Chapter 819: Twenty-Seven Grades
Those who give it have no great blessings, no small blessings, no benefits or losses, they are just entering the Buddha's path, not according to the sound. Kasya! If it is food, it is a charity that does not empty cannibalism.
When receiving alms, there is no distinction in the mind about which one will receive great blessings and which one will receive small blessings, and who will provide more and who will provide less, and there is no utilitarian thought, so it is not the Hinayana Buddhist path.
In this way, we must live up to the generosity of others. Therefore, Chinese Buddhism has a first son:
A grain of rice in Buddhism is as big as Mount Meru.
I can't do it in this life, and I still wear hair and horns.
When I, World-Honored One! I have heard that it is a language, but I have never heard it. That is, to all bodhisattvas, with deep respect. The repetition is the recitation, the name of the family, the wisdom of the argument is able to be like this, who does not develop the three bodhichitta. I have never been here, and I no longer persuade people to use my reputation to support Buddhism. That's why I don't ask about the disease.
Mahakyāya said that after listening to the teachings of Vimala, he had the deepest respect for Mahayana Bodhisattva. Thinking that Vimala lay man has such great eloquence and wisdom as a lay person, who can't listen to it without developing a Mahayana mind? From then on, he no longer persuaded people to learn Buddhism in Hinayana . Therefore, the great Kasa did not dare to visit the sick, and he was the third disciple to turn down the mission.
Subodhi White Buddha said: World-honored! I can't afford to ask questions. The next one is Subodhi, who is also not on the mission of visiting Vimala.
So what? Remembering my past, I begged for food in his house. Shi Vima took my bowl full of rice, and said to me: "Only! Subodhi! If you can eat and wait, the Dharma will also be equal. Those who are equal to the Dharma are also equal to the food.
If they beg, they may take food. Subodhi once went to the house of the Vimal monk to make a fortune. Vimal took his bowl, filled it with food, and took it in his hand and cursed. If you can treat food as an equal without distinguishing between good and bad food, then you will see that all the Dharma will be empty. If you can achieve this realm, you will be qualified to come out and turn into karma and eat the food I have provided. Behold, Vimal is abominable!
If Su Bodhi is constantly lustful and angry, he will not be along; It is not bad for the body, but with the same phase; Immortal infatuation begins with liberation; With the five inverse phases, you can be liberated, and you will not be unbound. If you don't see the Four Truths, you don't see the Truths; Unless it is fruitful, it is not fruitful; Extraordinary husband, not from ordinary husband; Not saints, not saints. Even though all the Dharma is accomplished, and apart from all the Dharma, it is possible to take food.
What qualifications do you need to eat this bowl of rice? Although there are the worst of the five negative behaviors, and the bodhisattva appearance of vajra anger, he is neither liberated nor bound by habits.
I didn't see the path of the Hinayana path of suffering, but I saw the true meaning. I don't think I have a fruition when I have a fruit. Although he is not an ordinary man, he still does the things of ordinary people. Not a saint, nor can it be said that he is not a saint. All the Dharma has been accomplished, but it is not the appearance, so that you can eat my offerings.
If Subodhi does not see the Buddha and does not hear the Dharma, he is the teacher of the six masters of the outer path, the Buddha Naga Leaf, the Maga Pear Pear on credit, the Pura Vira Pura Son, the Aja Winged Shachen Bharat, the Kala Gyala Kajayan, the Niggandharati and so on, are your teachers, because they are ordained and fallen by the teachers, and you are also fallen, so you can eat.
Vimala continues to scold, if you have Bodhi and abandon your attachment to the Buddha and the Dharma, you can regard the six foreign masters as your teachers, and you are equal to the Buddha; In other words, the Buddha is also regarded as a master of the outer path. You follow the outer way to become a monk, and if you have such a skill, you will be qualified to eat this bowl of rice.
Speaking of this, I think of a Taoist couplet:
There is no better cultivation in the world
Nothing in the world is as hard as eating
Venerable Subodhi was in the limelight in the "Diamond Sutra", talking about the first place, and in this sutra he was scolded all the way down by the Vima monks, and this bowl of rice could not be eaten.
