Chapter 514: Zhuangzi on the State

Meng Ke believes that the country has been a source for a long time, and the existence of the state is a historical necessity. So! The management of the country must be from the perspective and position of the state, not from the perspective and position of individual people.

It is precisely because society is composed of individual people and is scattered that it needs to be educated, centralized, and unified. Only by carrying out education in a centralized and unified manner can it be effective.

It is precisely because society is composed of individual people, scattered and scattered, that laws are needed to restrain people's behavior, and they need to be constrained by etiquette. Educate the people, make them polite, abandon barbarism, and move towards civilization.

So! Standing on the high plane and standpoint of the country, it is necessary and scientific to educate the people and improve the quality of the whole people.

So! It is absurd to think that Zhuangzi's remarks are wrong.

Zhuangzi believes that the starting point of Confucianism is good, which is to serve the country and the people. However, the theoretical foothold of Confucianism is wrong, Confucianism should not stand on the level of the state, nor should it stand on the level of the wise.

It is true that the existence of the state is inevitable in the development of history, and none of us can prevent the country from being divided into parts and divided into parts. Taoism is not ungovernmental, nor is it unwilling to submit to the unified management of the state.

Taoists believe that the existence of the state is a historical necessity, and no one can stop the wheel of history. But! Nations are made up of individual people. So! Governing the country must begin with individual people. If you want to govern a country well, you must first govern people's hearts.

Zhuangzi believes that the governance of the country must stand from the perspective and position of individual people, not from the perspective and position of the state. Because! Nations are made up of individual people. First there are individual people, and then! It is the combination of individual people that forms a state.

Only by letting people understand the truth of being a human being, the meaning of life, what people live for, and so on. And then! Only then can we talk to individual people about the existence of the state and the importance of the country.

What is Country?

Zhuangzi thinks! The state exists in order to protect the people so that they can better survive.

The current country is full of princes and kings. Only by ensuring the survival, safety, and good life of their subordinates, and by ensuring the existence and safety of their subordinates, and by having a large number of subordinate people and a strong national strength, can they enjoy the glory and wealth they deserve. The country is impoverished, the people's livelihood is not guaranteed, the king's glory and wealth will come to an end, and the vassal state will decline and perish.

The existence of the state is a historical necessity, but! When a country is unable to ensure the survival and better life of its people, the state exists in name only, and the institutions of the state lose the meaning of their existence.

And often at this time, the state becomes the biggest obstacle to the people. And often at this time, state institutions are most likely to be exploited by certain people with ulterior motives.

Like the current Great Zhou Dynasty, although the Great Zhou Dynasty still exists, it has been divided by the princes. Although the Son of Heaven of the Great Zhou still exists, he no longer has the dignity of the Son of Heaven.

It is the same with a country, when it becomes a yoke that binds the vast majority of its people, it is time to smash this shackle and rebuild the country.

Since the state is a historical product derived from people, it is a historical necessity. The state is a thing that exists to better protect the survival of its people, so! It's smaller than people. Because! Nations are born and exist because of people.

So! The management of the country should be from the perspective and position of the people, not from the perspective and position of the state.

Confucianism believes that we should manage the country from the perspective and position of managing the country, rather than from the perspective and position of people, which is to put the cart before the horse.

So! When a country cannot guarantee the survival of its people and the better life of its people, the people of the country can abandon the country. The people of the country can then reorganize the new state institutions and choose new administrators.

According to Zhuangzi, the error of Confucianism lies in the fact that it uses the power of the state to educate and restrain the people, and to formulate various laws and rituals to impose on the people. The state is smaller than the people, so! The state cannot bind its people.

The state can only guide and educate its people, not force others to accept it, let alone punish them if they violate them. Because! The people did not obey the law because their survival was threatened, because there was an existential crisis, because the state could not guarantee their survival, and they broke the law.

Zhuangzi believes that based on the origin of the state, the state is a product derived from human beings in order to survive better, and should be a code of conduct jointly formulated by the people of the country, that is, the law, to bind each other. It is not the state administrators who use the law to bind their people. Managers only have the power to supervise and manage, but not the power to override the law and the people.

When certain persons in the country do not abide by this code of conduct, it loses its effect to bind anyone.

Zhuangzi believes that there is a difference in IQ between people, but! Not much difference. The IQ of state managers is not necessarily higher than others, and there are many people who can be managers! Don't be superstitious about managers. And often the situation is that it is not the managers who have a higher IQ than others, they are the masters of management, but! They took advantage of the power in their hands......

So! Zhuangzi believes that the Confucian theory of managing the state from the height and position of the state is wrong. Because! You are not much smarter than others, and you should not have the power to be above others. We should manage the country from the perspective of people and how to survive better, so that we can manage a country well.

And also! Our IQ is not higher than others, and we should not teach others as a teacher, and force others to accept our views and our doctrines.

How to be more suitable for survival and how to make oneself live better is a person's code of conduct and a person's law.

Survival is our law!

How to survive better is the code of conduct we must follow!

"The Tao is different, not conspiratory!"

After listening to Zhuangzi's explanation, Meng Ke couldn't listen anymore, stood up, and prepared to leave.

"Let's go? Do you still want to go? Yang Qing'er also stood up, lifted the sword in his hand, and shouted in a dumb male duck voice.

"What are you doing? What? What? ”

The guards behind Meng Ke all stood up one by one and stopped in front of Meng Ke.

The atmosphere at the scene suddenly became tense again!

"He must apologize to me!" Yang Qing'er saw that she couldn't fight, so she had to talk around her neck.

"Apologize?" Meng Ke said, looking at Tian Gongzi.

He was naturally unconvinced when he apologized, but if he didn't apologize at this time, he really couldn't leave. In desperation, he had to look at Tian Gongzi.

"You didn't curse, you don't have to apologize." Tian Gongzi said.

And then! looked at Yang Qing'er and said, "Didn't you explain just now?" He didn't scold your grandfather! Why should he apologize to you? According to the theory of Confucianism, what he said makes sense? Isn't it? Zhuangzi? You tell me? ”

When Tian Gongzi saw Yang Qing'er's frame, he had to turn to Zhuangzi.

Zhuangzi turned his head to look at Yang Qing'er and said, "The theoretical basis of Confucianism and Taoism is different, this is a difference in doctrine and insight. From a Confucian point of view, I don't think 'a single hair will not be plucked'. So! You can't blame Meng Caizi.

Sister Qing'er! Right? Do you like it? From tomorrow, I will come to the Jixia School Palace here to explain Master's theory of 'not pulling out a dime', and change the world's perception of Taoism and understanding of Master. ”

"Hmm!" Yang Qing'er snorted in her nose and sat down. While saying: "I'm not done with him!" ”
