Chapter 32: Fox High School
"Sheldon, can you take me to your room for a tour?" Karl said to Sheldon.
"I'll take you! I'll stay in a room with Sheldon!"
Mishi was the first to stand up and tell Carl that she liked her cousin very muchβdon't think crookedly.
Karl nodded, getting up to follow.
Sheldon also stood up and chased after him.
He already regarded Carl as a confidant, so he didn't allow Mishi to speak ill of him behind his back.
He knew Mihi could do it.
So, the three of them appeared at the door of Sheldon's room together.
The room is warmly furnished, with two single beds placed side by side, separated by a distance, and it is this distance that makes the layout of the room clear to the left and right.
On the left there is a pile of books, on the wall are Einstein's pictorials, and on the right there are piles of dolls and other little girls' supplies.
There was a computer against the wall in the middle of the room, and Carl couldn't help but glance at it a few more times.
Due to the court's injunction, he hadn't touched a computer for several years.
Alas, how could the hand be so indebted at that time!
If he hadn't emptied the bank in one go in his early years, he would still be able to play minesweeper now.
But now, he can't even touch the keyboard.
"Actually, you should go to George's room!" Mishi said to Carl with a grin, "He has a lot of yellow magazines hidden in his room!
Do today's little girls know so much?
Then, Karl nodded.
He didn't find what he was looking for in Sheldon and Mihi's room.
Not a magazine!!
So, Carl went to George's room.
Shaking his head in disappointment, neither did he.
It shouldn't be.
Karl frowned.
At this moment, George ran out of the living room.
Apparently, Sheldon went back and made a small report.
"Mihi, how can you open the door to my room without permission!" complained George.
He was not disgusted by Carl's visit to his room, but was habitually dissatisfied with Mihi's actions.
When George came, there was a gust of wind, and Carl sniffed subconsciously.
Yes!
A serious expression changed to his face.
"George, can you take me to your school later?"
He smelled the same smell from George and Sheldon.
The taste of magic.
It wasn't from the two of them, it was from them.
This smell is not something that ordinary magic can make.
Ordinary magic has no taste, they only have traces left over from the casting of spells.
But this one in George and Sheldon is special.
Carl smelled blood.
"Is that okay?" said Kardi, who was a little anxious, much to George's confusion.
But he nodded anyway, "Of course, no problem." β
When the three of them returned to the living room, the eyes of the four parents all looked at them.
"What's wrong, Carl?" asked Louise.
She was keenly aware that something was not quite right with Carl's expression.
"Carl asked me to take him to school!" George said preemptively, looking nonchalant, "You know, get a taste of high school life in advance. β
Based on Karl's expression, George felt that something interesting might happen on this school trip, and he didn't want to miss a good show.
"Is that so, Carl?" Louise said with an inquiring look on her face, and by her mother's instinct, she felt that things were not easy.
"Yes. Carl nodded.
"You can take Sheldon with you, and your uncle will drive you!" said Mary happily.
Although they compare each other, they are a family after all, and George and Mary very much want Sheldon and Carl to be friends.
"Don't!" said Carl and Little George in unison.
The two looked at each other, and Carl made a gesture of please.
"Well, I mean," George thought for half a second, "if Carl and I were with us, we would just go straight to it, and if we were going to take Sheldon, we would have to be given it by Dad." β
Karl immediately nodded in agreement.
If anything happens, George's age should be able to help.
But Sheldon, forget it.
George and Sheldon's high school is in the small town where their family lives, a five-minute drive and a much slower walk, but a shortcut of only a dozen minutes.
On the way, George was a little at first a little uneasy, but soon, he began to babble.
In fact, always overshadowed by Sheldon's aura, George has always been a neglected presence at home.
At school, it was difficult for him to make any close friends, so he didn't talk about his heart until he met Carl.
For some reason, although Carl was several years younger than him, George always felt that Carl was someone who could understand him.
So, George hesitated for a moment and said, "You know, Carl, I mean, you probably haven't experienced this feelingβ"
"There's a gifted baby in the family, and you're always the one who doesn't take it seriously?" asked Carl with a smile.
"Of course!" said George at once.
Then, realizing that he was acting as if he was a little excited, he coughed, "I mean, yes. β
"Sorry, I didn't experience it. Carl shook his head.
There was a look of disappointment on George's face.
Thinking about it, Carl, as the only son of Uncle Nick and Aunt Louise, is naturally used to being a baby at home, how can he understand his feelings.
Carl couldn't help but laugh.
He patted George on the shoulder, "Come on, buddy, don't let this negative feeling get to your mind. β
"There are too many people who were not valued by their parents when they were young, but when they grow up, they all soar to the sky!"
Carl smirked, "I know several such people!"
"Who are they?" asked George immediately.
Carl shook his head, "I can't name them. β
Just kidding, can you say the names of these people casually, and what if they perceive them across the multiverse?
Of the things he knew, several of them later became cosmic-level bosses.
"But what I can tell you is to focus on what is in front of you. β
George looked at Carl, who smiled at him.
"If you focus on what you're looking for, you'll see that there's nothing you can't do. β
"I know this very well. Carl winked mysteriously.
Concentration is a necessary condition for all success.
This is especially true in the wizarding world.
All magic, if you want to successfully unleash it, the prerequisite is concentration.
George was stunned, he felt a little touched by what Carl said, but he couldn't say why, so he had to keep them in his heart.
"That's it. George said, pointing to a school in front of him.
"Fox High School?"
Looking at the sign at the school gate, Carl repeated it several times.
Why does it sound familiar, as if you've heard it somewhere?
Besides, the town where his uncle's family lives isn't called Fox, right?
Perhaps he was confused by Carl's words, and George explained: "This school was moved from Fox Town, Washington, ten years ago, and the whole town moved here, and my dad was a football coach here. β
As he spoke, he patted Carl on the shoulder, "Let's go, I'll take you there." β
