If you want to know the Buddha-nature in your heart, you have to start by knowing the beings in your heart. Because sentient beings don't know the Buddha, it's not that the Buddha doesn't know sentient beings. If you are enlightened by your own nature, then all beings are Buddhas. If one's nature is foolish, then the Buddha is a sentient being. Self-nature is equal, and all beings are Buddhas. The Buddha is a sentient being. There is already a Buddha in one's heart, and the Buddha in one's heart is the real Buddha. Outside of itself, there is nothing worth pursuing. This is because all external appearances arise from the original mind of the self. Therefore, the scriptures say: The mind gives birth to all kinds of laws, and the mind destroys all kinds of laws. “

You must know that it doesn't seem like the work of my Huineng's disciples, nor does it conform to the Dharma of Nyorai. It is necessary to know one's own nature, so that there can be no movement, no stillness, no birth, no death, no going, no beginning, no nothing, no dwelling, no going. I fear that you will be confused, so I will ask you again today. After I am destroyed, you will practice according to my teachings, as I did when I was still alive. He then gave a detailed lecture on the principles of Buddhism and Zen Mechanics.

"A generation of grandmasters died out suddenly. Then a white rainbow rose to the sky, dazzling eyes, reaching the firmament, and heading towards the south of Guoen Temple.
After the dazzling white light, the monks felt that the earth was strange and the sky was strange.
For a time, the wind broke the trees, and the torrential rain was pouring.
The disciples were shocked that the Zen platform where the Sixth Ancestor Huineng was originally sitting was empty.
"Where's Master?" The disciples talked a lot, hurriedly walked out of the Guoen Temple, braved the pouring rain, and went around to look for it.
The four fields are vast, thunder and lightning are combined, and the occasional lightning cuts through the air, illuminating the earth in a miserable white, but you can't see the body of the sixth ancestor Huineng.
The god would point to that side: "There's a strange white rainbow over there, we might as well go there and look for it." ”

Some disciples searched for the past in the direction where the white light was rushing, and walked about five miles, and saw a mountain pit with white light shining, they hurriedly stepped forward, and saw that where the white light started, the sixth ancestor Hui Neng was sitting on a boulder, with a dignified appearance, a peaceful face, slightly closed eyes, and his hands folded, as if he was alive.
The Divine Society hurriedly ran over with the brothers and sisters, and shouted loudly: "Master, Master!"
The Sixth Ancestor Hui Neng did not reply.
The apprentices pushed him with their hands and shouted, "Master, wake up!" Master, wake up!"
Sixth Ancestor Huineng still didn't wake up with his eyes closed.
The apprentices put their hands under the nostrils of the Sixth Ancestor Huineng and tried to breathe, and at this time, there was no trace of breath in his nostrils.
The god would use his ears to press his ear to the chest of the six ancestors, hold his breath, listen carefully to the chest sound, it was quiet, and there was no even an extremely slight sound, and said, "Ah, the master has passed away." ”
