Chapter 611: Famous Paintings
Later generations can easily take out the yellow card to receive a free ticket, and in a famous painting in the first exhibition hall of the Daming History Museum, Zhu Pingjian, the son of Shu, at the turn of the summer and autumn of the fifteenth year of Chongzhen, that is, some of the things he did during the period before he led the protection of ** out of Sichuan to the whole country. m.
The empty and magnificent central hall of the Arduous Entrepreneurship Hall is always crowded with bright lights.
Stepping into the huge bronze doors of the central hall, a huge mural inlaid with natural colored rubble does not hesitate to fill the eye frame of every visitor.
Numerous spotlights on the dome of the hall accurately direct the light to the focal point of the huge mural.
In the light, Zhu Pingjian, the son of Shu who was one and a half times taller than a normal person, rode on a majestic war horse with his front hooves flying and his mouth neighing, his left hand pulled the reins tightly, and his body leaned back, but he still tried his best to look sideways and stretch out his right hand to the people on the ground.
In front of the side of the prince's war horse, an old soldier in tattered robes and white hair was half-kneeling in the dust, his dirty hands raised high, and his tearful eyes looked up, as if he was pleading, and as if he was chanting.
The son of the world on the war horse is merciful and merciful, like a savior in the red and turbid world; The old army in the dust is persistent and longing, just like the pilgrims in the course of suffering.
When the fingertips of the two touched, it was like a god and a mortal, perfectly combined.
The moment the eyes of the two collided, it seemed that ** and spirit were blended together.
At this time, a flying flag of the prince Panlong Shu, a marching army array with messy uniforms, and several generals, ministers and soldiers with rich expressions and exaggerated movements, all of which became the foil and embellishment of the two focal figures.
The concrete image of the picture with a sacred and pathetic charm appears in the upper left and upper right corners.
The symbols of the two mainstream religions of Buddhism and Taoism, Marshal Tianpeng and Guanyin Bodhisattva, loom among the colorful clouds above the cyan city wall. The canopy has three heads and six arms, driving all saints to come together, causing the demons to shatter; Guanyin's thousand hands and thousands of eyes, with great compassion, is now five turbid and evil worlds.
The bronze plaque in front of the painting indicates that the title of this painting is "His Highness and the Old Army". The drawing time is the winter of the fifteenth year of Chongzhen.
The origin of the incident is a famous driving incident that occurred on July 19, the fifteenth year of Chongzhen, when Zhu Pingjian, the son of Shu, was parading the army under the city of Meizhou.
……
Meizhou was recovered, and Zhu Pingjin finally completely pacified Sichuan and became the true king of Shu.
Needless to say, completing the reorganization of the remaining officers and troops in Sichuan is the biggest gain of Zhu Ping's trip to Meizhou. The senior generals of the Sichuan official army have all expressed their support for the reorganization of the army.
Supporting the reorganization of the armed forces is not an empty phrase, and there must be concrete measures and actions. But as long as they obey the command, that's enough. It takes time, education, and more importantly, means to get them to follow their allegiances from the heart.
In addition to these few high-ranking generals, many old officers in the official army were boldly transferred to new posts because they were politically reliable, had seniority, military exploits, and expertise. This kind of eclectic and virtuous method of employing people not only greatly solves the old problem of the absence of first-class officers, but also greatly mobilizes the enthusiasm of the old generals of the officers and soldiers.
For example, Li Yijin, the commander of the fourth battalion of the 15th Regiment and the former capital division, was promoted to the deputy commander of the first regiment of heavy artillery, not only because of Shangguan Yang Zhan's strong recommendation, but also because of his tenacious persistence in the Dam Inspection Department at the top of Bashan.
Liao Zuo, the guard general of Luohui Fort in Jiading Prefecture, was also recommended by the Ministry of Supervision and Military Affairs to be promoted to the commander of the infrastructure battalion of the first regiment of the ** engineering corps because he was good at making a camp and doing things honestly.
