In the 90s of the last century, all military regions began to develop special forces, and most of the members of the special forces of each military region came from outstanding officers and soldiers in the self-defense and counterattack war against Vietnam, and the equipment of the special forces was also given priority by the whole military region.

At the end of the 90s of the last century, a special forces unit that was not subordinate to any military region was also quietly established, and the level of secrecy to the outside world also reached the second level, and only 10 people knew about the establishment plan.

The original intention of the establishment of the unit is to integrate operations at home and abroad, which can basically be divided into two operational objectives: domestic anti-terrorism, self-defense and overseas special operations, so the unit is called the China Special Operations Alliance, referred to as the China War Alliance, also known as the China War Alliance Special Forces.

The special forces of the Chinese War Alliance are divided into two brigades, the anti-terrorist brigade and the special brigade, and the two brigades conduct training for different operational purposes. The supply of equipment for this unit is also highly valued, and in addition to the North Industries Group, there are also the Southern Heavy Industry Group and the Southeast Firearms Experimental Base, which are classified as a first-class class. The supply of individual equipment includes the newly established Changchun Yulin Research Institute and Jixi Equipment Base. The unit was also the first combat unit to be equipped with satellites, which could assist the unit at any time, and the unit's military technology was on average 20 years ahead of civilian technology, and up to 10 years ahead of other units.

At the beginning of the 21st century, the unit gradually appeared in front of the intelligence agencies of various countries, and individual intelligence agencies set up research groups to study the special forces, and after a few years of research, they only got a few sets of CSWL, ChinaSpecialWarfareLeague, and then gave up.

When the unit was founded, the major general of the Central Military Commission personally designed the armband of the unit, and in order to reflect that the military science and technology of the unit was ahead of the conventional troops, the latest Type 95 automatic rifle and Type 88 sniper rifle of our army were specially adopted and placed on the sword logo of the special forces at that time.
