Chapter 318: Journey to the West
Chapter 318: Journey to the West
After Zhao Zizhong issued the order, the meeting ended.
Everyone covered their noses and quickly rushed to the deck.
The guards have begun to show their skills, some have dropped their fishing nets, some have picked up fishing rods, and some have simply taken off their clothes and jumped into the sea with their bare butts to touch the fish and catch shrimp.
Taichen shook his head, took out a wine gourd from his bosom, walked to the bow of the boat and sat down, and drank to his heart's content.
Du Dalei came over with a smile and sat opposite Taiqin, "Monk, you are too inauthentic, you are secretly drinking!" Don't shout at me. ”
Tai Qin said: "Lord Dushi, you can't drink enough, and you are not the opponent of the Sprinkle family at all." Lord Bao Shi and Lord An Shi can still compete with the Sprinkle family, you are too far apart. ”
Du Dalei was not angry: "Monk, drinking is to pay attention to your mood, and the amount of alcohol is not important." I really can't drink you, so what can I do? Monk, you're in the picture. ”
Tai Qin smiled dumbly: "Hehe, what Master Du Shi said is very right, the Sprinkle family is a Buddhist disciple, and he shouldn't be competitive!"
'Greed, hatred, and stupidity' three poisons, the Sprinkle family has all accounted for it, it seems that the Sprinkle family can only be a wine and meat monk in this life, and cannot achieve positive results. ”
Du Dalei asked curiously: "What are the three poisons of 'greed, hatred, and stupidity'?" I've only heard of all five poisons, but I haven't heard of three poisons? ”
Tai Qin explained: "The three poisons that Buddhism talks about: greed, which is the attachment to desire, heaven and earth, self-esteem; Anger is the paranoia of joy and anger; Idiocy is paranoia about preferences; It is a reaction of greed or anger based on the fundamental ignorance of the reality of the matter.
Greed refers to the mental activity that is stained in the realm of the five desires such as color, sound, fragrance, taste, and touch. That's what it means. Buddhists believe that sentient beings live in the world and come into contact with the outside world with their eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and other organs, producing sensations such as color, sound, fragrance, taste, and touch. These feelings can arouse the desires of sentient beings, so they are called the five desires. If you cling to these five desires and have a heart of love, you become greedy. Therefore, greed and love are synonymous.
In the 16th volume of the Kusha Treatise, it says: 'In his possessions, he desires evil and is greedy. ’
The insatiable desire to pursue and possess fame, fortune, possessions, everything that is desirable in the outside world, and even the bodies of sentient beings that are harmonized by the five aggregates, can be called greed.
In the sixth volume of the "Theory of Enlightenment", it says: 'What is greed in the clouds? In existence, there is dyeing for sex. There is no greed for obstacles, and there is suffering for karma. ’
'Being' and 'being' refer to the beings of the Three Realms and the various conditions on which they depend. He also believes that greed is a mental obstacle to non-greed, and because of its attachment to the bodies of sentient beings that are united by the five aggregates, life is in a constant cycle of birth and death, and suffers from the circulation of the three worlds.
Anger, also known as anger, anger, etc., refers to hatred, resentment, and the psychology of harming others. In the Mahayana Treatise on the Five Aggregates, it says, 'What is hatred in the clouds?' It is said that there is affection for the damage of sex. ’
In the "Theory of Enlightenment", it is said: "Those who are angry are suffering and suffering, hatred is nature, there is no hatred, there is no anger, there is unstability in nature, and evil deeds are based on karma." ’
The generation and effect of anger is the opposite of greed. Greed is the psychological desire to pursue and possess endlessly due to the liking of things, but anger is the psychology and emotion of resentment and anger caused by the dislike of severing beings or things.
Buddhists believe that resentment towards others or things that go against one's wishes will cause mental effects such as heat and anxiety in the minds and bodies of sentient beings, and is very harmful to the practice of Buddhism. Therefore, Buddhists regard anger as the great enemy of spiritual practice.
This is true for Buddhist practice, but if it is for others or society, then anger is even more harmful. Hatred for anger against others can lead to fights or killings, ranging from endangering a family or a village to a disaster for the whole world and the whole country.
Therefore, in the fourteenth volume of the "Treatise on Great Wisdom", it is said that anger is the heaviest of the three poisons, the deepest blame, and the most difficult to treat among all kinds of heart diseases.
Ignorance and ignorance. It refers to the darkness of the mind and ignorance. In the Kusha Treatise, it is said: 'The foolish, the so-called foolishness, is ignorance. ’
Buddhists believe that sentient beings, due to their ignorance since beginninglessness, are ignorant and obsessed with reason, and thus have the distinction of 'human' and 'self'. As a result, self-grasping, dharma-grasping, all kinds of troubles in life, and all kinds of disturbances in the world arise from this. Therefore, the fool depends on all the troubles. In the sixth volume of the "Theory of Consciousness", it is said: "Being obsessed with the directors is a secret nature, which can hinder no ignorance, and all impurities depend on karma." And he said, 'Every affliction will arise from infatuation.' ’
Since ignorance is the basis of all afflictions, it naturally becomes one of the root afflictions. And it works together with all the other fundamental afflictions. The 55th volume of the "Treatise on the Land of the Yogis" also takes the repetition of afflictions, desolation, delusion, distraction, and unrighteousness as specific manifestations of naivety.