However, since the day of his construction, his roots have been deeply rooted among junior officers and ordinary soldiers.
Zhu Pingjin, the perpetrator of the protection of **, is very clear: as long as his belief in him is related to the ordinary soldiers of the protector, it is impossible for a few generals with different ambitions to threaten his rule, and even the emperor who is far away in Beijing cannot shake his position. Therefore, his energy must always be placed in the grassroots, which are not so high. And the military parade is an important way for him to communicate one-to-many with ordinary soldiers.
On July 19, the 17th year of Chongzhen, the participating troops of the Meizhou front, the former people and the meritorious personnel of the uprising gathered at the wharf in the northern suburbs of Meizhou to accept the reading of His Royal Highness the Prince of Shu.
The surviving residents of Meizhou and the gentry and virtuous people of the neighboring counties of Pengshan, Renshou, Qingshen and Hongya were also fortunate to be invited to watch the ceremony.
Before the Great Reading, His Royal Highness the Prince issued a decree to the troops under the review, giving a brief summary of the battle.
Shizi particularly emphasized that the "sincere unity" of all departments of the official army was the key to the victory of the Meizhou Battle. Boundless loyalty to the great cause of "protecting the country, securing the people, and bringing peace to the world" is the basis for all departments of the official army to maintain "sincere unity."
Shizi asked all troops to actively carry out a campaign to complain about grievances and to carry out criticism and self-criticism. Transform thinking, correct behavior, rectify military discipline, and forge an iron military soul.
In order to prepare for the coming brutal war, it is necessary to practice the five major techniques of platoon, shooting, stabbing, blasting, and earthwork, deeply study the tactical characteristics of the thieves, and give full play to the effectiveness of the new weapons.
At the end of the will, the prince specially instructed the eunuchs to copy the names of the officers above the company level of the Meizhou troops participating in the battle, as well as the soldiers and people who made meritorious contributions, one by one on the list of merits in the battle of Meizhou.
This unusual honor made all the troops under review extremely excited. Because this move shows that their names have since been written into history and will remain in the sweat forever!
At four o'clock in the morning, the parade began on time.
In the neat and rhythmic roar of the fifty-four cannons of the first artillery regiment, Zhu Pingjian, the son of Shu, made a grand appearance.
He has a golden helmet and gold armor, and two red and white helmets and flags on his head; Equipped with a war knife at the waist, a horse carrying a firearm, and riding a white horse with four hooves wrapped in gold belts, it appeared in the field of vision of all the troops and spectators with its unique martial and heroic posture.
Accompanied by Ma Gan, Shu Guoping, and Sun Hong, ministers of military aircraft, Liu Zhenfan, commander of the Meizhou front, and Song Zhensi, commander-in-chief of the military parade, and accompanied by the Yangtze River Delta banner of the red background and the colorful seven chapters of gold weaving Panlong Shu characters on the red background, the horses galloped and went straight to the head of the parade troops.
There, stood the blood-stained military flag.
The whole army roared with joy and sang "God Bless Daming" in unison.
The prince stepped forward and greeted the officers and soldiers of each unit in turn. The soldiers shouted "Long live the Ming Dynasty!" "Protect the ** might!" "His Royal Highness Chitose!" and other slogans in response.
Originally, this victory parade would have ended smoothly in such a ** atmosphere. But an unexpected driving incident brought Zhu Pingjin's reputation to the peak.
……
Watching a famous painting on the spot is completely different from the feeling of browsing pictures in a book.
The founders in the painting are like gods descending from heaven, and the best virtues of mankind are condensed into one. Later generations of visitors stood at the bottom of the solemn central hall, standing in front of such a great person, and suddenly felt their own insignificance and obscenity.
Open the free tour booklet, this painting has a whole description and introduction.
The original is a six-foot scroll. There are two painters: Lu Qian (then the son of the copywriter) and Li Sisi (then the priest of the Jesuit Chengdu Church). The giant mural in the central hall is a high imitation of the original magnified several times.
