Chapter 391: Selfishness First and then Selflessness

This was Zhuangzi's first public preaching, and after more than ten days of preaching, it can be seen that it was very successful.

In order not to delay those who listen to the sermon, not to delay the peasants to farm, and not to delay the normal life of all walks of life. From the eighth day onwards, he preached only at night and did not preach publicly during the day. During the day, only a small stove is opened for a few people, for example, a small stove is opened for the sister-in-law's wife, a small stove is opened for the friends of the sister-in-law, and a small stove is opened for those who have heads and faces in Qiyuan Town.

In the evening, he preached from the dark of day for two or three hours, without disturbing the normal rest of the people.

Zhuangzi preached, different from Master Yang Zhu. At that time, Master Yang Zhu preached, focusing on his theory of "not pulling out a hair". And Zhuangzi, he preached the Tao first, and what was the Tao. Then he talked about the relationship between man and all things, said that man and all things come from the Tao, and talked about the difference between man and other species. At last! Start talking about people.

The focus of Zhuangzi's sermons is on the individual person, the relationship between the individual person and the family, and mainly on the family relationship between parents and children. Then we will talk about the relationship between an individual person and his family members, and the relationship between a person and his parents, siblings, elders, and children's descendants. Then it leads to the relationship between the family, from the family to the family, and then from the family to the relationship with the people around you.

Use the analogy of comparing hearts to hearts to tell the world that others are the same as you, that you have the affection between parents and children, and that others also have this kind of affection. So! You should respect other people's parents and elders, and cherish other people's children and descendants, and do not distinguish between each other. If you don't respect or cherish others, they will treat you like that. If so, the society will be in chaos.

After explaining the root of chaos, Zhuangzi began to talk about how to protect one's parents, elders, siblings, and people around him if he protects himself.

First of all! You have to protect yourself first! Only if you are alive can you take care of your parents, elders, siblings, and those around you.

Living for yourself, this number of paths is consistent with Yang Zhu's paths. Zhuangzi inherited Yang Zhu's theory, rebirth and self-rebirth.

But! There are exceptions.

Zhuangzi believes that it is oneself that can help others by surviving, rather than becoming a burden or burden to others. Being born again, regaining oneself means that oneself is more useful in surviving and can help others. It is in this situation that one is reborn and re-owned, not greedy for life and afraid of death, and not only concerned about oneself and ignoring others.

"For example: me, my parents, my wife, my children, we are a family. When our family is in danger, when only one person can survive. Whoever is in front, who is most likely to survive, can only be who, even if this person is our youngest child, he doesn't know if he can survive in the future, and the opportunity must be given to him. Now! Because he was lucky, he survived.

When our family is in danger, when we can survive alone by helping each other as a family, if I feel that it is more valuable for me to survive, then! Let's not push, we have to take the initiative to ask for everyone to help me survive.

For example, we face vendettas, where someone else kills us for no reason. At this point, I had to survive. Because I'm young, I've survived, and I can take revenge. And even if my father and mother survive, they will not be able to take revenge. Our children are young, and they have no revenge. Even if they survive temporarily, they will still be killed by others. My wife doesn't know martial arts, and she can't take revenge.

In other words, whoever has the most value to survive will be allowed to survive.

Don't be emotional, be sensible!

If! Faced with this situation, two or three people can survive. What shall we do? The same is true, whoever has the most value to survive will be allowed to survive.

Reborn instead of greedy! Respect yourself instead of yourself!

(Zhuangzi emphasizes this point, because people in the world generally like dogma, extreme-end thinking, either/or, white or black.) )

But! In this case, it's a different story. For example! We are a group of strangers, what if there is a danger and only one person can escape, or several people escape? They are not our family, they are strangers, what to do? ”

At this point, everyone held their breath and listened quietly, waiting for Zhuangzi to continue.

"Lucky! This time it's about luck! The same is true for helping those who can escape. When we have the ability to escape, we have to escape on our own. When we need everyone's help to escape, we can only regret it, and try to give the opportunity to others, to those who are most valuable, to children and pregnant women......"

After talking about rebirth and self-rebirth, Zhuangzi began to talk about how to avoid danger.

"Some dangers are visible, some are preventable, and some are predictable......

Zhuangzi talks about "rebirth" and "self-regeneration", and believes that rebirth and self-regeneration are humane and the instinct of human nature, which is the so-called "human nature". It is precisely because of the importance of oneself and oneself that so! How selfish human nature is.

The selfishness of human nature is a fact that we must face!

But! In order to be able to live better, we must cooperate with others, and we must be selfless.

So! Selflessness is the means, selfishness is the end!

Zhuangzi divides society into individuals, and then! He also analyzes human nature as selfishness. Right now! He's going to have a consolidation, and he's starting to talk about selflessness.

Zhuangzi thinks: Our parents are the most selfless, though! Their selflessness is also for the sake of selfishness, and if they are not selfish, they will not be selfless.

Our mothers, in particular, are the most selfless. Of course! Their selfless purpose is also selfish. It is the nature of women to have children, and this nature is also a kind of how. It is also to have a reliance, carrying their hope for the future, waiting, which is their selfishness. Because they are selfish, they are selfless, and they work hard to raise us.

And then! It's our father, just as selfishly. If they weren't selfish, they wouldn't have given birth to us. They have a purpose for giving birth to our offspring. As for what the purpose is, there is no need to analyze. Anyway! The purpose is selfishly! But! They are also selfless, they raised us, they raised us with their mothers!

Because they are selfish, they are selfless, they work hard and raise us.

We are people, so! We are also selfishly! So! Let us not be deceived by the selflessness of our parents and elders. We must see the selfish motives of our parents and elders. If it's hello, hello, hello everyone, then! Let's work together!

Zhuangzi believes that although parents are also selfish, but! They were the first people to be selfless to us. And! They are more selfless than selfish to us. It's selfishness first, and then! Use selflessness as a means to achieve selfish goals in the end. So! Parents are worthy of our trust! So! We also have to be selfish first, and then! Use selflessness as a means to achieve selfish goals in the end.

The cooperation between people is like this: first there is selfishness, and then! Selflessness as a means. At last! Achieve selfish ends.

This is the kind of relationship we have with our parents, elders, and family members.

This is also the relationship between us and the people around us.

This is also the relationship between us and this society.

What are our selfish purposes? Zhuangzi said: We can only live in order to complete the life process of this life as a human being given to us by the Tao.
