The data obtained from archaeological drilling around the Mausoleum of Qin Shi Huang show that the periphery of the upper entrance of the underground palace and the tomb road leading to the underground palace have not yet found a robbery hole that is sufficient to lead to the underground palace.

The biggest bravado of tomb robbers is the famous Cao Cao during the Three Kingdoms. Now the well-known "Touching Gold Captain" is the official position established by Cao Cao in the army back then, and in layman's terms, he is the director of the tomb robbery office, who specializes in robbing and digging tombs to replenish military salaries. During the excavation of the tomb of King Xiao of Liang, Cao Cao also personally commanded the scene. In the Tang Dynasty, tomb robbery was still rampant. In the era of Tang Zhaozong, his father Tang Yizong was buried for less than 30 years, but the mausoleum was still stolen.

They are also good at cracking mechanisms, good at using all kinds of strange tools, and even use birds and beasts to help rob tombs, after the appearance of gunpowder, they invented blasting operations, so that the kind of ancient tombs with heavy mechanisms can be successfully "cleared", and a large number of gold and silver treasures have been collected.
