is too great! Even if you succeed, I'm afraid it will be difficult to get out. ’

Yu Rang replied: 'If I am committed to Zhao Xiangzi, and then I become someone else's courtier and try to assassinate the monarch, I will have two hearts. I know that the chances of an assassination success are slim to none. But everything I have done is worthy of the spirit of the lord in the sky, and worthy of my own heart, and it is also to shame the courtiers who have two hearts in the world in the future. ’

Such loyal and righteous men will be admired even by enemies. ”

All of these are the stories of such loyal people. However, the concept of loyalty and filial piety has not surpassed the feudal era.

At the same time, Liu Bei also added a lot of private goods to it, adding some modern nation-state concepts to the spirit of Shidao.

This loyalty to the state and the nation will, of course, greatly outweigh the personal loyalty to the monarch. This kind of loyalty to the country and the nation will produce an incomparably firm will to fight, and thus burst out with unimaginable combat effectiveness.

If Liu Bei was able to build a nation-state army in this classical era, even if it was with cold weapons, it would be enough to sweep the world.
