Chapter 5: The Wizard's Tutor
Half a month has passed, the World Cup is over today, the report card of the final exam has already been sent to the house, Wells next door has been taken by his mother to tutor, and he also got the 3rd place in the class, which makes Daisy very happy, and even decided to teach him magic in the summer. Finally, when there is a question about football betting, he insists that he bought it intuitively, and asks Daisy and Jack to keep it a secret, and in the end, the matter has to be settled, Daisy can only think that Seamus may have the prophesied bloodline, and even goes through her own family tree for this.
All this is in the past, and today Daisy decided to teach him magic, but only for one day, because from tomorrow onwards, she will accompany Jack to Paris for a fashion exhibition for about half a month.
"Okay, you hurry up and get ready, you can try it with my wand today, it stands to reason that you should be able to use my wand well, teach you a magic today, and I'll talk about the rest when I get back from Paris." "Daisy was preparing in full swing this morning.
"But am I wasting the rest of my time? Why don't you find me a tutor, like the cram school in Wells next door, and I think with enough money to pay for it, someone will be willing to teach." Seamus asked Daisy as she fiddled with her wand.
"Who's going to teach you? A lot of wizards aren't very Muggle-friendly, and where do you get your money, there's a limit to how pounds can be exchanged for gold gallons, only 100 coins a year, and Gringotts only allows young wizards who go to Hogwarts to do it, and I haven't had any savings over the years. Gringotts is the Muggle bank. Daisy was also thinking about this, after all, she would have more free time if she didn't have to teach herself.
"Daisy, didn't you have any good friends when you were in school, and if any of them didn't mix well, I'm sure they would be willing to make extra money. Naturally, Gringotts has restrictions on exchanging pounds for gold galleons, but I think they will definitely charge gold or gems or something, just exchange the money I earned this time for gold or something, and that's fine. Seamus stretched out his hand and explained to Daisy.
"When you say that, I think of it, when I was at Hogwarts, I had a good friend, I heard that he had always been poor, but I could let him teach you for a while, so I went to contact him, and by the way, let Jack redeem your prize this time, and I won't teach you magic today. Daisy walked away in a hurry, not forgetting to take the wand from his hand.
Seamus wondered in his heart, who would teach him magic, hoping that he wouldn't be an unreliable person, presumably Daisy's best friend should also be from Griffin, and it was better not to be like the Weasley twins, otherwise the process of learning magic could be dangerous. Tell Jack to buy some gold or gems.
......
On the morning of the second day, Daisy walked in with a man with a slightly gray hair, wearing a very crappy robe with several patches on his clothes, and he looked very tired or sick.
"Seamo, come here, I've found you a great teacher. Daisy called Seamus's name as she served tea to her guests.
Seamus hurried down the stairs to see what kind of teacher Daisy had found him, and the man was carrying a suitcase, which looked badly worn, and on which was written a name, R.J. Lupin. Seamus thought to herself, Daisy's skills are really good, and she was able to find such a good teacher, which is Harry Potter's treatment only once in three years.
"Good morning, Daisy, good morning, Professor Lupin. Seamus let go of his thoughts and greeted them.
"Good morning, Seamus, it seems that you have a very keen eye, and besides, I'm not a professor, just call me Remus. Lupin responded with a smile.
"Oh, you two get along very well, so I'm relieved that I'm going to Paris with Jack this afternoon. Lupin was my senior, and I learned a lot from him when I was in school, and you have to listen to him, you know?"
"Okay, Daisy, I don't need you anymore, you can get out of here. Seamus also waved goodbye to her.
After saying that, he sat down next to Lupin, poured himself a cup of tea, and looked at Lupin with the tea, "Then dear Remus, can you tell me what Daisy told you? ”
"Oh, there's nothing that can't be said, she used a hundred gold Galleons a month for me to teach you magic during the summer holidays. Lupin stared at him amusemently.
"Daisy is really stingy, so in this case, two hundred gold Galleons a month, can you please teach me until I go to Hogwarts?"
