Chapter 17: Crossing the Lake

In fact, children living in the wizarding world are usually bored, and the Weasleys' Burrow is in the hills and trees south of the village of Ottery-St. Cachpole, yet most Muggles don't even notice a house there.

There were only four wizard residents nearby, and Diggory's house was the closest to them, but still miles away.

Both sides can only ride broomsticks, or by other means. In fact, the children of the four families have little contact.

The Weasley children rarely go to the village of Autry-St. Cachippol, let alone play with regular Muggles.

However, the twins stated that their brother had a Muggle friend who was a beautiful girl.

"Muggles in general are more difficult to get along with, they always think we're weirdos, we don't usually play together, and ...... My house is also quite far from the town. ”

Lee Jordan is even worse off, he is the only one in his family, so sometimes he doesn't have a playmate.

Albert was much better than they were, he had a younger sister, a bunch of books, and the occasional ball with others. However, I don't usually play with a bunch of kids, because it's boring after all.

Although he didn't really have any good friends, Albert was quite popular at school. After all, he has excellent grades, is very good in all aspects, and belongs to the type of better talker, and also knows how to manage interpersonal relationships.

Albert had asked the trio if children in the wizarding world didn't actually attend Muggle schools.

It's really hard to imagine that a family like Malfoy would send their children to Muggle schools?

Apparently not.

With the exception of some wizards, of course.

However, the twins never visited, and their initial knowledge was taught by their families.

"By the way, is there a wizard family named Smith?" asked Albert, whose grandfather was originally from Smith. Later, following his Muggle relatives, he casually changed his name as well.

It can be seen how much he hated the guy who abandoned him in the first place.

"Didn't hear that, you George?" Fred looked at his twin brother.

"I haven't heard of it either. Li Jordan shook his head. "Something?"

"It's nothing, I still don't know where I've heard this surname. Albert looked out the window, the visibility was low, and it was getting dark.

In other words, he didn't find out that Li Jordan was a talker, this guy likes to talk non-stop.

The three of them weren't bored, and the cubicle was boring anyway, listening to him nag things was like hypnosis.

Albert reopened his eyes, and he felt as if the train had slowed down.

"In five minutes, the train will arrive at Hogwarts, please leave your luggage on board and we'll get you to school. A voice echoed through the megaphone on the train.

"Merlin's beard, it's finally here. Fred stretched lazily, sitting on the train for too long, not in good spirits.

George helped clean up the snacks on the table and put them in Albert's suitcase.

The train finally stopped, and the four of them walked out of the cubicle, pushing and shoving as the people in the train aisle pushed and shoved, and rushed to the door.

When I got off the bus, it was really hectic. They descended to a small, dark platform, and the cold rain was pouring down, and the chill of the night made Albert shiver.

"I hate the rain. Albert muttered, pulling out his wand and chanting a spell to the peaked hat, "Fire and water are invulnerable." ”

"First-year freshmen! First-year freshmen are coming here!" A loud voice shouted on the platform, and he held the oil lamp above everyone's heads and shook it to attract the attention of the new students.

"What are you doing, keep up. Fred reached out and pulled him.

"Wait a minute. Albert also recited the robes on his body, and he didn't know if the spell would work, but it was better than nothing.

"Hurry up, Albert. Lee Jordan urged.

"Don't worry, it's coming. Fluorescent flash. Albert took his wand and walked over to Hagrid, a tall man with a long beard that looked scary from a distance.

If you don't know, you think it's a dangerous person, but the appearance is really scary.

"Are there any more first-year freshmen, we're all here, let's go!" Hagrid led them away from the platform, losing the shelter of the platform, and the icy rain was hitting them, giving goosebumps all over the freshmen's bodies.

"Watch the soles of your feet. Hagrid shouted, but it didn't help at all, because of the rain, the path was muddy, and many people fell down several times along the way.

Alberta pulled at her peaked hat and robes, wrapping herself tightly. Fortunately, the Fire and Water Spell worked, and he didn't become a soup chicken like the others.

Why didn't I learn how to conjure an umbrella with a wand? No, Albert remembered that he had a folding umbrella in his suitcase.

He was a little annoyed and angry with himself.

Albert decided to take the time to learn that useful magic so that he wouldn't have to worry about not having an umbrella with him in the rain.

"Are you alright?" In front of him, another unlucky guy fell.

"Thanks, it's been a choking ride. The girl who was helped up said gratefully

"Let's go. Albert let go of his hand, explored his wand with his wand, and walked slowly forward.

It was definitely the worst class of freshmen, and many of them fell and were covered in mud.

He also heard Lee Jordan, who was reluctant to leave him, whispering insults, who had just been brought by the people around him.

Albert suddenly felt that it was a wise decision to stay behind, at least not to be taken down.

"Be careful, it's going downhill. Hagrid shouted in front of him. When he went down, he waited on the side to avoid any student slipping while walking the steep slope.

It turned out to be a wise decision, and three of the unlucky ones almost fell, but Hagrid was able to hold them in time.

"Watch out, you'll be at the lake soon. ”

When the group had descended, Hagrid stepped forward to lead the way, and they stumbled around a corner until they reached a black lake.

On the hillside on the other side of the lake, there is a castle that is Hogwarts Castle.

The castle windows have flickering lights, which stand out against the rain at night.

"Each boat cannot have more than four people. Remember, no more than four people!" Hagrid pointed to the boat on the shore and shouted to the newcomer.

"Albert, over here. One of the twins beckoned to him, and Lee Jordan was here, both covered in mud and looking very embarrassed.

"You're all right. Albert couldn't help but laugh and got into the boat.

"It's not good, I fell once, I was taken down twice. ”

"Get on board," Hagrid shouted, and after carrying the lamp to make sure no one was overloaded, he took the boat by himself, "Good, then...... Advance. ”

The boat is automatic without oars, paddling across the lake and heading forward.

Albert looked up at the castle in front of him, with a vague sense of excitement, Hogwarts, I'm here.
