Section 69: Guild Organization

In the Middle Ages, guilds were established in all walks of life, initially just people with the same skills gathered together, and they exchanged skills with each other to constantly improve and hone the skills of the trade, but gradually they became an organization that passed on from master to apprentice.

Politically, the aristocracy and the church were on high ground, but the president of a mason's guild once famously said, "Without the help of the unions, the right of the nobles to rule is nothing more than giants with feet of clay." Although some aristocrats scoffed at this, they had to admit that without the help of the unions, their quality of life would have deteriorated.

"Swordsman Guild?" Bruce's heart moved when he heard this, he didn't expect that a guild would be able to fight against the knights of the Black King, and the encounter between Randall and the knights of Count Ivan had already made Bruce see the knights' strong combat effectiveness.

"The Randolph Swordsmen's Guild, the Stonemasons' Guild, the Hermitage Society, and the Old Man of the Mountain are known as the four mysterious organizations of the Dias Continent, and it's not surprising that the Randolph Swordsmen's Guild can resist the Imperial Knights." Elder Warren said disapprerovingly.

"Then will the church and the nobility just let them do as they please?" Bruce asked curiously, the elder Warren seemed to know many things.

"The whereabouts of these four organizations are difficult to find except for the Masons' Guild, and many people don't even know where their headquarters are, and even if they are dissatisfied, the king, the duke, and the church are busy hostile to each other, not to mention that the general public does not know about it." Elder Warren's eyes shone with wisdom, and bottomless blue eyes stared at Bruce.

Edward held the stick in his hand, and the familiar feeling returned to him, but he had to be careful, not for fear of being hit, but for fear of knocking the other man into blood.

"Whew, whew, whew." Facing Edward's Grinton soldiers, his chest heaving and heaving, he saw Edward's lightning strike, hitting his companion's shoulder, and the fast, accurate, and ruthless shot made the soldiers who had despised Edward feel pressure and nervousness.

"This kid is amazing!" Splitting Shield Danny took the time to take a look, Edward's sword style was different from the pirates' attack methods, if Splitting Shield Danny's attack was like a rough storm, then Edward's attack was more delicate, gorgeous and clean tricks were like a master sculptor carving marble.

"Ping~." However, just as Danny was careless, the Glinton soldier took the opportunity to swing a wooden stick, and the blow hit Danny right on the forehead.

"Woo, damn fellow." Splitting the shield Danny suddenly became angry, he threw away the stick in his hand, grabbed the soldier's neck, and jerked it up, and actually lifted the Glinton soldier up.

"Oh, pa." Mavis was stunned to see Shield Splitter Danny raise his soldier and clapped his hands excitedly, while Anne let out an exclamation and covered her eyes in fright.

"Enough, enough." Bruce looked at the soldier whose face had been turned into a pig's liver by Danny, and he stepped out to stop the two sides.

"Your Lord." Both the downed soldier and the shield splitter Danny hurriedly withdrew their hands, and the soldier who was lifted was thrown to the ground, and the shield splitter Danny bowed slightly to Bruce.

"Edward, come here." Bruce smiled slightly, and he turned and waved at Edward.

"Your Lord." Edward put away his stick, and he walked up to Bruce a little shyly, and bowed to him.

"I didn't expect you to be a good hand with a sword." Bruce smiled at Edward and said in admiration.

"Actually, I should have forgotten to use a sword a long time ago." Edward said with a lack of interest.

"Why? Just because of your sickness? Bruce was a little curious, with such superb swordsmanship, Edward would win a place even in the bishop, how could he not fall into his own small territory.

"No, it has nothing to do with sickness, it's my own decision, an oath." Edward said to Bruce solemnly.

"Oath, can you forget this oath for me?" Bruce thought for a moment, and he said to Edward.

"Ahem, in fact, I don't need to keep the oath anymore, but my faintness is, uh, uh~~." When Edward turned his face, he suddenly saw the blood on Danny's face, and his face suddenly turned pale.

"That~~." Bruce was about to speak, but Edward fainted and fell to the ground.

"What's wrong with him?" Splitting Danny wiped a handful of blood from his face, stretched out his tongue and licked the blood on his hands, and asked in confusion.

"Someone, carry him away." Bruce shook his head helplessly, such a good swordsman, but he couldn't see a trace of blood, which was like a sharp sword but couldn't be unsheathed.

"Sickness, it's amazing." Mavis trotted over to the fainting Edward, who was holding her skirt, and she looked at Edward on the ground with great interest, and Bruce looked at him like a doctor looking at a guinea pig.

"What do you want to do?" Bruce asked, curious.

"I'd like to try to treat his sickness." Mavis raised her little face, a look of longing in her eyes, as if she were about to fiddle with a fun toy.

"Uh, let's try it!" Bruce was a little curious about how Mavis would treat Edward.

While Bruce was glad that he had acquired a swordsman, his brother James at Locke Manor felt that he had been favored by the Duke, and that his successful hospitality to the Duke made him think that his status had been promoted, but James had further plans.

"Baron, you have it all, I feel like I'm back in my own castle." The Duke of Bemessi picked up a bunch of grapes, picked a cherry that was stuffed into the small mouth of his female companion who was resting on his shoulder, and said to James in admiration.

"If you can make the Duke feel at home, it will be the greatest honor of Locke Manor." James leaned back on the armrest of the wooden chair, holding up a glass of wine and said with a smile on his face.

"Haha, modest baron, my female companion and I feel comfortable in your estate, but you know that I have always disliked owing favors." The Duke of Bemessi laughed with his female companion for a while, and then said to James amid the giggles of his female companion.

"It is an honor to serve the Duke." James' heart was pounding violently, and he knew that this was an extremely critical moment, and he had to answer carefully.

"No, no, no, I can't let anyone criticize me for being a stingy duke behind my back, ah, I thought of a good reward." Duke Bermessi smiled, he knew James's careful thinking.

"What is it?" James swallowed, and he looked at the honorable duke.
