Chapter 32: The Tea Is a Little Hot

All afternoon, Hermione and Carl spent the afternoon discussing the idea of combining Transfigurations by the Great Lake.

Speaking of excitement, Hermione even forgot that she had classes to attend in the afternoon.

By the time she realized it, it was already dark.

Looking at the moon hanging high in the sky, Hermione jerked up from the ground and covered her mouth in surprise.

"Oh no, Carl! we missed the pre-Halloween dinner!"

"If you miss it, you miss it. Karl said lazily, picking at the floating flames in front of him with his wand.

The flames made a few slight explosions at his instigation.

After comforting Hermione, he regained his usual lazy appearance, so angry that Hermione couldn't help but kick him in the calf.

"Hermione! it hurts!" Carl said, clutching his calf.

Hermione glared at him, "We can't afford to skip the group activities! if Professor McGonagall catches us, she'll definitely deduct us a lot of points!"

With that, he picked up Carl, who was still sitting on the ground, and couldn't help but say, dragging him in the direction of the castle.

During this time, Carl struggled a few times, but he couldn't break free, so he had to let Hermione pull him forward.

The two of them walked along the path to the courtyard in front of the castle gate, and then walked some distance further until they came to the castle gate, where Hermione pushed the door, but the door pushed.

"Oh no! the door is locked!

Hermione's eyes widened in surprise, "Normally, even after midnight, the castle doesn't lock the door, why is it locked so early today?!"

Of course, it was because Voldemort and Quirrell were doing something, and the teacher was afraid that something would happen to the students, so he locked the door. Carl thought to himself.

Hermione pointed her wand at the door and said, "Alajo Cave open!"

But the gate did not move.

"What the hell is going on Carl! We're stuck outside!" Hermione said anxiously.

When I looked back, I saw that Carl looked leisurely and leisurely, and he didn't care about himself.

Hermione angrily stomped on Carl's instep.

"Oh-" Karl yelled, jumping back and forth on one foot on the ground, tears almost coming down his face.

Then, he squatted on the ground and rubbed it for a long time before he got up from the ground and complained to Hermione, "It hurts, okay?"

Hermione ignored him, looked back at the door, and then at Carl, as if thinking of something.

"Open the door!" she said.

Karl's eyes widened, "What are you kidding? Hermione! This is Hogwarts Castle! The highest defense level in the UK! As long as the door is locked, even if Voldemort comes, don't even think of opening it! Do you really think I can do anything?"

Then, Karl laughed again, "But I can use my magic to blast the wall next to me, why don't you try it?"

Hermione gave him a blank look, then looked at the door, anxiety written across her face.

Now that she hadn't missed the dinner, if she couldn't get into the castle, she and Carl would have to sleep out in the wild tonight.

Carl chuckled, he had guessed what Hermione was thinking.

So, he patted Hermione on the back, "Let's go, I'll take you somewhere that should be able to handle the night." ”

......

At the edge of the Forbidden Forest, Hagrid's hut, the lights are still on.

Karl walked up the steps and knocked on the door.

There was a muffled barking of dogs in the room, followed by Hagrid's voice.

"Back off, tooth, back off!"

"Who is it?" said Hagrid as he opened the door a crack to reveal his bearded face.

"Hello, Hagrid. Karl said politely.

"Oh! it's you!" Hagrid took a big step back, barely knocking over the teapot on the table behind him.

He immediately sensed that his reaction was a little bigger, and he coughed pretending to be calm, and then said to Carl, "Hello, Carl!"

Then, he saw Hermione beside Carl.

"Hello, Hermione!"

After a moment's hesitation, Hagrid turned sideways, trying to let the two in.

"Come in and sit. ”

As he spoke, he desperately grabbed the collar of a large black hound to keep it from pounced.

"Don't move!

Hermione was startled by the big dog and involuntarily grabbed Carl's arm.

Hagrid apparently noticed this, and said to the two, "Don't be afraid, it's friendly. ”

Carl nodded, he knew that the big dog was just fierce on the outside.

Give Hermione a reassuring look, then glance curiously.

The dog was really big and almost caught up with a calf.

I don't know what it tastes like if you eat it.

Thinking like this, a fierce light involuntarily appeared in his eyes.

And this fierce light made the teeth who were desperately trying to pounce suddenly dumb up, clamped their tails and began to desperately hide behind Hagrid, which surprised Hagrid.

Letting Hermione and Carl in, and once they were seated at the table, Hagrid poured a cup of tea for each of them, then turned to get the crust cake.

Hermione picked up her teacup and tried to take a sip, but Carl held it down.

Carl whispered, "You're not feeling well, don't drink anything!"

Hermione froze for a moment, then her face swollen red.

Glancing at Hagrid, who was still fetching something, he glared fiercely into Carl's eyes, and asked in a low voice, "How do you know?"

"You know what?" said Carl, looking puzzled.

Hermione looked at him suspiciously, wondering if Carl really didn't know or if he didn't know.

Carl casually picked up the teacup, took a small sip, and nodded in satisfaction.

Not to mention, it's quite delicious.

Then, he winked his eyes at Hermione, who was still staring at him.

Now Hermione was completely sure.

"You!" Hermione looked at Carl with a red face and hatred, not knowing what to say for a moment.

As soon as Hagrid finished taking the rock skin cake, he saw Hermione and Carl staring at each other, and couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong with you two?"

Carl shrugged at Hagrid, then looked at Hermione, who glared at Karl fiercely, and then shook his head at Hagrid.

"It's alright, Hagrid. ”

Then, as if remembering something, the girl asked curiously, "Hagrid, why didn't you go to the Pre-Halloween dinner?"

"Oh, you said this. Hagrid looked strange, "I'm investigating the bald unicorn, I don't know why, its personality has become completely different from other unicorns, it's not afraid of people at all, but looking for people to touch it all day long, it's really strange." ”

"Poof!"

Carl squirted out all the sip of tea he had just taken in his mouth.

"What's wrong, Carl?" Hagrid asked, coming up and patting Carl on the back.

"Ahem...... Cough...... It's okay, it's okay. ”

Coughing several times, Karl waved at Hagrid.

Then, he noticed that Hermione was looking at him suspiciously.

Facing the girl's gaze, Karl smiled and said, "That, the tea is a little hot." ”
