In this way, I can guarantee that Emperor Shun will never send anyone to crusade against you again. ”

Dayu said, he gave Sanmiao some food, cloth, utensils and other daily necessities to appease them. Dayu used the method of virtue and grace to let the Sanmiao people feel the sincerity brought by Dayu.

Guan Dou also kept his promise, and he led the Sanmiao people to lay down their arms and submit to Emperor Shun. Since then, they have never risen up against Di Shun.

When Emperor Shun reigned for thirty-three years, he felt that he was too old to do anything, so he decided to abdicate. At this time, Di Shun discussed abdication with his two concubines, "Empress E" and "Nuying".

Di Shun said: "Imperial Concubine, you two have been through ups and downs with me for so many years, and now that we are old, it is time to unload our burdens and enjoy the blessings." I think, I will pass the throne to Dayu to inherit. In terms of merit, I think no one can compare to him. ”

Emperor E said: "Da Shun, it's only to blame the minister's wife for only giving birth to a group of daughters, but Nuying's sister gave birth to a son 'Shang Jun' with you." Now our son Shang Jun has been sealed in the commercial land by you again. If you want to talk about succession, no matter how you say it, we have to let our Jun'er succeed to the throne. Your promotion of Dayu will only make Sister Nuying and Jun'er feel cold! ”

Once, when Da Shun heard that there was a disaster in the area of Jiuzhi Mountain in the south, he wanted to inspect the people's situation there. Therefore, Da Shun told his thoughts to the imperial concubine Empress E and Nuying. As soon as the two concubines thought that Da Shun was already old and frail, they rushed to go with Da Shun.

Da Shun said, "Imperial Concubine, think about the high mountains and dense forests along the way, the road is tortuous, we are all old, and you two are not in good health, I think you still don't go." This time, I'll just take a few retinues with me, and we'll leave early and come back early. ”

Early the next morning, Da Shun was about to leave quietly. When the two concubines looked at it, they said that they had to go with him. Da Shun was helpless, so he had to take the two concubines to the south to inspect together.

However, when they reached the shore of Dongting Lake, Emperor E suddenly fell ill, and Nuying also fell while climbing the mountain, and her leg was broken. Seeing this, Da Shun comforted the imperial concubine a few words, and left two maids to take care of the second concubine, while Da Shun led the others to continue the journey.

On this day, when Da Shun and his team inspected Jiuzhi Mountain, it was raining heavily from the sky, and Da Shun's entourage hurriedly took him to the cave to avoid the rain. Just as they were running towards the cave, they met another mountain man who was also hurrying towards the cave.

As soon as they ran into the cave, they suddenly saw nine evil dragons rushing down from the Nine Ridges Mountain. When the mountain people saw the evil dragon, their faces changed greatly, and Da Shun asked him what was going on?

The mountain folk said: "These nine evil dragons live in the nine caves of Jiuning Mountain, and they often like to spit out water to play in the water in the Xiangjiang River. They always like to spit out water in this way, so that frequent floods in the mountains often cause crops to be washed away, houses are often washed away, and the people are complaining and complaining. ”

Da Shun was very angry when he learned that the evil dragon had plagued the people, and he was also very concerned about the suffering of the people. Therefore, Dashun decided to help the people eliminate the harm as soon as possible to punish the evil dragon. But how exactly is the dragon punished? This stumped Da Shun.

On this day, Da Shun saw nine evil dragons frolicking in the mountains, and they were spraying water for fun. And the fun is having fun, but the flood in the mountains is getting bigger and bigger. Da Shun was helpless, so he stared at an evil dragon for a long time.

Unexpectedly, it didn't matter if Da Shun stared at it, the evil dragon's body was on fire. I saw that the evil dragon was covered in black smoke, and it dragged a flaming tail, and died after a few flutters.

The entourage was puzzled, and they looked at Da Shun together. Only then did he find that Da Shun had two pupils in each of his eyes, and those four pupils actually emitted a beam of strong light in unison, shooting the evil dragon to death. Oh! Only then did everyone remember that Da Shun was originally called "Chonghua" because of the four pupils.

Da Shun knew the power of the four pupils, so he stared at the other evil dragon again, and only half an hour later, the evil dragon also died. So, Da Shun made another blow and shot all nine evil dragons to death with four pupils.

After shooting the evil dragon, the floods in the area of Jiuning Mountain were also eliminated one after another. The people knew that it was Da Shun who shot the evil dragon, and everyone sent gifts to Da Shun to congratulate them with great admiration.

After that, Da Shun led his retinue to the south, and when they reached the southernmost field of Shenzhou (Guangxi), Da Shun fell ill. Due to the tiring days of driving and horses, coupled with the hot and cold rainy weather, Dashun occasionally felt cold, and at the same time his asthma attacked.

After Da Shun fell ill, his entourage hurriedly asked someone to help him heal. It may be the reason for the lack of adaptation to the water and soil, or it may be that Da Shun was greatly injured when he got rid of the evil dragon, and after a period of treatment, Da Shun's condition did not improve.

Da Shun also had a general understanding of his physical condition, and he knew that his condition was not easy to treat, so he urged people to hurry back. The people who accompanied them did not dare to slack off, so they hurried back day and night.

In the past few days, Da Shun's condition has become more serious, he spit out when he drank saliva, and the herbs could not be fed at all. After more than a month of hard work, the entourage felt that the situation was urgent, and Da Shun might not be able to return to the capital. But when they returned to Jiuzhi Mountain, Da Shun died.

The two imperial concubines, Empress E and Nuying, could not wait for the news of Da Shun's triumph on the shore of Dongting Lake, so they prayed for Da Shun day and night, wishing him an early victory and return. At that time, Emperor E's condition had just improved, and Nuying's leg injury had not fully recovered.

They were so grieved that they wept for nine days and nine nights, and their eyes were swollen from crying, and their throats were hoarse from crying, and their tears were dry. In the end, they wept blood and tears.

The two of them stood at the highest point of Jun Mountain, crying and looking in the direction of Jiuzhi Mountain. The second concubine held the Xiangzhu and cried bitterly, and the tears fell into the bamboo forest. They were crying and crying, and there were tear spots on the bamboo poles. The tear spots were purple, white, and blood-red.

Just because the tears of the second concubine are evenly sprinkled on the Hunan bamboo, the tear stains on the bamboo are like speckled marks, so the Hunan bamboo is also called "spotted bamboo". And because the spotted bamboo is dyed by the tears of the Xiangfei concubine, it is also called the "Xiangfei bamboo".

Shang Jun thought that his father Emperor Shun was filial piety in the name of ignoring all political affairs. After the funeral, Dayu took the initiative to take refuge in "Yangcheng", and he still wanted to give up the throne to Shang Jun.

But the princes of the world did not serve Shang Jun, thinking that he lacked the eloquence of governing the country, and everyone stayed away from Shang Jun to meet Dayu. After many concessions, Shang Jun was still not subject to the imperial throne.

With the support of the princes of the world, Dayu officially became the Son of Heaven three years after the death of Emperor Shun. Dayu took his own fiefdom, the "Anyi" of the Xia Kingdom as the capital, and set the name of the country as "Xia".

Since then, Dayu will "have Xia" as the current dynasty of China, Yu's descendants will call themselves "Xia" "Xia" people, Xia people are called their own family "Xia Hou clan".
