Chapter 5: How to Do Getaway Part 3
Don't pursue your own sense of existence, even if others treat you as air, how to do things or how to do things, this is "no one else". し
Don't pursue the kind of credit that others think, and do what you have to do. On the premise of not affecting life, do what should be done, and do not do what you can't do and don't force yourself to do it, this is "god-man reactive".
Don't pursue fame, don't pursue profit, do what you have to do. On the premise of not affecting life, do what you should do, don't do what you can't do, don't force yourself to do it, this is "the saint is nameless".
Living is the goal, it is the task, do not do everything that affects survival, do everything that is conducive to survival. Only in this way can we achieve the goal of having no self for others, no merit for gods and men, and no name for saints.
The third segment in the second part of "Getaway" starts from "Yao let the world Yu Xu You" to "The corpse wishes not to be replaced by the bottle". This paragraph is about "fame" and a person's abilities and hobbies, as well as the pursuit of life.
Yao wants to give the world to Xu You, thinking that Xu You is more suitable to govern the world, and has more ability and virtue. Xu You didn't accept it, thinking that Yao had already governed the world very well and didn't need him to govern. If he were to govern it, it would probably be like this. So! There is no need. If he had to govern, it would be for the sake of "fame".
Therefrom! Xu You expressed his feelings, thinking: Wrens nest in the deep forest, but only one branch; The squirrel drinks the river, but it is full.
This passage translates to the effect that the wren builds a nest in the deep forest, and only needs a branch; The mole drinks the water of the river as long as its stomach is full.
Life is nothing more than this, in order to live, in order to complete the process of this life.
Xu You then said: Return to the king, and give useless to the world! Although the people are not cured, the corpse will not be replaced by the bottle.
This passage translates to the effect: Please go back, the world is of no use to me! Although the cook does not cook, the celebrant should not exceed his authority to do the work of the cook.
Everyone has their own life trajectory, and everyone has their own interests and hobbies. Your life trajectory and duty is to be the king of the world and govern the world. And me! I also have my joy in life.
In fact! The overall meaning of this paragraph is that "name" is something outside the body, not something to be deliberately pursued. Your name is the evaluation that others give you, not the goal you want to pursue in life. The selflessness of others, the uselessness of gods and men, and the namelessness of saints are not deliberately pursued, but obtained naturally.
Everyone's life trajectory is different, and what they get is different, no matter what they get, they are not deliberately pursued, they are all naturally obtained. Alive! It is the goal and purpose of life, and the completion of the process of this life is the task of our life.
People live by their own nature, and only by living according to their own nature can life be fun.
Self-nature! The natural nature of a person. Nature! It's this character, this nature.
Because of our own nature, we have formed different interests and hobbies, which has caused our different life trajectories. Some people work in this profession to survive, and some people work in that profession to make a living. Therefore! Yao got the world, and Xu You lived in seclusion in the mountains and forests.
It is also derived from this: this person is the life of a leader and manager, that person is the life of a scientist, and that person is the life of a businessman...... Final word: no matter what profession you do, it's just about living.
The fourth and final part of the second part of "Getaway" is from "Shoulder Wu asked Uncle Lian to say" to "Yao ruled the people of the world, the government in Pinghai, and went to see the mountain where the four sons despised the aunt, and the sun of Fenshui, and lost the world". This paragraph is a summary and comprehensive explanation of the previous paragraph, and continues from the following.
The general meaning of this passage is:
Shougo asked Uncle Lian for advice, and Shougo heard about the mental realm from Jieyu, but he didn't understand or accept it, thinking it was nonsense.
Uncle Lian asked, "What did he say?" ”
"In the distant Gushu Mountain, there lived a man of God, whose skin was as white as ice and snow, and whose body was as soft as a virgin, who did not eat grains, who sucked the breeze and drank nectar, and rode the clouds and drove the flying dragon, and traveled beyond the four seas. His expression is so focused that everything in the world is free from disease, and the grain is abundant every year. I don't think that's all falsehood, and it's not credible at all. ”
After hearing this, Uncle Lian said, "Yes! For the blind you can't enjoy the patterns and colors with them, and for the deaf you can't listen to the music of the bells and drums. Is it just the deafness and blindness of the corpse? There are also deaf and blind minds too! This seems to mean that you are shouldering. ”
And then! Uncle Lian explained: When a person's virtue reaches this level, he has become one with all things. So! There is no need for human governance at all, people and all things consciously abide by this principle to live, and the world does not need others to manage, so! Who would take managing the world seriously!
Normally, a person who has reached this state will not be harmed by anything outside, nor will he be flooded by monstrous waters, nor will he feel the heat when the great drought in the world melts the gold and stones, and the earth and mountains are scorched. The dust he left behind and the waste such as the bran of the deflated grain can also create a sage and benevolent monarch like Yao Shun, how can he take it as his responsibility to be busy managing all things!
There were people in the Song Kingdom in the north who sold hats to the Yue Kingdom in the south, and the Yue people did not have hair and tattoos all over their bodies, and there was no place to use hats.
Yao governed the people of the world well, stabilized the political situation in the sea, went to Gushu Mountain, north of Fenshui, to meet the four enlightened masters, and couldn't help but feel stunned, forgetting his position in governing the world.
The above paragraphs are too long to understand.
Regarding the "Gu Shooting Mountain Divine Man", it is a character in the mental world, not a character in the real world. It is a character that appears when Taoists practice the spiritual realm, a "psychological figure", an "idol", and a realm and goal that a cultivator wants to achieve.
For this kind of text, we need to understand it from a psychological point of view. Taoism was the first to engage in the study of psychology, psychology is not superstition, the psychological world exists. Each of us has a mental world, but the direction of research is different during the Zhuangzi period. Zhuangzi and other Taoists studied "psychological media", and wanted to influence others through the psychological world.
"The Song people are suitable for the more, and the more people cut off their tattoos, and they are useless." What does this mean?
In fact! It's not difficult to understand in context. Meaning: If you sell something that others don't need, it will be fruitless! The Vietnamese people don't have hair, tattoos all over their bodies, and don't wear hats, so if you sell hats to them, you will naturally fail.
Combined with the context, it means: the world does not need to be governed, everyone in the world knows how to live, and the people in the world are not stupid, where do they need to be governed?
Why doesn't the world need to be governed? How could there be no need for governance?
This is to disseminate a correct outlook on life, the world, and the universe to the people of the world, and as long as the correct guiding ideology is used to guide the normal and healthy life of mankind, mankind does not need others to manage and govern.
This correct guiding ideology is the Taoist doctrine.
When we accept the Taoist view that man, like all things, is just one species on earth. A species that grows at the right time and dies at the wrong time. Maybe? We will let go of many unnecessary pursuits, so that we will not be so tired in life, and life will be happier.