The purpose of Buddhist practice is to eliminate ignorance and ignorance. The Husband; Take silence as the body. Cultivators; Take the separation as the sect. Therefore, Jingyun: Silence is Bodhi, and all things are extinguished. Buddha Jue also; People have a conscious mind and get the Bodhi Dao, so they are called Buddhas.
Jingyun: Away from all appearances, that is, the names of Buddhas. It is the appearance of knowing and the appearance of non-appearance. You can't see it, but you can know it. If a person hears this Dharma and has a thought of faith, this person will transcend the Three Realms with Mahayana.
The Three Realms: greed, hatred, and ignorance. Returning to greed, hatred, and ignorance is the precept, determination, and wisdom, that is, the name of the Three Realms. Of course, greed, hatred, and ignorance are not substantial, but in terms of sentient beings. If you can look back, you will see that greed, hatred, and ignorance are Buddha nature, and there is no other Buddha nature besides greed, hatred, and ignorance. ”
When Tai Qin saw that Du Dalei was drowsy when he heard this, he kept silent.
At this time, he looked up and saw that Zhai Xiaoshan was listening intently to his explanation of the Buddhist scriptures. I looked at him carefully.
Tai Qin observed Zhai Xiaoshan's face with a surprised expression.
Zhai Xiaoshan asked, "Master, is there anything wrong with me?" ”
Tai Chin shook his head: "Donor, you have a bright future, and you will become a big man in the future." But you have to remember that you must do less to kill and try to avoid the destruction of human beings. ”
Zhai Xiaoshan said solemnly: "Keep in mind the master's teachings, I will definitely do it." ”
Tai Chin sighed and said, "Well, I hope so, donor, I see that you are very interested in Buddhist scriptures. Tomorrow I will give you a copy of the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra, hoping that you will have a clear mind and no obstacles.
Everything has a way of doing things, like a dream bubble, like dew and electricity, and should be viewed as such. ”
Zhai Xiaoshan asked a little puzzled, "Master, what do you mean by the words?" ”
Taichin shook his head, drank to himself, and stopped talking.
Du Dalei, who was dozing off, woke up, he snatched Tai Qin's wine gourd, took a big sip, and then looked at Tai Qin with a smile.
Tai Qin was not angry, and said expressionlessly: "Lord Dushi, you are naughty again. ”
Du Dalei's reaction was similar to Boris's just now, his face immediately turned the color of pig liver, and a mouthful of old blood almost spurted out.
"Monk, I'm not Bajie, what are you naughty?"
Tai Qin asked suspiciously, "Who is Bajie?" Where is the monk? ”
Du Dalei was happy: "Monk, haven't you heard me talk about "Journey to the West"? Bajie is the character in this book, and he is indeed a monk. ”
Tai Qin shook his head: "I haven't heard of it, what is this book about?" ”
Du Dalei explained: "This book tells the story of Master Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty who went to the West to learn scriptures.
Tang Seng, whose common surname is Chen, his nickname is Jiang Liuer, his legal name is Xuanzang, and his name is Sanzang, and he was given the surname Tang by Tang Taizong. Reincarnated as the second disciple of the Buddha, Jin Chanzi.
Due to the miserable and bizarre experience of his parents, he grew up in the temple since he was a child, became a monk in Jinshan Temple, and finally moved to settle down and practice in a famous temple in the capital.
Tang Seng was diligent and studious, with a high level of understanding, and stood out among the monks in the temple. In the end, he was selected by Tang Taizong, bowed to him and went to the west to learn scriptures.
On the way to learn the scriptures, Tang Seng successively accepted three apprentices: Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, Sha Seng, and named: Wukong, Wu Neng, Wu Jing, and then with the assistance of three apprentices and Bailongma, after a lot of hardships, finally retrieved 35 scriptures from the West Heaven Leiyin Temple.
Monk, Zhu Bajie is one of Tang Seng's apprentices, Tang Seng often says: 'Bajie, you are naughty again. That's why I reacted so strongly. ”
Tai Qin suddenly realized and hurriedly asked, "Who wrote this "Journey to the West"? Du Shi Lord. Can you borrow it and take a look? ”
Du Dalei smiled, "Monk, this book is a story told to me by an old man when I was a child, and no words have been written. If you want to read it, you have to wait for Lao Tzu to be free before you can write it slowly. ”
Tai Qin asked again, "The elders of your family are monks?" How could he write this "Journey to the West"? ”
Du Dalei had no choice but to start making it up: "Monk, you know, our seven brothers, except for An Dalang and Cui Daoshu, are all from the West. ”
Tai Qin nodded: "Yes, I heard the donor speak. ”
"Most of our ancestors were captured during the Battle of Talas during the Tang Xuanzong period. They traveled thousands of miles to the West, where they took root, married and had children. Among their descendants, there is a great talent Nalan Rongruo, you know? ”
"I know, Nalan Rongruo is amazing and beautiful, and has written many sensational tunes and lyrics in the south of the Yangtze River, and Na Zhe is famous in Jinling because of Nalan Rongruo."
Du Dalei continued: "When Mr. Nalan Rongruo was young, he traveled all the way east from the west, and traveled to the land of Persia, Tianzhu, and Zhaowu, and experienced a lot of hardships. He admired Master Xuanzang very much when he traveled west to learn scriptures, so he wrote this "Journey to the West". ”
Tai Qin listened to Du Dalei's words, his heart was itching, and he said helplessly: "Lord Dushi, aren't you deliberately teasing the Sprinkle family?" This book must be very interesting, but you just shirk it and don't show it to the Sprinkle family, you are too much, too inauthentic! ”