"You can't just use your family's money, that's not right. Lupin's expression turned serious.
"Don't worry, I earn all the money myself, you don't have to worry about this problem at all. Seamus took out a small box containing several rubies the size of pigeon's eggs.
Just yesterday, after Jack redeemed the prize, Seamus asked him to exchange some of it for these rubies, only a small part, because the prize money redeemed yesterday was a full 570,000 pounds, which is a huge number. Jack and Daisy state that the money will be kept by them until he becomes an adult. Seamus has no problem with this, other than asking for the toy store to be emptied.
"Wow, I don't know how you did it, but there's no doubt that you're a genius at this point. Lupin was amazed by this.
"Thank you for the compliment, but now I want to know how many gold Galleons these gems can be exchanged for at Gringotts. Seamus smiled.
"I don't know, after all, I've never exchanged the gems, and the exact price will have to go to Gringotts to find out. ”
"So how about I go now, as a greeting for me to step into the door of the wizarding world. Seamus suggested on the sidelines.
"I don't think it's a problem, but I'd better ask your mom first. Lupin agreed.
"Daisy, can you give me the key? I'm going to Gringotts with Mr. Lupin. "Seamus is asking for advice.
"Okay, but once you get over there, you have to remember to listen to Remus and don't run around. Daisy agreed to his request.
"Okay, Daisy. He put the key in his pocket and said to Lupin, "So how are we going to get there now, are we going to fly over?"
"It's faster than flying over, but it's not very friendly to first-time experiencers, are you ready, then grab my hand. Lupin held out a hand and said to him.
Seamus grabbed his hand, and the two of them disappeared in place with an explosion-like sound in the air. When Seamus opened his eyes again, there was a somewhat dilapidated tavern in front of him, and he wanted to retch.
Lupin patted him on the back and said, "Are you okay, kid? ”
Seamus had just recovered a little and said to Lupin, "It feels like being squeezed out of a rubber tube, have we arrived?"
"Yes, we've arrived, this Leaky Cauldron is the best way to get to Diagon Alley, you have to go in from here when school starts later, go to Diagon Alley and buy what you need to start school. ”
"Okay, let's step through the doors of the wizarding world together. With the wishes of his previous life and the dreams of this life, Seamus followed Lupin into the door of the Leaky Cauldron.
The light inside was dim, and a few people in robes sat here and there, and Lupin came in and greeted the owner of the bar, "Hi, Tom." ”
"Hello, Remus, long time no see. ”
"yes, long time no see. I'll see you again when I have time. ”
After saying that, he walked into the backyard of the tavern with Seamus, facing a red brick wall, with a wand in his hand, and knocked twice on the wall while saying to him, "This place is the entrance to Diagon Alley, and when you have a wand, you can come and go freely like this." ”
Then, with a clattering sound, the brick he had struck shook and began to move, and a small hole appeared in the middle, and the hole grew larger and larger, and in a short time a wide archway appeared in front of them, leading to a cobbled street that winded and had no end in sight.
"Welcome," Lupin said, "and welcome to Diagon Alley." Seeing Seamus's surprise, Lupin grinned at him. As they walked along the archway, Seamus looked sideways and saw that the archway had suddenly narrowed, and then it had become a solid wall. This scene is the picture he has been dreaming about countless midnight dreams in his childhood in his previous life.
"Alright, you'll have time to see later, now let's go to Gringotts to get the Golden Galleons first, and then buy you a wand. Lupin said.
Seamus's eyes greedily fetched everything in front of him, the broomstick shop in front of him, a little farther away, a few owls hanging in front of an owl shop, and the Ollivanders wand, the Blotted bookstore. At the end of the street, across from him, was where they were going, Gringotts.
They came to the white building, which was tall compared to the other shops, with a gleaming bronze door and dwarf elves standing on either side. It was only now that he truly accepted this beautiful world full of magic.
How many people have ever wanted an owl to bring their own notice when they were 11 years old, and although he didn't have a notice yet, he had really come into contact with the wizarding world.
