Chapter 155: Qu Zi Orchid Valley

It was autumn, on both sides of the Fu River, and the reeds were flying.

It used to be a dream of spring, when the flowers actually bloomed, the reed chose to be silent, there was no figure in the flowers, and when the summer flowers were in full bloom, the reed flowers were still weaving beautiful expectations.

Only in late autumn, when the autumn wind blows through the fields, the fields are almost bleak, and when they are inadvertent, with a little shyness, they open the flowers, bloom in the bleak autumn sun, and dot the fields, riverbanks, and streams. Swaying in the autumn wind, listening to the sound of the wind, stretching a beautiful shadow. The dream of spring, but the beauty of autumn.

On the banks of the river, the wind pushes westward from behind. On the banks of the Acacia River, the shadow is leisurely.

Nong Tian remembered that when he was a child, he went to the Fu River, used reed poles to weave horses, weave birds, or something, and now, he can only watch the reeds flying all over the sky.

As soon as Nong Tian crossed the Fujiang Plain, bypassed Jiuzi Creek, turned into the mountains, and came to Baohua Temple.

There is the tower of Baohua Haihui, a monument and a tower, which is a solid stone tower. Bluestone texture, 4.9 meters high, the appearance combines the characteristics of the Lama tower and the imitation pavilion tower, by the abutment, the tower base, the tower body, the tower brake, the stone components are mortise and tenon joints.

The plane of the abutment is square, the side length is 3.6 meters, the height is 0.40 meters; the base of the tower is the seat of Sumeru, stands in the center of the abutment, and the plane is octagonal; above the base of the tower is a circle of simplified and unpatterned upturned lotus cushion bottom, on it is the body of the three-layer tower, the structure is a combined tower; the tower brake stands on the waist eaves of the second layer, from the bottom to the top are respectively the heaven and earth plate brake seat, the six-sided water treasure cover, the treasure bead brake top.

Nong Tianyi walked into the west side of the tower and erected a stele, and saw that there was a stele inscription of "Longzang Mountain Baohua Nunnery opened the mountain and built the tower", and the year number was engraved. The tower is called "the tower of Baohua Haihui", bluestone carving, six sides and five layers, the total height is more than 5 meters.

On the front of the first floor, you can see the image of the monk sitting on the lotus platform on the third floor, the head is vivid, the sitting posture is upright, and the folds of the clothes are clearly recognizable.

The front of the two-storey tower body is engraved with the name of the tower "the tower of Baohua Haihui", the left is engraved with "the three years of Hongzhi of the Ming Dynasty", and the right has the words "Fengjian Zen Master Huiyu Zen Master".

The front of the third layer is engraved with the words "Dharma Protector Heavenly Bodhisattva" and "Nan Wu Zhaobao Great Power Xiuli Bodhisattva", and the other sides are engraved with written records, such as "Daojun Baolong of the Metropolitan Prison Temple", "Ming Jian Mingyu of the Kaishan Bhikshu", "Abbot Dao Xuan Dao Yue" and so on are clearly legible.

Under the tower is the underground palace of bluestone structure, built exquisitely, carved text, see a relic. Nong Tianyi was surprised. However, the seven-story pagoda is generally a monk who has a certain degree of enlightenment, and the thirteen-level pagoda is the Buddha relics pagoda.

At 5 meters on the west side of the tower, there is a stone tablet sitting on the stone turtle, the tablet is engraved "Longzang Mountain Baohua Nunnery opens the mountain and builds the tower record", the age is "the three years of Hongzhi in the Ming Dynasty".

He knew that not far from the tower of Baohua Haihui, there was also a similar shape of the "Myoko Jingshe" tower, the age of "Ming Zhengde Bingzi". The two towers are only 500 meters apart, but the "Zhengde Bingzi" and "Hongzhi three years" are 26 years apart.

According to legend, during the Song Longxing period (1163 AD), a temple was built on the south bank slope at the east end of the Baohua River Valley, which was named "Baohua Temple". The big incense burner in the temple for pilgrims to worship the Buddha is famous in a radius of 100 miles, and there are still "the water of Qingxi Temple, the tea of Luyuan Temple, the incense burner of Baohua Temple, the tower of Yuquan Temple", it can be seen that the incense of Baohua Temple was prosperous at that time.

The Haihui Pagoda was originally the meeting place of the holy congregations of Buddhism. After the famous Buddhist monk passed away, the bone relics were buried in the underground palace and a tower was built to commemorate it. According to the size of the merit, set up 3, 5, 7 layers of towers, the highest seven floors, that is, Buddhism said seven levels of floating slaughter.

