One will be like a plum blossom, one will be like a peach blossom, one will be like a golden dragon, one will be like a phoenix, one will be more like an eagle, and one will be comparable to a unicorn. As soon as the time of the court arrived, three net whips sounded. The ministers, in a fixed order, walked along the road guarded by Yu Linlang in turn, paced this small square step, and entered the most brilliant and majestic palace of Daxing Palace---- Taiji Palace.

At this time, in the Taiji Hall, the heat that had already been set off by the blazing charcoal fire, and the ministers who were shivering from the cold just now were also warmed up a lot in an instant, not only warming the body, but also warming the heart.

After they had recovered a little, they heard the little yellow door singing loudly: "Your Majesty has arrived." Suddenly, above the court, it became quiet and solemn.

I saw that under the backdrop of the colorful canopy, under the support of the palace maids, Li Shimin was still wearing a bright yellow dragon robe, wearing a small felt hat, a gold and jade belt around his waist, and a fox fur that had been used for many years, and walked into the Taiji Hall along the royal road. Qi Yu walked on his own, carved with exquisite ornaments of the Huanghuali dragon chair. After he sat down, the ministers continued to shout long live as usual. After the ceremony, Li Shimin happily motioned to all the ministers to sit down.

"Ladies and gentlemen, if there are important matters in the past half a month, you can report them all" Li Shimin asked them energetically.

Hearing this question, Master Xuanzang took the lead in playing: "Your Majesty, since the old monk returned to the Tang Dynasty last year, he has translated three out of ten Sanskrit classics, and I hereby invite Your Majesty to preview it." I saw that Master Xuanzang took out another book that had just been transcribed from his sleeve: "Your Majesty, this is exactly according to Your Majesty's will, divided into categories, according to the Chang'an out of Guazhou, through the Western Regions, to Tianzhu. The "Chronicles of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty", which describes the customs and customs of 138 countries, as well as the geography and landforms, is hereby presented to His Majesty for preview."

Looking at Li Shimin's expression of relief, Master Xuanzang played again: "It's just that the title of this "Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty" has not yet been inscribed, so please move your majesty's pen lightly, and write the title of this book." ”

It was only then that Li Shimin noticed that this beautifully bound and neatly transcribed book was indeed on the front page, with a blank title, so he smiled and said, "This is very good."

casually, he picked up the wolf pen on the imperial case, stained it with red ink, and wrote down five dignified and delicate characters: The Tang Dynasty Western Regions. He also ordered the Weaving Department to find someone to engrave the engraving, print this book, and send it to the prefectures, counties and county governments.

With this orderly arrangement, Li Shimin then sincerely said the thoughts that came to mind just now to Master Xuanzang: "Master has achieved such a great cause, which is really a great blessing for my Tang Dynasty. Since the mage is so talented, and has made such a meritorious contribution to my Tang Dynasty, I only hope that the mage can think about this matter of returning home. I sincerely hope that you can always accompany you and conspire with the government. ”

Hearing Li Shimin's sincere words, Wang Xuance and his ministers were all relieved that Master Xuanzang could have this honor. Therefore, some ministers, along with Li Shimin's intentions, used words of encouragement to persuade Master Xuanzang to return home.

When Master Xuanzang heard this, he was very embarrassed. Despite this, he still replied to Li Shimin earnestly: "Since Xuanzang converted to Buddhism, he has strictly adhered to the rules and precepts of Buddhism, and only wants to promote Buddhism. These Buddhist classics, as well as the customs and customs of the countries, and even the "Records of the Western Regions of the Tang Dynasty" are all due to the wish to propagate the Dharma. Without the desire to propagate the Dharma, all this is empty talk. And this is also the mirror that I often dress up, Xuanzang, as a disciple of Buddhism, must not forget his roots, and I hope that His Majesty can be fulfilled. ”

After finishing speaking, Master Xuanzang cried bitterly and knelt on the ground. Li Shimin was once again moved by his desire to propagate the Dharma, so he stepped down from the throne and helped him up, encouraging him to continue to do a good job in translating the scriptures.

With one thing settled, but another thing arose. At this time, I only listened to Sun Wuji, the chief secretary of the Ministry of Rites, and said: "Your Majesty, in the past half a month, the country has been peaceful, the world is peaceful, and all countries have come to the court, but it is a pity that Your Majesty's celebration of the 20th anniversary of his accession to the throne has passed in such a hurry, and the subjects are very sorry......"