However, visitors do not need to open the brochure to know the name of this painting, and know that it is the treasure of the Ming Historical Museum.
Why does everyone know this painting?
Because this painting appeared in the textbook of Daming Middle School, it was included in the compulsory syllabus.
What is the treasure of the museum?
Because this painting not only clearly witnesses an important historical moment, it has a very typical cultural relics value; Moreover, he took the lead in combining Chinese and Western painting techniques, thus giving birth to the so-called ink and oil painting school that has dominated the world painting scene for more than hundreds of years.
Lu Qian, the founder of the school, once explained the main technical characteristics of the school:
"The western method is the skin, and the Chinese method is the bone".
However, because the main objects of this school are not gods and bodhisattvas, or monarchs and ministers, it has a strong religious or political atmosphere, so critics also call it "color and body taste painting". This inexplicable and meaningful nickname for the painting school is said to have come from His Royal Highness Zhu Pingjin, the prince of Shu, who both reused and suppressed Lu Qian.
The tour brochure also introduced that after Zhu Pingjin, the son of Shu, pacified the Meizhou Rebellion, he finally unified Sichuan. In addition to being delighted, he paraded the army at the wharf outside the north gate of Meizhou.
Unexpectedly, in front of the 11th Regiment of the Protector of the **, an old soldier suddenly rushed out of the queue and knelt in front of the Shizi's war horse. The war horse was frightened and almost threw the prince off the horse.
According to the law of the Ming Dynasty, colliding with the monarch is like rebelling in the battle; According to the law of protecting **, he went out of battle without authorization, and he was also beheaded in front of the army.
However, the prince patiently listened to the old army's defense, but did not punish the old army.
It turned out that the old soldier said to himself: He left home at a young age and went to war in luxury. After that, he cultivated northern Sichuan and guarded the border passes, and it took fifteen or sixteen years in a blink of an eye. At the beginning of the year, he participated in the Northern Sichuan War, but fortunately did not die. Now in his fifties, he has finally been protected**. Since then, he has settled down and started a business, married a wife and had children. This is all the grace of the Son, this is all the reward of Heaven!
The old soldier's long-cherished wish in this life is to ask him to touch the son of the world, let him bring the blessings and aura of the son of the world home, and from then on the family will have a safe life and spread out the branches.
When the prince heard the old army speak, he stretched out his right hand without thinking, and let the old army hold his hands tightly!
The blessings and spiritual qi that the son of the world received from God and his ancestors have since passed on to the hands of the old army through his hands, and then to the families of the old army, the villagers of the old army, the comrades-in-arms of the old army, and all the creatures and things that the old army has come into contact with in the second half of his life!
At the end of the text, the tour brochure specifically states:
In his personal memoir "Memories and Reflections", Lu Qian, one of the painters, recorded the scene at that time in passionate language:
"The army of the time is excited, and the people who cry bitterly do not know how many, and the voice of long live resounded on the shore of the Minjiang River......"
According to other historical records, the actual situation is even more terrifying than Lu Qian's description.
When the officers and men of the whole army saw this scene, they thundered with joy, and tens of thousands of people rushed forward in a hurry to stretch out their hands as best they could
Among them, there are very few lucky people who can be held by the prince himself;
second, he can touch one of the corners of the dragon robe of His Royal Highness the Prince;
Again, they may be able to hug the horse's legs, or they may be able to pat the horse's ass;
The most unfortunate person may only be able to see the honor of the son from afar.
An old and frail man was so pained that he cried because he was being squeezed out of the crowd by others. Mr. Sun, the founding father of the People's Republic of China, who accompanied the review of the prince, unintentionally saw this scene, dismounted and asked, only to realize that this old man was a model of ruining his family.
Mr. Sun Hong was touched by his father-in-law's righteous act. In order to satisfy the wish of the old man to talk to the prince opposite him, Mr. Sun actually brought the old man into the big tent of the prince after the school review.
And the prince faced the greeting of his father-in-law and said the most famous sentence in his life:
It is not as good as the people.
If the people are good, they are really good!
