For the construction of houses in residential areas, Wei Minsheng is a little entangled.

The construction period of the frame structure house is long, and the life of the cement is only more than 100 years at most, and the effect can only be achieved when the cement grade is high enough.

Exposure to the sun, rain, and heat and cold causes tiny cracks in the concrete, which slowly grow larger and eventually affect the rebar that wraps inside.

Once the steel bar comes into contact with air and moisture, it is easy to embroider, reduce the strength of the steel bar, and eventually endanger the safety of the entire reinforced concrete structure.

This is also the reason why the reinforced concrete structure below the ground has a longer lifespan, because the temperature change below the ground is small, and the thermal expansion and contraction have little effect on it.

In some tofu scum projects in the real world, it is not uncommon for buildings to collapse in 20 or 30 years.

The higher the building, the more aspects such as safety, water supply, fire protection, and transportation need to be considered.

One might argue that China's population is so large that it has to secure enough land to cultivate it, so it has to build high-rise buildings to accommodate these residential needs.

But they don't know that the red line of 1.8 billion mu of cultivated land is simply an outdated proposition.

Because at the time of this proposition, the output and recycling efficiency of land was much lower than it is now.

The same acre of land, harvesting up to two seasons a year, is simply not comparable to a "vegetable factory" that produces all year round.

Moreover, in the near future, the demographic dividend will disappear and the elderly population will increase.

The advent of an ageing society means a decrease in the demand for food.

The ultra-low fertility level can foresee a large-scale decline in the total population of the entire society in the next 20 years.

All of this indicates that there is a surplus of real estate, but some interest groups are unwilling to admit it in order to protect their own interests.

Although there are still some unsatisfactory aspects of the New Ark Hotel and T30, this is due to the constraints of the building materials of the time.

In the emergence of a variety of new building materials, the poor sound and heat insulation has been greatly improved, and the sound and heat insulation effect of some materials even exceeds the performance of masonry structures.

The pure steel structure is prone to rust, but the use of bolted connections gives it the possibility to replace the damaged parts at any time.

This possibility also means that the life of the steel structure building will continue to extend.

The current replacement frequency is about 60 years, and such a service life is comparable to that of most concrete houses.

Moreover, after a breakthrough in the field of steel rust prevention in the future, the frequency of such replacement of major components will be greatly delayed.

There is also a reason why Wei Minsheng likes steel structure buildings, even because of the irresistible factors of manpower, which makes the steel structure buildings seriously damaged.

It is also possible to recover most of the material from these ruins, rather than leaving a single area of solid waste as is the case with traditional reinforced concrete buildings.

Modular construction also means that it can be dismantled, and the building can be dismantled and rebuilt in another place by loosening the bolts.

In this way, even if there is a certain deviation in the plan, the demolition can be carried out with minimal damage and without changing the original appearance of the building.

Compared with the eight main roads that were filled in by pipes and earth and rock, this residential area consisted of 16 trapezoidal pits of various sizes and more than 20 meters deep before construction began.

In the garage on the lowest floor, the problem of resurgence of moisture and water accumulation has always been a problem, so Wei Minsheng simply converted it into an indoor swimming pool and car wash.

In this way, it is pointless to discuss the problem of the return of water and water accumulation in swimming pools and car washes.

Moreover, the wastewater discharged during the water change of the swimming pool can be used for the initial flushing of the vehicle to achieve the purpose of comprehensive utilization.

In order to reduce the impact of sun and rain on them, Wei Minsheng added an extra corridor to them.

In this way, people walking in the corridors will not be affected, whether it is windy or rainy.

It not only protects the main structure of the store, but also improves the safety factor of the shop's customers, at least, they will not slip due to rain and snow, and will not be injured by falling objects from high altitudes.

Separate corridors, on the other hand, are easier to repair and replace in the event of a problem, making them more cost-effective.

Of course, such a complex city cannot be built in a short period of time.

And after the completion of the main project, there are more details to consider.

Wei Minsheng hopes that during the construction of this first city, a large number of construction workers who are familiar with one or several construction skills will be cultivated, so as to reserve strength for future development.
