Chapter XXXVII. The Armenian Revolt

A wave of unsettled waves!

Just as Bulgaria was preparing for war, the Ottoman Empire made big news again - the Armenians were reversed!

Of course, the Armenians rebelled, and it was not a matter of a day or two, but this time it was different, they revolted successfully!

This is Ferdinand's pot, in order to cause trouble for the Ottoman Empire, he also set up a special operations command a year ago.

The rising star of the intelligence service, Morka Valdo, was responsible for leading the intelligence efforts of the Ottoman Empire. There is only one task, which is to cause trouble for the Sudanese government!

Whether it is to provoke government infighting, or to support the revolutionary party, or to create ethnic conflicts, or religious contradictions, you can do it! Even if it's spreading rumors, it's okay to make something out of nothing.

Unexpectedly, Moorka Valdo, who had just taken office, lived up to Ferdinand's expectations and made a big news.

Beginning in 1893, in order to alleviate the economic crisis in the country, the Sudanese government intensified the oppression of ethnic minorities. The national contradictions intensified, and among them, the Armenians danced the most happily and began to fight for independence.

In 1894, a bloody massacre was carried out in order to suppress the Armenian independence movement. However, this plane, due to Ferdinand's intervention, has become different.

A steady stream of Bulgarian munitions was delivered to the Armenians. In the face of the brutal repression of the Sudanese government, the Armenians took up arms and rose up to resist, a premeditated massacre, which turned into a civil war!

Of course, civilians can't do it with the regular army, and even if the Armenians resist, it will only be in exchange for increased repression by the Sudanese government.

Historically, it was not until June 1896 that the Armenians staged a large-scale uprising in Constantinople. This time and space was advanced to February 1896, and the scale was much larger, and the revolt was supported by Greeks, Jews, and other minorities!

Back in time, on January 24, 1896, the Armenian Dilange owed a loan shark to the Turkish nobleman Gozd, which he was unable to repay.

But Master Gozd, who is not easy to provoke, took people to collect debts in anger and wanted to take away Dilange's daughter to pay off the debt, and the two sides clashed.

Gozd's men beat Dilange to death, took his daughter with him, and set a fire to their house before leaving.

The problem lies in this fire, as Digrand lives in a slum that is a gathering place for Armenians. It is said that the house is actually a shack, and there are firewood stacked with firewood, which is very easy to burn.

If it's normal times, the surrounding residents will come to put out the fire, which can be extinguished quickly, and at most it will burn a few unlucky people nearby.

But this time there was an exception, and Viktorkis-Georgiev, a Bulgarian intelligence agent who had managed to infiltrate the Armenian rebellion, was on the scene.

He knew that the actions of the Turkish nobleman Gozd had angered the Armenians, but after a long period of oppression, these ordinary people had become as numb as walking corpses, and did not dare to rise up and resist.

So he made a quick decision, seized the opportunity, and shot Gozde, who was about to leave, in the chest, and then quickly left. The matter is in a big trouble, the aristocratic lord is shot, of course the ordinary people will run away immediately, who can care about fighting fires!

Once implicated, the Ottoman government will lose its head no matter how much it has! Not to mention Gozd's men, who has the energy to put out fires?

Then, the fire grew bigger and bigger, and quickly spread in all directions. These days, there is no such thing as a professional fire brigade. By the time the government arrived, the fire had already spread.

Fortunately, most of the buildings in Constantinople were made of stone, and after the slums were burned down, they stopped. If you stay in Japan, where wooden buildings are dominant, you won't be able to finish a city!

Even so, the fire left dozens dead, hundreds injured and tens of thousands homeless! In addition to Armenians, there are also some Greeks, Bulgarians, Jews and other minorities.

Viktorkis-Georgiev, who had already infiltrated the Armenian rivalry, immediately reported the atrocities of the Turks to the rebels, and upon receiving the news, the angry Armenian revolutionaries immediately organized a demonstration!

Demand that the Sudanese government punish the murderers and compensate the people for their losses! It is clear that the reasonable demands of the Armenians were not heeded, but were suppressed by the military and police.

Under the pressure of survival, these tens of thousands of people were united by Victor Kis in the name of the rebel group, and Morka, who got the news, immediately made a decision to support him.

Two thousand rifles, more than 100,000 rounds of ammunition, were delivered to the Armenian resistance, and at the instigation of Viktorkis, everyone unanimously decided to revolt!

Of course, it is not possible to rebel, the belongings of these tens of thousands of refugees have been destroyed by the fire, and what to eat for the next meal is a problem!

A vigorous uprising broke out, and because Victorkith performed well, the key was to get weapons, so it was logical to become one of the leaders of the rebel army!

Compared with others, Viktorkis is also professionally trained, and has also participated in the Serbian uprising, so he has a lot of experience in rebellion.

With his rich experience, he led people to take the lead in conquering the police station, robbing the arsenal, and quickly expanding the army, whether it was Armenians, Greeks, Bulgarians, or Jews, they all refused to come, and all of them were absorbed.

Then, with a snowballing pair, he continued to ravage Constantinople, and after capturing the Ottoman Bank building, he moved out of the vault and blew up the building.

Anyway, his task is only to sabotage, and as for the historical occupation of the bank building by the Armenians and the negotiations with the Ottoman Empire, naturally there is no existence.

How is Constantinople also one of the capitals of the Ottoman Empire, there are still a lot of garrisons, and Victorkis knows very well that with this rabble of rebel army, he can't defeat the regular army!

It was already eight days after the rebels captured the government building, and the Ottoman Empire reacted even if it was sluggish.

After burning the materials, Victorkis decisively handed over the building to the provisional government established by the rebels, and under the pretext of arranging street fighting, he was essentially ready to run away.

As for the composition of the army, I'm sorry these are not the issues that Victorkis considerate, in order to expand the revolutionary rivalry, these are all subsections, as long as you hand in the vote, everyone is your own people!

So the Turks in Constantinople came to a great pulp, and there was no doubt that the "voter" was of course the best for the head of the Turkish nobles, and his move was quickly imitated by the rebels!

There is revenge, there is revenge, there is resentment and complaining!

The whole of Constantinople was in disarray, the Armenian Provisional Government was powerless to control the situation, and rape and plunder were taking place in the city!