Nong Tianyi muttered to himself, Futu, it is a pagoda.

And many sweeping monks, no public and no virtuous young monks were cremated and put into the public tower to wait for reincarnation. The pagoda of the Baohua Sea Club is located on the mountainside near the Baohua Temple. Nong Tianyi speculated that this should be the return place of the monks in Baohua Temple and its vicinity after their deaths. The size of the two towers should be different from the public.

After the Wei and Jin dynasties, religion flourished in the Jingshan area, and Taoism and Buddhism saw each other. In the Tang Dynasty, it became a central area, with Taoist temples and stone chambers, caves, and Jingzhou, which was the political and cultural center of the south at that time.

Such as the Eight Immortal Cave, Guanyin Temple, Baohua Temple, Zhenjing Temple, Dinglin Temple, Fairy Cave, Sifang Mountain, as well as White Horse Temple, Baiyun Temple, Qingshou Temple, and Liandu Nunnery in the county, etc., are endless.

The Taoist feathered into an immortal and drove the crane to the west, and the Buddhist family passed away in Nirvana, leaving the ashes relics, building a tower to bury them, and comforting the later saints.

And there is a clear stream next to Baohua Temple, called Jiuzi Creek. This Jiuzi Creek has a lot of origins.

During the reign of King Chu Huai, Qu Yuan was framed by traitorous ministers and dismissed. To this end, he set up a school and taught his disciples personally. Legend has it that the poem "Yu Ji Zilan's Nine Wants" in "Lisao" was originally "Nine Wants", and later misrepresented as "Nine Streams", which is the Nine Streams of Nanyi County.

It is said that one day, the orchid lady of Huaguo Mountain went on a trip, passed by here, and found that Qu Yuan, who was clear, was lecturing, so he lowered the cloud head from the sky and stood on the side of the window to listen quietly. Qu Yuan waved his hands and impassionedly stated the truth of revitalizing the Chu State, and the unswerving patriotic spirit moved the orchid lady.

She knew that Qu Yuan was a normal orchid, and when she left, she deliberately cast a spell to turn the three orchids she planted under the window into essence.

Orchids are of noble character and have pale green or light yellow flowers; Qu Yuan taught tirelessly, sacrificing himself and selflessly preaching and teaching. During a recess, he talked about the situation of the traitors of the state and the suffering of the people, and because he was overly excited and filled with righteous indignation, a mouthful of blood spurted out of his mouth, and happened to splash on the roots of the orchid outside the window. When the disciples saw the teacher teaching and educating people with all his heart, they were so distressed that they burst into tears!

The three orchids, nourished by Dr. Qu's painstaking efforts, turned into a large canopy overnight, and the students counted them, and there were dozens of them. Qu Yuan smelled the fragrant fragrance, and his condition improved a lot. Everyone was overjoyed and worked together to transplant the orchids into the open space around the school. Strangely enough, the orchid took root on the first day of entering the soil, sprouted buds on the second day, stretched out its branches and leaves on the third day, and bloomed on the fourth day. On the fifth day, each plant sprouted a new canopy. Qu Yuan led the students to plant plants by the stream and in the mountains, so that the orchids could spread.

The mountain people said happily: "We have twelve acres here called one wan, and the orchids planted by Dr. Qu are afraid that there are three acres!" Our valley should really be renamed Jinglan Valley. ”

Subsequently, the orchid developed from three to six, and gradually expanded from six to nine. Since then, this clear stream under Huaguo Mountain has been called Jiuzi Creek. The orchids by the Jiuzi Creek are like a year in full bloom, and its intoxicating fragrance overflows the entire Wuling Gorge, and the fragrance floats throughout Jingshan until the fragrance spreads all over half of Chutian!

Finally, taking a flat boat with a leaf and carrying the fragrance of flowers, Qu Yuan still went out of the mountain. However, in May of that year, the orchids on the banks of Jiuzi Creek and Jinglan Valley suddenly withered and died, leaving only a burst of dark fragrance...... So now Jiuzixi has become the Orchid Valley, which has been famous for a long time.

The villagers of Chu had a premonition that something ominous was going to happen, and they were uneasy. A few days later, the bad news came, on the day the orchid withered, Dr. Qu had committed suicide by throwing himself into the Miluo River. People were grieving, and the orchid lady on Huaguo Mountain also cried and swollen her eyes.

Later, Dr. Qu's school was converted into the Jinglan Temple, and the orchid grass was widely planted, which was used by future generations to show permanent memorial.

At this time, Nong Tianyi walked into Jinglan Temple and bowed with great piety!
