1043. The two-brigade system was changed to a three-regiment system

After completing the necessary foreshadowing and inviting the cattle of the 58th Division away, on June 4, Wang Yaozu was officially promoted to the commander of the 74th Army, and the commander of the 51st Division was replaced by Li Tianxia, the former deputy division commander and acting division commander.

Zhou Zhidao, commander of the 151st Brigade, was promoted to deputy commander and brigade commander of the 51st Division, and the former brigade commander of the 153rd Brigade, another brigade of the 51st Division, was injured by a bullet in Gao Anxiang Fuguan, and is now being treated and recuperated, so he has no position or promotion for the time being.

Qiu Weida, the former acting commander of the 153rd Brigade, is now a regular brigade commander, and in the next series of regularizations, Liu Guangyu, the former acting commander of the 305th Regiment, has also been turned into a regular regiment commander.

Luo Zhicheng (Sangou), the acting battalion commander of the 305th Battalion of the Third Battalion, was finally turned into a regular and became the regular battalion commander, and he was equipped with an adjutant and a deputy battalion commander.

The deputy battalion commander is still served by He Weizhi (Xiucai), and at the same time he is also the company commander of the Seventh Company, and the others have not changed.

It's just that a few probationary officers, after completing the three-month probationary period, all handed over the answer sheet that Sangou was relatively satisfied with, and was promoted to platoon commander.

At present, the 74th Army is receiving more and more attention from the Central Military Commission, and it is constantly transferring new recruits to enrich the various grassroots companies, especially the elite units such as the 305th Regiment and the Third Battalion.

The third battalion originally had three platoons per company, but now it has been expanded to four platoons per company, and the three dogs and the various company commanders have promoted a few midshipmen to platoon commanders of the recruit platoon.

However, the four company commanders are now all sent by Sangou to the officer training class held within the 74th Army to study.

Due to the spirit of Whampoa and the cruelty of the Anti-Japanese War, most of the middle and highest ranks were at a disadvantage, and the casualty rate of grassroots officers was very high.

With a few graduates of the Whampoa Military Academy, it is completely impossible to meet the huge gap in company and platoon commanders in the whole army, and most of the officers who have been promoted on the battlefield are some big soldiers, even illiterate or people with very low education.

These people, not discriminating against them, are indeed very brave in combat, are not afraid of death, are good at fighting, and as veterans, they can definitely play a very good role, but as platoon commanders, especially company commanders, their command and management ability is still very lacking.

There is a specialization in the art industry, and it is not a person who can fight, and his command ability is powerful.

After Wang Yaozu, the former commander of the 51st Division, was promoted to commander, he also knew the importance of grassroots officers, and he used to run a sergeant training class when he was in the 51st Division, but now after becoming the commander of the 74th Army, he opened an officer training class not long after.

Platoon commanders and company commanders of the whole army, as long as they did not graduate from regular military academies, were required to go for training, and some battalion commanders also went, as well as officers of the 51st Division, and even deputy platoon commanders and deputy company commanders.

Therefore, Sangou took advantage of the fact that there was no war recently, and sent the four company commanders of Xiucai, Dogleg, Tienon, and Bamboo Pole to training.

There are also platoon commanders such as Wu Dingli, Xia Chen, Hu Shouqing, Peng Changhua, Yang Chengzu, Chen Yanxin, Lian Fushou, Zhu Dayong, Li Hailong, Radishes, Dashu, Wang Weidong, and Jiang Zhonghan, who also went to the officer training class.

It just so happened that the recruit training and daily affairs of each company were handed over to a few former trainee officers Wang Xinjia, Luo Xian, Tao Wei and a few other people to take care of and train them in practice.

More than a month later, that is, in August of the 28th year of the Republic of China (1939), the 74th Army began to reorganize, and it was finally the turn to abolish the brigade-level units.

As the war continued, the Chinese and Japanese armies, based on the actual combat summaries of the previous stage, both found that the brigade level (the Japanese army was a brigade regiment) played a small role in ordinary infantry divisions.

