Chapter 19: Countering Russia with Russia (4)
PS: This chapter is only 2000, and the remaining words will be added tomorrow.
On October 11, 1942, two and a half months ahead of history, Stalin's "Letter to the Commanders and Fighters of the Red Army" was published in Smolensk by the Russian National Council, signed by the chairman of the committee, Lieutenant General A.A. Vlasov, and the secretary of the committee, Major General V.A. Mareshkin (who had served as chief of staff of the 19th Army).
“…… The Bolsheviks were the most vicious enemies of the Russian people...... Never before in the history of our country has such a defeat suffered, and the Red Army is bound to die in this war. Despite the self-sacrifice of the commanders and fighters, and despite the valor and tenacity of the Russian people, the war was doomed to a losing one, because the main culprits for this situation were the rotten social system, the cowardice and incompetence of Stalin and his General Staff...... For more than 20 years, Stalin has been declaring that the main object of the struggle of the state is the capitalists of Britain and the United States, and has repeatedly overthrown the outstanding elements within us with the label of lackeys and accomplices of the Anglo-American imperialists, but in fact he is now in alliance with the British and American capitalists whom he spurned, and has shamefully betrayed the Russian people! ”
The manifesto concludes: "We have chosen to cooperate with the Germans today, not because of the common opposition to the Russian people and their homeland, but, on the contrary, our goal is to unite against the **** of Stalin and the Bolsheviks." The German Government has signed a joint agreement with the Russian National Council, the main contents of which include...... recognition of the sovereignty of the Russian state on the basis of the liberation of oppressed peoples, similar to the three Baltic states, Ukraine and other countries bound by terror and power, will enjoy freedom and independence together with Russia in the future; Within our country...... Economically we will destroy the collective farms. The distribution of land to individual peasants to establish social fairness and the protection of working people from oppression by any exploiters; …… clean up all political grievances, eliminate the effects of the Great Purge, and release all detainees ******; …… We call on the entire Russian people to fight for a new Russia without Bolsheviks and capitalists! In the state of New Russia. Forced labour should be eliminated and the labour rights of all people and genuine freedoms of belief, expression and assembly fully guaranteed......"
"What do comrades think of this declaration and statement?" After the fire, Stalin gradually quieted down and called for an emergency meeting of the High Command, at which he asked the question in a very calm tone, but everyone knew that this was just another manifestation of Comrade Stalin's anger - the calmer and more composed he was, the more astonishing the anger and energy that could burst out.
This was a reflection of the fact that the Germans had fallen into decline in the course of the war. They cannot conquer us by military means alone, but can only resort to other means against us by any means - this declaration and statement are clearly intended to attract the wavering elements within us to defect and to divide us to achieve their impossible goals on the battlefield. Voroshilov stole a glance at Stalin. He originally wanted to go on to investigate the "internal destabilizing factors," but when he found that the other side had not yet made a clear position, he hesitated not to say anything, for fear that his ideas would contradict Stalin.
Molotov, Zhukov, Timoshenko, Budyonny and others were all old comrades who had "been politically tested". What the subtext of Voroshilov's words was, they knew it immediately. Everyone looked at Stalin nervously, waiting for his statement. From the bottom of their hearts, they were resolutely opposed to continuing the "purge" under the present circumstances, but everyone knew that the Great Purge was Comrade Stalin's rebellion, and no one dared to express opposition or resistance on this issue.
"Does anyone still question my words or that order?" Order No. 270 issued by Stalin on August 16, 1941 stated that the Red Army soldiers must hold out to the last man in any case and not be taken prisoner, and the commander was authorized to shoot those who dared to take prisoner in order to avoid death. In his mind, there was no concept of "prisoner of war" at all, only the words "deserter, traitor to the Fatherland and enemy of the people". Although many of the top Bolsheviks were opposed, to no avail, judging by what Vlasov and the Russian National Council are doing at the moment. It seems that Stalin was still right in his thoughts.
Everyone could only be silent about this, especially Zhukov and several other generals who were relatively close to Vlasov, and it was even more inconvenient to say anything.
"What's next for the current group of traitors?"
"At the behest of the fascist bandits, there are defectors in the former union republics who are organizing the so-called 'independence movement', especially in the three Baltic states, Ukraine and Belarus, where the traitors have formed a puppet army unit called the 'Russian Liberation Army', which is currently searching for renegades in prisoner of war camps, and at the same time using political deception to recruit people as soldiers."
"Where are they headquartered? How many are there now? ”
"Based in Rostov-on-Don, the number and equipment are unknown, there may be 8-100,000 people."
"Good." The corners of Stalin's mouth suddenly showed a sneer, "Comrade Konstantin, has the General Staff always been indecisive about the direction of the offensive of the counteroffensive. ”
"Yes." Zhukov replied hesitantly, "Many comrades of the General Staff have always held several different opinions on the direction of the main attack in the plan of the 'Uranus' counteroffensive, and we are currently comprehensively weighing it, and Rostov is one of the targets. ”
"The main attack is directed at Rostov! There is the most vicious enemy of the Fatherland - is that enough? ”
Zhukov sighed slightly and replied in a firm tone: "Yes, Comrade Stalin, we resolutely follow your instructions. ”
"Tell the commander below, whose troops will be the first to break through Rostov or catch this traitor, I will award him the Order of Lenin and the Order of the Red Banner, and give him a promotion of two more ranks." Stalin said in an unquestioning tone, "Our goal is to cleanly, resolutely and completely destroy all surrenderers and renegades." ”
"Yes!" A neat and loud answer sounded below, and everyone understood that Comrade Stalin's opinion must not be disobeyed on this question.
"The date of the attack is next week, and we are going to disrupt the enemy's position with a fierce and unexpected attack." Stalin glanced around with satisfaction, "I look forward to good news from you. (To be continued.) )
