In fact, Xu Jun has given up this weapon, and may take out the drawings as a technical reserve, but he will definitely not let the German army equip these chicken ribs. You read it right, Xu Jun regarded these two anti-tank rocket launchers as chicken ribs, and it was a pity to discard them and eat them tastelessly.

Historically, the M1 "Bazooka" rocket launcher was pinned on by the top generals of the US military before it was put into actual combat, and they hoped that American GIs would be able to use this weapon to contain the armor edge of Nazi Germany. But in practice, the performance of this thing can be said to be mixed.

The rocket can penetrate 75 millimeters, or three inches of steel plates, and although the maximum range is 300 yards (about 230 meters), it is difficult to hit long-range targets with it in actual combat, and US military officers are forced to ask soldiers to use this weapon within 30 meters as much as possible, and even then there is a high probability that it will miss the target.

It was able to penetrate the armor shells of most German tanks, but it was not enough to see when encountering the "Tiger" or "Panther", no matter how many "Bazooka" were fired by desperate American soldiers, they could only leave a charred mark on the heavy front armor of the Tiger and Panther.

Compared to the powerful iron fists and armored killers of the German army, Bazooka's armor-piercing ability can only be classified as second-rate. Historically, during the Korean War, when the U.S. troops carrying the M1 "Bazooka" on their backs faced the Soviet-made T34/85 equipped by the North Korean army, they found that they were almost powerless against this Soviet tank. In the end, the U.S. military came up with the 88.9 mm M20 "Super Bazooka" developed in four or five years, and finally suppressed the attack of North Korean tanks.

This M20 bazooka, which is actually the American version of the German "tank killer", did not begin small-scale mass production until 48, only because the American GIs disliked this thing as too cumbersome, so it has not been mass-equipped with troops.

In the opinion of the German Führer, these bazookas did not have any advantages over the "Iron Fist", which had undergone its own refinement.

The effective range of the evolved version of the "Iron Fist" even exceeds that of the "Bazooka" and the "Tank Killer", in fact, the effective range of the Iron Fist has always been calculated by half of the maximum range, and the maximum range of the "Iron Fist" 100 and 150 is more than 300 meters, so much so that the German army has also developed special prefabricated fragmentation sets for them, ready to use them as mortars if necessary.

At the same time, compared to Bazooka's bulky launch tubes, the "Iron Fist" is more convenient for individual soldiers. In the past four or three years in the North African battlefield, a group of US recruits who had just obtained the "Bazooka" fired hundreds of 60-millimeter rockets in the face of German tanks, but they did not get a real and credible record, on the contrary, under the guns of the German Tiger tanks, the US troops in North Africa were defeated.

By the time the U.S. military really learned how to use the weapon on the battlefield, the war was almost over, and a few years later, American soldiers rushed to North Korea's T34 tank army with 60 mm bazooka with the pride of victory in World War II.

The anti-tank bazooka during World War II also had another reason for Xu Jun to give up, that is, when using it, two people had to cooperate in operation, a shooter and a secondary shooter who also served as a loader, the former was responsible for aiming and shooting, and the latter was responsible for loading ammunition and target designation, and at the same time, after the main shooter was killed or wounded, he took over the work of the other party to continue the attack.

It is about the same as the effective range of the Iron Fist, but it has to take up two establishments, which is a complete waste in Xu Jun's opinion, and he might as well give each of the German soldiers an Iron Fist, thinking that the tankers of the Soviet Red Army shivered under the rain of "rugby" that covered the sky, and the personal taste of the German Führer was greatly satisfied.

In history, the RPG, the direct descendant of the "Iron Fist", has been passed down for dozens of generations, but the "Bazooka" only ended up being beheaded, which is not unreasonable, and the US military as a user knows the defects of this thing best, so it has never been equipped with similar anti-tank rocket launchers in the army, but turned around to engage in anti-tank missiles with a longer range and more accurate shots.

The M72 is different from Bazooka, it is a single-soldier disposable bazooka, except for the different launch methods, it is actually the old path of "iron fist".

The armor-piercing ability of the German armored killer is only 200 mm, but it is quite troublesome to operate or carry, because the rocket does not run out of fuel after the propulsion is discharged, and the tail tube will spew out a long flame, so it is necessary to install a metal baffle to protect the shooter on the launch canister, and at the same time, the shooter must wear a special leather fireproof vest and a gas mask on his head to avoid the damage of flames and toxic gases.

Xu Jun would never let the Germans carry this thing to the front line, even if it had amazing power. In the same way, the German army will no longer be equipped with the magnetic anti-tank grenades that they used in history, and the guys who invented this thing are simply disregarding human life. It requires the German soldier to rush to the enemy tank, then attach the grenade with a magnet to the tank shell, and then pull the fire string on the tail of the grenade, and the German soldier must run out of the 10-meter kill range within the 7.5 second delay time, otherwise prepare to bury the target.

There was also the aforementioned Type 41 anti-tank grenade, which weighed two kilograms, but the armor-piercing thickness was only thirty millimeters, and often because of the angle, it was impossible to activate the bump fuse carried on it, and no German soldier wanted to use this garbage.

The German Führer was not ready to equip his soldiers with any anti-tank grenades, which were not as useful on the Eastern Front as the "Foreign Minister's Special Drink". Not to mention that the Germans were not creative, the German army has developed a large number of improvised anti-tank weapons in history, such as large incendiary bombs made of hand grenades and portable fuel tanks, and anti-tank mines converted from artillery warheads, which are common in Iraq in later generations (IED (roadside bombs).

Of course, Xu Jun will not leave out this weapon, especially when he has already defined the German strategy as a defensive counterattack, and mines are the best weapon to hinder the battlefield maneuver of Soviet troops.

Historically, the German army has a wide variety of mine models, which has seriously dispersed Germany's resources and productivity, Xu Jun is determined to change this chaos, he is ready to establish a technical standard for German mines, all German mines must be manufactured in accordance with the standard, which can not only reduce the consumption and waste of materials, but also liberate more skilled workers.

The German Army's Type 42 anti-tank mine is a classic design, and many countries are still copying the structure of this mine until the 21st century. Xu Jun was not prepared to make any changes to this anti-tank mine, and directly threw out the drawings and put them into mass production.

In addition to the Type 42, which should now be called the Type 40 anti-tank mine, he does not plan to produce other models of similar products, because these mines are actually almost the same in terms of power, and a bunch of mines with completely different structures, fuses and charges not only artificially increase the workload of the logistics and transportation departments, but also put a lot of pressure on the sappers who use these mines.

Anti-tank mines, even if they do not completely destroy enemy tanks, are enough to cut off the tracks of tanks, and if combined with long-range anti-tank fire, then it is often possible to annihilate an entire army convoy.

Mines are very suitable for creating ambush circles, so the weight must be controlled within the range that individual soldiers can carry, in this regard, the Type 42 is well designed, its total weight is 9.5 kilograms, and the mine shell is also welded with iron handles, if you use a special back frame, a strong German infantryman can carry five Type 42 anti-tank mines on foot at a time.

The mine contained five kilograms of explosives, enough to destroy the chassis of most Soviet tanks. At the same time, it also has spare letter tube holes on the side and bottom, which can be installed with a pressure-firing fuse, which will be instantly detonated once the mine body is moved, which is a gift for the enemy's sappers, which will greatly increase the difficulty of the opponent's demining.
