Chapter 3: Singing

The rough waves of the North Sea crashed against the dark stone walls of Azkaban.

The sky was overcast, just like the creatures that inhabited it.

Dementors, terrifying creatures of darkness float like ghosts above the Azkar Wizard Prison, ready to give their inmates a kiss affectionately.

Today, Azkaban welcomed two visitors.

Dumbledore and Grindelwald stood at the door of Azkaban's most heavily fortified prison, looking through the small window in the large black iron door.

A lifeless, corpse-like figure floated out of thin air in the small space behind the black door.

The figure floated entirely in the air, in contact only with air, and beyond that, no physical object touched his body.

After a few glances at the figure, Dumbledore said inexplicably to Grindelwald beside him.

"Gellert, I don't like them either, but you're going to get us in a lot of trouble by doing so. Actually, you just have to expel them. ”

At the feet of the two of them, a strange piece of black cloth was lying quietly.

For some reason, these pieces of cloth resembled the black cloth on the Dementors guarding the prison outside.

Beside him, Grindelwald glanced at Dumbledore fiercely, "No matter how much trouble I get into as much trouble as you do, Albus!"

"If anything happens to that kid, I promise you, don't think about Hogwarts anymore. ”

As soon as the words fell, the corpse-like existence floating in the air in the black door suddenly opened its eyes, and its crimson eyes emitted a bloodthirsty light.

I don't know if it's because of the angle, Voldemort only has one eye facing the door.

But the strange thing is that from the eye he saw, the position of Voldemort's face felt a little strange no matter how you looked at it.

"You're awake, Tom. ”

As if an old friend had met, Dumbledore greeted him in a friendly manner.

His face remained unchanged, and Dumbledore said again.

"Tom, it looks like you're almost melting into Quirinus's body, and it won't be long before you can escape from Azkaban. ”

When he said this, it was as if Dumbledore was talking about the weather.

"Stop talking nonsense, Albus, get down to business!" said Grindelwald impatiently.

"Yes, down to business. Dumbledore nodded hurriedly, as if he didn't dare to disobey Grindelwald.

He looked at Voldemort's body floating in mid-air, and there was a hint of pleading in his voice, "Tom, we're here to ask you for a favor. ”

Voldemort didn't turn his head, maybe he didn't want to, maybe he couldn't, but he rolled his eyes and put his crimson gaze on Dumbledore.

"What's wrong with that boy?"

With a sigh, Dumbledore looked ashamed.

"I lost him. ”

Hearing this, Voldemort, who had nowhere to borrow his strength, turned over violently and faced Dumbledore.

There was a monstrous anger in the crimson eyes, and the already hideous face became more and more distorted and terrifying.

Opening his mouth, Voldemort's hoarse voice could be heard throughout Azkaban.

"Dumbledore, are you demented?"

As he spoke, the surging magic exploded, as if the entire Azkaban was shaking.

......

Just now, the moment Carl cast the stun spell, he knew that he couldn't use magic in the world as much as he used to.

His magic was still there, and his abilities hadn't diminished in the slightest.

But just now, he was keenly aware of several huge wills.

It's a strange feeling, not what it is, but it just feels like you're being watched from afar.

It wasn't aimed at him, but it was as if there were several pairs of eyes hanging high in the sky, looking down on mortal beings.

At the same time as he used the stun spell, the magic in his body began to warn him constantly, and he had a hunch that if he used magic again, it would inevitably lead to very bad consequences.

From just now to now, he has maintained the same posture as before, looking up at the sky.

Another group of Royal Navy soldiers had surrounded him, but no one dared to step forward - the soldiers who had fallen around the boy had set a good example for them.

No one dared to shoot, and like the guards before them, they couldn't figure out Karl's identity.

Karl didn't seem to see all this, and just stood on the dock and looked at the sky.

He's radiating his consciousness toward the sky—as if he was born knowing what to do, and he's trying to communicate with those wills.

The wills had apparently discovered his presence, but they hadn't attacked him, and they didn't think they would be angry at him for his petty request to chat.

After a long time, if it weren't for the fallen Royal Navy soldiers, everyone around him would almost have thought he was a fool.

After another long time, Carl finally stopped looking up.

No reply, no answer, nothing.

Those high-minded wills seemed to be indifferent to everything, and did not pay any attention to him at all.

Sighing, Carl couldn't help but shake his head.

He still couldn't use magic, a warning from his body's instincts.

But fortunately, this world is not like the previous one, although supernatural forces exist, they are extremely hidden, usually in the form of legends or occults, which are almost impossible for ordinary people to detect, so he only needs to worry about physical damage and danger.

While thinking about it, there was a sudden exclamation from the other end of the port.

"Elizabeth!"

Carl and the others searched for prestige, but saw a huge splash in the sea near the cliff not far away.

Looking up along the cliff, he could clearly see by his eyesight that on the edge of the towering cliff, on the wall of the well-repaired shore fortification, a man in an old-fashioned admiral's uniform was looking down anxiously.

Without hesitation, the man was about to undress and jump down, but was held tightly by the man who rushed up behind him.

There was a faint conversation between the two in the sea breeze, "Reef, sir! it's a miracle that she didn't hit the reef!"

And as he said, the sea below the cliff is full of reefs.

Immediately afterward, more than one Karl noticed that in the middle of the sea, a strange ripple suddenly spread into the distance.

However, Carl perceives far more than others.

In his perception, a huge wave of magic erupted from the area where the person in the water was, and with that ripple, it spread into the distance.

And that's not all, in the dark, he seemed to hear a voice.

It's like someone singing in his ear.

"Sky Walker, Visitor from an Exotic Land, His Magic, Mortal Taboo, Three Times a Day, Don't Exceed, Take the Beacon and Return Quickly!"

In an instant, a great joy filled his chest.

Carl couldn't even wait to laugh out loud.

It seems that his way back has been settled.
