Suddenly, he felt as if his heart was quietly opening and merging into the scriptures: If there are countless and infinite beings who have been destroyed, and there are no beings who have attained the degree of destruction, why is that? Subodhi! If a bodhisattva has the appearance of self, the appearance of people, the appearance of sentient beings, and the appearance of the long-lived, he is not a bodhisattva......

The so-called self-appearance is to despise others by virtue of property, learning, and status; The so-called human appearance, although they practice benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom and faith, but they are proud and conceited with this as capital, and despise ordinary people; The so-called sentient beings take good things into their own arms and push bad things to others; And those who take their own likes and dislikes as the criterion to choose between them are the longevity of the people.

Those who have these four phases are, of course, ordinary people, not bodhisattvas!

…… Su Bodhi, what is the meaning of the clouds, can you see each other as you come? No, World-Honored One, you can't see it in your own form. Why? As it is said, the physiognomy is not the physiognomy. The Buddha told Subodhi: All appearances are false. If you see things that are not like each other, you see them as they are......

Huineng jumped in his mind and body, and couldn't help but think of his father's death, his mother's illness, the immortality of Tianlu Dao, and the mountain peaks standing tall. All this is nothing but a vanity! How, then, can we see through the illusion that we are not what is not?

…… Therefore, the Bodhisattvas and Mahasattvas should give birth to a pure mind, not to dwell on the color of the mind, not to dwell on the sound, incense, taste, touch, and Dharma to give birth to the mind, and to give birth to the mind without dwelling......

"You should have no place to live and give birth to your heart!"

This sound, as if from the center of the universe, is a call; This sound is like a murmur from the depths of the soul; He seemed to have been looking forward to this sound for a long, long time, as if he had been waiting for it since he was born...... It was as if he had suddenly received a strong electric shock, stunned, stunned, stupidβ€”and yet he could clearly feel a breath shoot up his articular spine, through his brain, out of his skull, and merge with the sound he had longed for for millions of years......

He had mixed feelings, tears streaming down his face, and his body couldn't help but tremble slightly......

The expression on Huineng's face is changing dramatically! His heart was indescribably excited, filled with great joy. It was as if there was a warm current of life, gushing out from the depths of his soul, moisturizing every joint, every inch of skin, and every pore of his body......

The wonderful use of the mind that he had realized in his life and work, all of which were organically connected and integrated. It feels so good to be open-minded. He felt that he was like a cloud, floating freely in the sky, and like returning to his childhood, lying in his mother's warm embrace and listening to his mother's loving humming. Infinite happiness and infinite light delighted his body and mind, and the world became so beautiful, so harmonious and clear in his eyes. Through the roof, he seemed to see a few wisps of white clouds fluttering in the blue sky; Through the wall, a green mountain in the distance is as faint as smoke; The grassy fields seem to be close at hand, the nameless wildflowers are swaying in the breeze, and even every movement of the small trees is the most graceful dance......

…… Do not take the phase, such as not moving. Why? Everything has a way of doing things, like a dream bubble, like dew and electricity, and should be viewed as such.

Listen, listen, Hui Neng seems to be led into the hall of the Buddha by the Zen Master of the Silent Sky, and there is a brilliant light and colorful auspicious clouds in front of him.

After explaining the meaning of the Diamond Sutra, Master Shankong gently closed the sutra and held it on his forehead with both hands.

Huineng was very envious and couldn't help but say to himself: "The Diamond Sutra ...... It should have no place to live and its heart should be born...... Huang Mei ...... Five Ancestors Hongren ......"

Master Shankong said, "Young man, are you interested in the Dharma? ”

Huineng nodded: "I just heard you explain the Diamond Sutra, and my heart suddenly brightened, as if I had opened my mind." Huineng didn't believe it, and said, "No, I don't know anything about Buddhism, I haven't entered a school, and I'm a poor firewood ......."

Zen Master Shankong interrupted him: "There is no distinction between high and low, only the difference between wisdom and roots. My Buddha said that all sentient beings have Buddha nature, that all beings are equal before the Dharma, and that all sentient beings are equal. Even small insects and birds can attain the Tao, let alone you. I see that you are smart and very good-rooted, if you can go to Huangmei Dongshan Temple to worship the five ancestors Hongren as a teacher, go deep into Buddhism, and participate in Zen enlightenment, you will definitely have great achievements. ”

Hui Neng was very excited and happy to hear what Zen Master Silent Sky said, but then he fell into deep thought again, looking extremely distressed, and couldn't help but sigh melancholy.

Zen Master Lonely asked with concern, "Young man, is there anything in your heart that you can't let go?" ”

Huineng said: "My father died very early, and only me and my mother depended on each other. My family is poor, so I can only rely on selling firewood to make a living. I don't have any rice to eat a day without firewood, and my mother can't do without me. ”

"Young man, in my opinion, it's not that your mother can't do without you, it's that you can't do without your mother. You are afraid of leaving your mother from the bottom of your heart, and you are afraid of losing your mother's love! Hui Neng was stunned, and after thinking about it, the words of Zen Master Lonely Sky were very reasonable.

"Young people should do whatever it takes to pursue the road of life and the truth of the universe!"

After listening to the explanation of the Zen Master of Silence, Huineng sighed a lot: "Ah, if I can go to Dongchan Temple and listen to the teachings of the five ancestors with my own ears, it would be great!"

Zen Master Shankong said sincerely: "I see that you have extraordinary Buddha roots, and if you are committed to Buddha, you will achieve positive results in the future." ”

Huineng led his neck and asked, "Master, is there a lie?"

Zen Master Silent Sky said sincerely: "The old man believes that his old eyes are not dimmed, and your prospects, I only draw them based on my own feelings. As the meaning of the Vajra Prajnaparamita Sutra says, everything in the world has no self-nature, and it is empty and unreal, so one should have no attachment to the real world. If you really have the ambition to Buddhism and go north to participate in Zen, our Jintai Temple can sponsor you Panchuan. ”
