Chapter 846: Fifty-four Grades

The Buddha told the Guangyan boy: Thou shalt ask for a disease.

Guangyan White Buddha said: World-honored! I can't afford to ask questions, so what?

Now it's the turn of the Bodhisattva of Guangyan Boy to appear, the boy is not necessarily a child, the Bodhisattva has practiced to the realm of the eighth place of immobility, all of them are called children, which means that there is no leakage.

The opening remarks are the same, Guangyan Tongzi has turned down the mission to visit the sick, what reason does he have?

Remembering my old days, when I left the great city of Vimalay, and entered the city, I asked him as a salute, "Where did the laymen come from?"

Answer to me: I came from the dojo.

I asked, "What is a dojo?"

Answer: Straight heart is a dojo, and there is no falsehood.

He said, "Remembering my old days, he went out of the great city of Vimalay. ”

There is an important point in this sentence, Viyali Ayutthaya is the place where the Vimal monks lived, and according to the Buddhist scriptures, it was a socially stable, economically prosperous region, politically free, democratic, and equal, and a place where good people lived.

Like us, the boy likes to go around the dojo, and he is about to leave the big city of Viya, probably because he thinks the city is too noisy, and he wants to find a clean dojo.

At that time, Vimal was about to enter the city, and one of them was about to leave the bustle to find cleanliness, and the other was about to enter the bustling place.

The boy bowed to the monk Vimo and asked, "Where did the monk come from?" ”

As I said before, it is not easy to be called a layman, but it is enough to be a lay bodhisattva who has wealth and virtue.

Vimal replied, "I'm from the ashram." He knew that the boy was going to find the dojo.

The boy asked, "What is the dojo?" What makes it a dojo? ”

He replied, "Straight heart is a dojo, and there is no false reason." ”

As soon as he opened his mouth, Vimo came over with a stick, where else do you want to find a dojo? It's in your heart! There is no distinction between cleansing troubles! It's all your own mind that's playing tricks. In contrast to the straight heart is the crooked heart that we all have, the heart that likes to turn. For example, if we laugh before talking to others, this mental action is flattery, flattery, and we are afraid that people will not like to listen to it, so we give people a smile first, and it is a habit of sentient beings to make it naturally.

Of course, it's not that it's wrong to laugh, it's an example. It's hard to be straight-hearted, and it doesn't mean that if you want to scold someone, you can beat someone if you want to hit someone.

The so-called straight-minded person is mindless, and without mind, thoughtlessness, and without any consciousness is the dojo. In other words, the distinction that is directly used by the king of the heart, without consciousness, is the dojo, and there is no hypocrisy in the heart.

"The issuance is a dojo, and it can handle accidents." Issuance is to let the mind cultivate all good deeds, when our first thought is to do a good deed, and the heart is moved to constitute the act of issuance.

Issuance is a dojo, direct to the heart, do all good, is the dojo, because it can do things.

Don't let go of everything after learning Buddhism, leave your family and society, and find a pure place to practice in a temple, then there is no compassion.

To study Buddhism is to save all sentient beings, isn't your family sentient beings? Can you get it?

If your family can't afford it, who else do you want to save it?

I often say that the desire to save sentient beings is the result of being saved by sentient beings, and there are too many such situations.

What is a genuine deed? If you can do things, you can do things for all sentient beings.

"The deep heart is the dojo, and the merit is gained." It is very difficult to have a deep heart, and as I have already talked about in the past, you should recite the verses made by Ananda in the "Lengyan Sutra" in the morning and evening: "If you dedicate this deep heart to the dust, it is called repaying the Buddha's grace." "But ordinary people are very superficial in their intentions, and only when great wisdom is achieved can they have a deep heart.

For example, people think that it is difficult to understand only knowledge, but it is a profound analysis of the role of the mind and the physical appearance of the mind.

Where is the heart? The heart is not the heart, the mind is not the heart, you can't find the heart that can really think and act, this heart king is unknowable, Zen Buddhism explains the mind, you can't see it.

If you really understand the deep heart, this is the dojo, because with the deep heart, you can cultivate all the Dharma and gain merit.

Don't think that donating money is to be complacent about doing some good deeds, it is really difficult to do great good deeds with wisdom!

Sometimes helping a person thinks it is a good deed, but it turns out to be a bad deed; Sometimes not helping a person may seem like a bad thing, but it is a good thing.

This treatment depends on deep heart, so deep heart is the achievement of wisdom.

The dojo is not tangible, and it is not only the temple that is the dojo.

"Bodhichitta is a dharma, and there is no mistake or error." To study Buddhism is to develop bodhicitta and bodhicitta is to be enlightened, to be able to see the nature of the mind and to be enlightened.

Bodhichitta is also great compassion and love for all people. Therefore, bodhicitta is based on great compassion and seeing the path is bodhi, which is the dual fortune of compassion and wisdom, and the achievement of great compassion and great wisdom. Only when bodhichitta is truly developed can there be no false notions.