Combat units at the infantry brigade level do not rely on each other, and do not have the flexibility and independence of the regimental level or the scale of strikes at the division level, but on the contrary, they increase the command procedures and affect the efficiency of the troops' decision-making and operations.

As a result, some of the newly established divisions and regiments of the Japanese army were abolished brigades, and the four-wing system in the division regiment became a three-wing system.

The establishment of the squadron originally referred to the German-Japanese model, and besides, in the face of changes in the Japanese army, corresponding changes must also be made.

In the reorganized 74th Army, each division consisted of three formed regiments and one field supplementary regiment (generally referred to as the "field supplementary regiment"), and the regiment number was changed immediately.

After the 51st Division abolished the 151st Brigade and the 153rd Brigade, the 301st Regiment was changed to the 151st Regiment, the 305th Regiment was the 15th Regiment, the 306th Regiment was the 153rd Regiment, and the 30th Regiment was the Field Supplement Regiment.

The two brigade headquarters were withdrawn, and Zhou Zhidao, the former commander of the 151st Brigade, was appointed full-time as the deputy commander of the 51st Division, but the position of deputy division commander was limited after all, and generally only one was set up, and each division had two brigade commanders, so it was impossible for all of them to become deputy division commanders.

The Military Commission also took this layer into account, so it allowed divisions in need to set up infantry commanders as vacancies, and stipulated that brigade commanders with less seniority could be transferred to the position of infantry commanders of divisions.

The concept of a divisional infantry commander was also learned from Japan's organizational reform, which was called an infantry regiment commander in the Japanese army. However, the infantry regiment commander of the Japanese army had real power and could command the three infantry wings of the division in a unified manner.

China's infantry commanders do not have so much real power, almost like the high staff, most of them have no power, and they are mainly used to settle people.

Of course, this also has the advantage of retaining talents, and once there is a real vacancy, it can be immediately replaced. For example, Zhang Lingwu, the former commander of the 153rd Brigade, who is still recuperating in other places, was transferred to the infantry commander of the 51st Division.

Qiu Weida, the former acting commander of the 153rd Brigade, is now also transferred to the infantry commander of the 51st Division.

However, it didn't take long for Qiu Weida to be admitted to the sixth phase of the three-year Army University, and Commander Wang transferred him to the deputy commander of the 57th Division before he went to school, so that he could take the salary of the deputy division commander and study in the Army University without distractions.

In fact, this is also a layout of the army commander Wang Yaozu, now he is the commander of the 74th Army, and if he wants to control this army, he must control the two divisions of the 57th and 58th divisions.

But it was obvious from the beginning, it would arouse the disgust of these two divisions, and Qiu Weida was transferred to the 57th Division as the deputy division commander, but the person did not go, whether he went to study, and whether he would go to the 57th Division when he came back after graduation is still a word.

So this matter is not obvious, and the 57th Division is not easy to refuse, after all, the family did not come, but only received a vacant position, and besides, it was proposed by the army commander himself, and Qiu Weida is the army commander's descendant.

Not long after the 57th Division came to the 74th Army, it was naturally unwilling to offend the commander and the other two divisions, and in the end it had to obey the military headquarters, and even accept the fate of being reorganized and controlled.

It's better to be a favor from the beginning, in order to get more chips in the future, three years later, after Qiu Weida graduates from Lu University, he may not necessarily come to the 57th Division to be a deputy division commander, even if he comes, it will be three years later.

Three years, if you are in the army in peacetime, there is no change in the three years, but the seniority is raised and lowered step by step.

But in the war years, three years was almost a sudden change, in this war of resistance, division commanders and commanders died everywhere, not long ago the 9th Army commander Chen died in the suburbs of Nanchang, and the commander of the 79th Division under his command was shot by military law.

Therefore, three years later, it is estimated that the top management of the 57th Division will have long been unrecognizable, and sacrifices, mistakes, promotions, demotions, transfers, etc., may happen, and when the time comes, who will care about such a thing.
