Battle of 678 Xiaolou
A shell that suddenly fell startled the German trio, who had forgotten that they had called for artillery fire.
One after another, the shells fell, and at once the entire square in the distance was dusty.
With the explosion of cannonballs in the distance, the three people upstairs finally had their own movements.
Chris quickly got up from his hiding place and made his rifle to the staircase.
And Buck Daddy also helped Chris block the staircase with his own weapon and was ready for battle.
Carrying his walkie-talkie, Antenna Shirek re-mounted his weapon, then removed a grenade from his tactical vest and prepared to throw.
If they hadn't taken advantage of this round of shelling to clean up the Soviet troops downstairs, they probably wouldn't have had a second chance to struggle.
The three of them glanced at each other, then nodded, made a tactical formation at the top of the staircase, and blocked the way up.
At the front of the staircase, Ciric pulled out the fuse on the grenade, and as soon as he let go, he threw the grenade down the stairs to the first floor.
The grenade rolled down the stairs because of its time-delay fuse. They all knew in their hearts that after the explosion, there was a high chance that the entire staircase would collapse.
After all, this is a half-destroyed building, and any explosion could destroy the load-bearing structure here, leading to a series of collapses.
But without the use of grenades, it is definitely not easy to kill those Soviet soldiers downstairs.
So, risking their lives, they also need grenades to open the situation, betting on the result of a staircase and the structure of the building not collapsing.
"Boom!" In the distant explosion, the building here was also blown up by this grenade in a puff of smoke and dust.
The shock wave stirred through the building, and shrapnel flew and destroyed the world. Three German soldiers squinted their eyes and rushed down the stairs with their weapons in hand.
Chris with a G43 rifle took the lead, he was the first to rush down the stairs, followed by Daddy Buck, and Ciric, with an STG-44 assault rifle, walked at the rear.
“!” Seeing a figure in the billowing dust, Chris pulled the trigger without hesitation.
Bullets swayed into the smoke and dust, followed by a scream. The Soviets, apparently, had not yet come to their senses, and they thought that it was a shell that hit where they were.
The confusion continued, and by the time another Soviet soldier struggled to his feet, Chris had a gun to his head.
“!” Before the other party could shout, the bullet pierced the opponent's head. The other party opened his eyes and fell slowly unwillingly.
"Don't shoot!" The Soviets over there thought it was their own people in the confusion and fired indiscriminately, and some people shouted loudly.
But apparently the shooter didn't intend to stop, and Daddy pulled his own trigger at the sound of shouting.
“!” “!” Two gunshots rang out at the same time, and Chris and Buck opened fire together, hitting the Soviet soldiers in the distance at the same time.
There were more people in the room than they had expected, about seventeen or eighteen, and although many of them had been killed by the grenades, there were also many who were still alive.
If it had been before, Chris was holding a bolted Mauser 98K sniper rifle, he might have only been able to fire one bullet by now.
However, he was holding a semi-automatic G43 rifle in his hand, so the firing rate was obviously higher.
With a higher rate of fire, there is naturally capital to deal with more enemies. The more powerful STG-44 assault rifle behind them had not yet been fired, and they were almost in control.
This is good news for Chris and Buck, who are in the front, because the two of them are more likely to be suppressed by the other.
"Whoa!" The two of them walked in front, but there was a loud noise behind them. More dust rose all at once, forcing everyone to cover their eyes.
The staircase still collapsed, and after all kinds of calamities, it finally collapsed overwhelmed, and collapsed along with poor Ciric.
"Hell!" Daddy Buck covered his eyes, he could tell that the stairs had collapsed, and he knew that Ciric was still on it, so he complained loudly.
More dust made it difficult to aim and continue firing, and the Soviets didn't seem to have figured out what was going on, and they didn't mean to shoot indiscriminately.
Because there were more of them in the room, the indiscriminate firing would largely hit and injure their comrades.
However, Daddy Barker's complaint still made a few Soviet soldiers in the room hear the real German words, and they realized that it was not the shell attack but the indiscriminate fire of their own people.
"Germans! German! The Soviet soldiers shouted frantically, alerting their companions that there was a crowd of uninvited guests in the house.
Daddy also realized that his curse had reminded the Soviets, and it was too late to be annoyed.
“!” “!” In response to the shouting, Chris and Buck each fired another shot. I don't know if I hit or not, because the dust is rolling, and no one can really aim.
Chris didn't hesitate at all, relying on his weapon to fire more and fire consistently.
He shot one shot after another, pouring all the remaining bullets from the magazine into the direction of the shouting in one breath, before squinting his eyes and feeling for the magazine bag at his waist.
He was not yet very proficient in the construction of the G43 rifle, so he had to fumble around to replace his magazine.
But fortunately, there was plenty of time, and the other side still didn't shoot, and the other party didn't know where the Germans were, so they didn't dare to shoot indiscriminately.
However, it was not difficult for these Soviet soldiers to seize the opportunity to take advantage of the lack of sight and fumble into a corner and wait for the sight to be restored.
By now, they should have leaned against the wall, carefully observing the smoke-filled area, ready to open fire on the enemy they saw.
As for how many enemies are left, and what happened to Ciric lying on the collapsed staircase, neither Chris nor Buck know.
Things seem to be getting worse and worse for them, and if they don't clean up the room as soon as possible, death awaits them.
The distant cannon fire was nearing its end, and the cover of the sound was about to disappear completely. If the Soviet troops around the square heard the sounds of the battle here, they would also rush over like a tidal wave.
Chris slipped a new magazine into his rifle and, in the dim mist, reached close to the wall.
