Therefore, all tokens are empty, they are just a kind of sustenance, as long as they can educate people's hearts and persuade people to be good, why not do this? ”

And in the old site of this Famen Temple, except for the palace above the underground palace is still clean, it is still a broken wall. If you want to talk about why this Famen Temple is such a scene, you have to start from his past and present lives.
This Famen Temple is said to have been built in the eleventh year of Emperor Ming of the Eastern Han Dynasty (68 AD). Famen Temple is a typical Buddhist dojo where a tower is built because of relics and a temple is built because of the tower.
Since the wooden stupa was built, it has been worshiped by many devotees at that time. However, since the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, the land of China has been in flames of war, and various separatist forces have become one, so the wooden pagoda where the relics are stored has also been repeatedly destroyed in the war. The greatest damage was during the period of Emperor Taiwu of the Northern Wei Dynasty. This is the first Buddha martyrdom of Buddhism in the land of China, "Emperor Wu destroyed Buddha"
At that time, the Northern Wei Dynasty had just unified the north, and in order to consolidate its position in the Central Plains, the whole people were used as soldiers. Therefore, Emperor Taiwu of Wei, who was determined to be martial arts, issued an edict in the fourth year of Taiyan (438), and all Shamen under the age of 50 were still vulgar to serve in the military. Under the persuasion of Prime Minister Cui Hao, he converted to Kou Qianzhi's Heavenly Master Dao, rejected Buddhism, and gradually developed into an action to destroy Buddhism.
Of course, in this calamity, the wooden pagoda of Famen Temple is also in danger. Buddhist scriptures were destroyed, stupas were burned, and they were left in ruins. Despite this, many believers continued to come to burn incense and worship the Buddha at that time, and it was called the "holy mound" by the people at that time.
In 558 AD, the descendants of the Northern Wei royal family, Qizhou Mu Tuoba Yu repaired the Asoka Temple and the Relic Pagoda. And in the second year of Emperor Gong of the Western Wei Dynasty (555 AD), the pagoda was opened for the first time to pay homage to the relics, and the Famen Temple became famous and became one of the four major Buddhist resorts in China.
In the third year of Emperor Wen of Sui (583 AD), it was renamed "Chengshi Dojo", and the relics stupa was called "Chengshi Dao Occasion". In the second year of Renshou (602), Li Min opened the tower for the second time. In the second year of Sui Yining (618 AD), "Chengshi Dojo" was changed to "Famen Temple". This is where the name of Famen Temple comes from. However, in the second year, Famen Temple was unfortunately burned, and after a skyrocketing fire, only the ruins of the tower base remained.
Tang Taizong Zhenguan five years (AD 632), Qizhou Thorn Shi Zhang Deliang built Wangyun Hall on the base of the tower, to the temple on behalf of the tower, the palace tower 4 floors. This Buddhist treasure was discovered, so there was a matter of Taizong inviting the Buddha to refer to the relics for reporting the news and observing it.
Later, although the festival was held with great momentum, the Famen Temple was still not repaired, and it was just a four-story hall built by Zhang Deliang. After viewing, this Buddha finger relic is still enshrined in this underground palace......
