The Oda Nobuhide lineage, commonly known as the "Oda Danmasa Tadashi family", was started by Oda Nobuhide's father, Oda Nobutasa, and was originally a retainer of the Oda Yamato Moriya (Kiyosu Oda clan). Soon, Oda Nobuhide pretended to be sick one day, and then used this to summon his retainers from Katsuhata Castle and secretly set fire to Nakono Castle to cause chaos. Imagawa's Feng grass bag was so frightened that he abandoned the city and ran all the way to Kyoto.

Oda Nobuhide can be said to have captured Nakono Castle without bloodshed, and since then the rise of the Katsuhata Oda family has begun.

On the one hand, Oda Nobuhide arranged his younger brother Oda Nobumitsu and other members of the family and confidants in various key passes of Owari, and built a position that overwhelmed other forces in Owari, and in essence became an independent force.
