Chapter 36: Letter from Home
It's been two weeks since the start of school, today is the weekend, it's past six o'clock, and the morning sun hasn't shone in yet.
As soon as the horizon turned white, Seamus sat up from the bed, rubbing his eyes and fumbling with his clothes.
He slept fairly well last night, as practicing magic in the Room of Requirement had taken a lot of energy, and he fell asleep as soon as he dipped his head into the pillow.
It was too early for the morning to dawn, and Harry, Ron, and Dean hadn't gotten up yet, and were asleep.
Seamus took out his wand from under his pillow "Fluorescent Flash", the tip of the wand emitted a misty white light, he could already switch between the "Flash Charm" and the "Fluorescent Charm" at will, and the sun would not appear in the bedroom because of a momentary mistake.
Through the hazy white light, he looked at the mechanical watch at the bedside, six o'clock, which was probably the earliest time he got up in the past few days.
There was no other reason, but because it was agreed with his family that he would write letters every two weeks, and writing a letter a week was too frequent, and Seamus didn't want to spend a lot of time writing letters.
What's more, boys go out to the rivers and lakes, they don't love home so much, they rarely think about going home to rest, they just want to use their dreams as a pen to write their lives.
Today is the day of correspondence, and presumably the letter from home will be delivered at breakfast today.
I don't know how Lupin is playing outside, how many stories he has experienced, how many legends he has written, and I am still waiting for him to share.
Seamus lay back in bed, his eyes open and thinking about these things, waiting for breakfast time to come.
But when he woke up, he couldn't sleep, and after grinding for a while, Seamus still put on his clothes and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.
The warmth at Hogwarts is still very good, and even though the temperature is not high today, the room is still warm.
Sitting next to the window, a layer of mist condensed on the glass, wiping off the fog on it, the weather outside was very nice.
A fiery red morning glow is rising, a little dazzling light has just broken through the horizon, there are few clouds in the sky, it seems that today is a good day.
Thanks to the remoteness of the magical world, the sky seen here is very clean, and the azure is fading little by little, sweeping away countless stars.
He sat here and watched the whole sunrise, a scene far more beautiful than he had ever come to in his previous life.
In his previous life, the sky he saw as an adult was gray most of the time, and only occasionally climbed to the top of a high mountain could he see a shocking sunrise like this.
It was already seven o'clock, and the elves should have prepared breakfast, and the clothes he had changed yesterday appeared on the bedside table out of thin air.
To be honest, thanks to the hard work of the house-elves, the lives of Hogwarts teachers and students are very comfortable. It can be called a cloth to reach out, food to open your mouth, basically everything you can do without yourself, the house-elves will help you settle it.
Including but not limited to cooking, laundry, cleaning, etc., you don't need to worry about it yourself, just more than 100 house-elves, you can handle everything perfectly.
He pushed open the window, and a dry cold wind blew in his face, blowing his whole body, and the slight drowsiness he had just felt suddenly disappeared without a trace.
Closing the window to avoid a cold from his roommates who were still sleeping, he got up and went into the bathroom to brush his teeth and face, and began his life today.
The auditorium was deserted, and students on weekends would always wake up later than usual, and the school knew about this and pushed back breakfast by an hour.
Hogwarts is like a typical compulsory teaching institution, where you don't even have to pay for food.
I don't know if the house-elves at Hogwarts have learned a skill that will always have food from all over the world on the table.
So you can always see a scene where some people are flocking to a food and others are desperate for it to disappear.
This is a typical "your honey, his arsenic", this morning Seamo also decided to change the taste, although he still retains the eating habits of his previous life, but it does not mean that he has to eat soy milk fritters every day.
The morning recipe is not as hearty as lunch or dinner, but it still takes care of some meat-eaters, with large pieces of stew, creamy soup, and other things that are not suitable for the morning.
Seamus took a large piece of grilled lamb chops and ate several pieces of bread with garlic, and at this time there were more people in the auditorium.
The owls also began to work, and flew in one after another, one of the owls straight towards Seamus.
Seamus recognized it as Daisy's owl, called "Shaq", because it was gray on the top of its head and back, and its belly was snow-white, hence the name Shark.
As soon as it landed on the table, Shaq picked up a piece of meat and tore it desperately, as if he had just been hungry for a few days.
Seamus removed the letter it had brought from his lap, it had been sent by Daisy, and it was quite thick inside, and it felt several pages to the touch.
He opened the letter and Daisy and Jack told him about the situation at home, that everything was fine, and asked him how he was doing at Hogwarts.
Hearing that Hagrid is helping him find a large flying pet, they have also put bounties on various places to find a suitable pet.
And asked him if he needed to buy an owl first, so that they could keep it together when the time came.
In the end, they just hope that he is okay at school, they are not worried about Seamo's studies, they just want him to be happy.
The letter also included several photos, the moving kind, all of which looked like various flying pets, Daisy found so many suitable conditions with the help of the bounty, hoping that he could choose one of these.
There is no shortage of powerful magical animals inside, not only normal things like thunderbirds and two-headed firefinch, but even a picture of a volcanic bat inside, a creature that can grow up to the size of a football field, and I don't know what Daisy thinks and where the bounty is.
After reading the letter written by his parents, Seamus decided to reply to them now, only to find that by this time, Shaq had long since disappeared, and the flesh he had just picked up and torn had disappeared without a trace.
It seems that he left after eating, and he didn't think about taking him away at all, and Seamus could only find another owl.
He picked up the envelope he had just opened and stuffed the photo and letter back for keeping. In such an age of slow communication, it is worthwhile to keep correspondence.
He was going to return to the common room first, and after writing a reply, he would go to the owl "April Snow Mountain" from last time and ask it to help deliver a letter.
But at this moment, another owl carried a package and rushed straight towards Seamus.
